Friendly staff. We loved our mattress! We bought a sleepnumber and their dual temp system. The temperature system didn't work well for our preferences and returning it was easy.

Mel was a great salesman. He listened to our questions and didn’t try to sell us something we didn’t want

First of all to the people that complain, you can schedule a time. We didnt and we had absolutely no idea how much time this would take doing it correctly. It's the thing that other than money will be the most important thing.
We spent hours not minutes not almost an hour but hours with Carma, sorry if I spelled it wrong, but this is exactly what a retail salesperson used to be, I'm about 55 so I remember. Nothing high pressure at all. So very knowledgable about every model.
And yes, we went with the most expensive model with all the bells and whistles but everything and I mean everything was answered.
I've bought cars and trucks for 3 times the cost and didnt get this level of service. I dont have the bed yet but I already sleep better knowing its coming.
I will definitely update this post after we get the bed. To whoever in corporate you need to take a look at this team. I hate shopping and I hate spending money and I hate sales tactics. This store rocks! And it doesn't take major purchases either, the pet supplies plus in Portage got the same rating as did my car purchase. You need to look at this team and take and learn if you have any underperforming stores.

Great location. We've had sleepnumber beds for 14 years now and truly love them. The staff here are friendly and helpful.

Going into the crossroads Sleep Number Store and putting our feet up was a wonderful experience. We met with the Manager Mel Rutherford. It was an amazing experience. Mel was so knowledgeable and the overall presentation was fantastic. We tried out 3 different beds prior to making our purchase.

I did not come in that to purchase a bed. As owner of a select comfort for 32 years, I wanted to appease my wife. Although, we wanted to purchase a temperpedic....but after speaking with Carma and comparing the mattress warranty and my previous purchase. We purchased, what we believe is our last bed. "Grandpa Mel" was ABSOLUTELY wonderful. He showed me many options, which was certainly a BIG difference from when I purchased my first Sleep Number bed in 2003, and retiring it as soon as the new one arrives. The expense wasn't as important as the fact that I knew I needed a new bed, but also limited to the size of the base going upstairs and I already knew I couldn't get a queen size base up there.
I was EXTREMELY excited to see and know I could STILL get a new Sleep Number bed where the base was split! Thank you so much for ALL you kind work at helping me get a NEW bed Mel!!
Mel also recommended a couple wedge pillows to help with the snoring issues!

Staff was helpful in selecting the best bed option and optimizing current savings. We received a follow-up call to ensure the delivery went well also. Good customer service.

Mel did the initial information and demonstration. Very informative and helpful in making our decision to buy. We could have had the Bed sooner than 1/27 but Your Bank would not allow us to drive down to the store and complete the order so we had to wait for the credit system to wind its way thru "long path" Other wise we Anxiously await delivery

Our visit to the Westnedge Ave. store in Portage, MI was very informative and helpful. We returned a couple of days later and purchased a bed. We appreciate that we were not pressured to make a purchase. The staff was very friendly, yet professional, and answered all our questions.

I have known Mel for many years. Very stand up guy. Carma helped us out and we are excited about our new purchase. Hopefully it will last a very long time.

Lisa provided us with a great deal of information about the beds and sleep. We greatly enjoyed her knowledge of the different products available along with her sense of humor. Kudos to the entire team!
