We had such a great time eating here tonight! We’ve lived in Frederick for 8 years but never tried this place. Bobby was an absolutely stellar chef. Everything was cooked to perfection including the vegetables. His Teppanyaki skills were awesome and the service was 10/10. We will definitely return and at this point I can’t see us going back to our usual mt airy spot. We also tried this tuna-jalepeno-cream cheese appetizer which was excellent. The salad dressing is my all time favorite from any place we’ve tried, I wish I could buy it bottled!

I went to the bar, it was great. There are hibachi tables there and you can see the theatrics as the chefs put on their shows. The service, as well as the quality of the goods was amazing. They definitely need a social media presence because it was great.

The amount of food you get is staggering! I have enough for a few meals at home, The food is very tasty, the show at the Teppan grill is fun. Go with your family! Go with friends!

My family and I have been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. Today was no exception. The hostess was friendly and greeted us with a smile. We were seated quickly and promptly (Thursday evening).

The teppanyaki chef was exceptional. He engaged with my whole family and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. The food was prepared perfectly and tasted amazing. Their prices are fair and standard...$25-$35.

I will note, their child portions are basically the same as an adult portion. So you might want to order one and have them split it. Overall, Matsutake did not disappoint. A must if you want to treat the family to something fun and special.

I took my daughter who turned 10 there for her birthday celebration because she's been asking to go for about a year this was the first time we've been there. I will tell you this it is the absolute greatest entertainment while they're cooking it is the absolute best tasting hibachi and it is the most food you could possibly get in one serving so it's definitely well worth the cost. Everything was absolutely great and we will definitely be going back

Delicious hibachi with giant portions. The hibachi dinner comes with a little bowl of soup broth and a little bowl of salad as an appetizer, white rice (fried rice is $2.50 extra), lo mein noodles, vegetables, 2 shrimp, and protein of your choice (steak, chicken, shrimp, filet mignon, etc). We ordered the chicken and shrimp, and steak and shrimp. It's pretty pricey (about $30 for each hibachi dinner) but the portions are so big that we took most of it home for leftovers.

Amazing service, amazing food. The atmosphere was relaxing and had a great playlist in the background. A must visit if you are in the Westview/Frederick area. You will not regret it. :) cheers

Haters are going to hate. If you order well, you'll be happier. Get some nigori sake in a cup. Order salmon, tuna, fatty salmon, and eel sashimi with an avocado roll. And I guarantee you'll be satisfied and ready for your flight out of DCA. You're welcome. Kiss kiss.

I have been coming here for years and believe it is the best sushi in frederick. Great prices and pieces are very fresh.

No complaints, went for lunch. Food was good, service was excellent. The vibes are kinda meh, but that's not really a big deal for a workday lunch

This place has sushi buffet during the lunch and only for lunch hours for around $13. They had a nice selection of sushi to choose from. The bar was kept well stocked. They also had salid bar with seaweed salid, fruit and some other tasty items. Miso soup was available and was very good as well. If you don't want to order buffet, there is a ala Cart menu to get what you want. They have hibachi style food preparation as well.

We had a great experience at Matsutake for dinner. Our chef not only put on a good performance but he cooked our food perfectly! The waitress was attentive, we never once had to ask for drinks, she brought them before we were empty.

Amazing. Chef was very funny. Food was fantastic and it's a great value. PS. Get the Bamboo cocktail.

Had dinner last night at Matsutake in Frederick. We all loved our meals and the experience was very nice. We will return for another enjoyable evening in the future. Give it a try!

Sushi was good!! Ordered 2 orders of the sweet potato rolls and I should have ordered them well done! They took them off my receipt since I didn’t like them how they came which was unexpected. Definitely recommend this place in Fredrick.

What a good time. Fast and curtious! The sushi is so good! Definitely recommend! Bryan was funny, fast and a great chef!
