I was thoroughly delighted with the prime rib roast that I bought from Shields Meats and Produce!
Just excellent! Definitely worth paying a little extra for a delicious prime rib like you get at a good restaurant! 320 F for 1:30 minutes was perfect for about a 3 1/2 pound roast!

Shield's has a fantastic selection of fresh meats. They supply nearly all the restaurants in the area. Prices are reasonable for what they carry, and the quality is fantastic. Worth the trip!

Shield meat is the best in the area. I go often, so I am recognized and treated well. When I first started buying meat there I felt uncomfortable and felt like an outsider. I got average service. Now Shields treats me well. They do stand behind what they sell. I often ask them to cut or grind to order and they're happy to accommodate. I can't find better meat anywhere!

The service is great. The meat selection and quality is excellent. I'm hooked on the thick cut bacon. They offer different packages of meat for bulk purchases, which I plan on doing soon. It's not a large market but they have a little of everything it seems. O find something new to try each time I visit...

Top notch!! 2 inch Ribeye was off the charts. Best steak for sure. Very happy going back for more to bring home. Update also the Best Hotdog hands down bringing some home with me for sure!

These guys are awesome - great product, really friendly staff. Locally sourced everything, and the items made there have great flavor. Price is higher than local grocery stores - absolutely worth it - every penny.

Great place. Unique butcher offering unique cuts and homemade dinners to go. Try the potpie, or take home their bacon burger meat and grill up some tasty burgers. They also have hotdog meat in the shape of a burger.

Exelent place to buy the best meats in South Maine. They have their own meat farm, and you can drive and pick your favorite cuts,and also they wholesale.

Go in alot for their own hotdogs and kielbasa. Large selection of fresh meats. Highly recommend

I came all the way from New York to get their red hot dogs. While I was there I happened to see a Maine blueberry cake thingy and it was sooooo delicious! I make it a mandatory stop when I'm in Maine.

High quality meats. I love their marinated beef and chicken. Livens up an outdoor barbecue. Well worth the price. Friendly, helpful staff.

The road they are on was shut down all day due to a serious accident. I received a call AFTER BUSINESS HOURS to insure I was able to get thru road block, or they would personally deliver the same evening. ARE U KIDDING ME??? That’s what I call ABOVE AND BEYOND!! AND ... oh yeah... their meat is AWESOME!

As the BEST! Their MEAT is ABSOLUTELY the BEST! I have been visiting Maine for 17 years and this is the only place I will buy my meat!

I get my Shields hot dogs in kittery Maine at Carl's Meat Market. Absolutely the best tasting hot dogs going around. I like mine with mustard.

Love the freshness of this place and the incredibly friendly staff. I will never go to the grocery store again to purchase meats..Shields is now the place for me!!
