Super nice staff and they are all so knowledgeable about the trains. They helped us every step of the way! I was able to find the perfect train for my mom for Christmas and now she is hooked! 😂I think I'll bet going back to get myself one too as I just didn't realize how much fun they would be.

I never had the money to buy a train. Although it is a really cool hobby shop with a diorama in the back that I could probably watch for hours. If your a model train collector or any model collector in general I would REALLY recommend this place.

I placed two orders within this past week, and both orders shipped the same day and arrived two days later. Items were packaged safely and securely in each of the shipping boxes, so there was no damage. I visited Legacy Station with my daughter and to have an engine serviced. Brian was extremely helpful with servicing my locomotive. The shop had a great selection of anything and everything model trail. They also have a room with really neat train scenery and sets.

Very friendly staff. My son went in hoping to trade his trains and tracks to a different scale the owner worked thoroughly with him for a good hour lol. In the end we didn't trade but did still upgrade his train set. The store is well stocked and clean even had a little play area for the babies!!

Friendly staff, fun display with great access and ideas. Clean restrooms. Family friendly and very helpful.

Great place to do business, just wish they would be closer, so I could go there at least once a week.

Great Store! My wife and I love this place! The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful! They also have cool model displays to look at! It’s really nice to go to a place that actually dedicated to model trains and not a hobby shop that’s only 10% trains and 90% other junk. I would highly suggest this place to beginner and advanced model train experts!

I was new to Lionel model trains. Joseph took the time to answer all my questions regarding O gauge trains. I purchased a train set and miscellaneous items from him and could not be happier. Great job Joseph.

Nicest hobby shop I've ever visited , but I expected them to have more inventory.

I found out about Legacy Station when I ordered some track via eBay. They shipped out the same day and I receive my items quicker than anticipated.
I then had to order more parts and sceneries so I ordered directly from their website. Once again the service was fast. I also called them with a question before I ordered, and they probably answer the phone and were very knowledgeable and helping me make my selection. I highly recommend legacy station for all your hobby and train railroad he needs.

12/9/2023 update - great shop. I buy from Legacy from long distance. I have always been impressed by the store's personnel's responsiveness.

Prior review - I am very pleased with Legacy Station and its owner. I bought a train for our family's Christmas. The kind of high quality train that was built decades ago in the day of my father and grandfather. Specifically, I bought an MTH Christmas Freight. I fell in love with the train instantly. The smoke, however, could not be turned off. So, elation turned to anger very fast. The warranty manual for MTH says "Return to warranty center." I live in an area of the desert SW where there is no service center. So, now MTh is saying I have to incur added expense and a long wait to get a working train. None of this was Legacy Stations fault, but I called them anyway. I was in a cab thousands of miles from home, when Legacy's owner solved the issue over the phone. He sent me a new engine at no added expense to me, and he personally inspected to make sure the MTH unit was in perfect working order. It arrived shortly after I got home. It woks great. Plus, the owner is a super nice guy that is exceptionally knowledgeable about all things train.

Legacy Station is literally 1,400 miles from my house. But, after this experience, I will be buying all my hobby equipment from Legacy Station. I believe in buying local to support your local small business. But, we have virtually no hobby stores where I live, and the one I know of has almost no train inventory ... they are an RC car, or drone shop.

So, for myself, I won't be buying local. It makes much more sense for me to go straight to Legacy Station for all my hobby needs. They have best of breed service, and exceptional depth of knowledge of all things train. Just for loyalty sake, I will probably buy my non train things from them also.

I just placed an order and, to my surprise considering it's Christmas time, it arrived in just two days! The pieces were packed with care and in perfect condition. While those worked beautifully, they confirmed that my postwar 1666 engine, sadly, does not. I guess I have a much bigger winter project than I had hoped! When I am ready for more toys, though, Legacy Station will be my first stop; they are the best!

The best train shop in Georgia. They have a family atmosphere and are always happy to help find direction for whatever your train needs may be. I had problems with a item I purchased and went back to get it fixed. They got information on the issue to sent it back, then gave me another new one off the shelf! What customer service!!! They have almost anything you would need to start or add on to your layout. They periodically have a short run of special order train cars that you can add to your rolling stock for special occasions. The layout room has been updated since the photos on their website were taken and it is interactual for the young ones. I love visiting this Gem in Georgia and highly recommend to anyone!
