Best BBQ sandwich in the area... surprisingly... It's a gas station/ bait shop/ restaurant. The food is good BBQ is top shelf. They don't always have it so it's hit or miss..

Great place, ice cold beer, good cooked finger food, ice, bait and nice selection Lucas CatchAll Spinners for the Oconee River, what more could you need?

Went to get bait and a few other items. Only had the bait and was a bit pricey. The cashier was friendly though.

Here's some advice, take out a second mortgage before you stop by. A minnow bucket with NO minnows and a small bag of ice cost $11.00!

Only buy stuff here if you absolutely have to. I would suggest pre-buying your minnows or bait elsewhere. Prices are full retail so I can't realistically complain but can be cheaper.

Touching more on the minnow though, it is a total scam. Sure you'll get your minnows but you won't get the amount you actually paid for. We bought 36/ 3 dozen minnows, we barely had over 2 dozen and then some change. This will be the last time I will purchase anything there unless I need to. Avoid this place if you can help it. If not be aware of what you're buying.

If you're buying minnow, count the amount you have, if you're short, call them out on it. Another place, if you happen to come through is the Winder Bait store near Fort Yargo, that is run by a much nicer and sociable folks.

Only positive is the cool cat that chills at the entrance, he/she is a good kitty. Give em pats.

If you see the red 4Runner, just keep driving. The lady that owns it (and I'm pretty sure the store) is rude, and will stuff her face and talk on her phone the whole time you're checking out. Won't respond or even make eye contact when you say "hello, how are you" or "thank you, have a nice day". (Should the customer be saying those things before her anyway?)

The place is expensive and rarely opens on time, especially on weekends. Which happens to be when most people are trying to buy bait. Lost count how many times they've caused me to be late getting to the water.

They're only surviving because it's in the middle of nowhere and sell bait. When your regulars that live nearby are the only thing keeping you afloat, it's best not to p!ss them off.
