Ivy Bookshop

This is a lovely, cozy bookstore with very knowledgeable staff and a warm, tranquil ambience.
When we entered the bookstore, a few fellow readers were at the billing desk, talking about ‘Braiding Sweetgrass’ and the bookseller had an additional, detailed recommendation for a similar, older, (and what sounded like a) beautiful book, ‘A Sand County Almanac’ by Aldo Leopold. He placed it in context and told its story so well, I was inspired to get the book (they didn’t have it in stock, so elsewhere). I really appreciate such bibliophilic conversations and was particularly happy I was witness to this one.
The only danger here is getting lost in the stacks once you enter. Definitely one of the nicest bookstores I’ve been to in the US!

A really cozy bookstore. I don't really see this kind of bookstores around much, so it's really nice to have found this place. Great selection of books from all the genres in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Staff are very polite and so are the people who are browsing through. I live in College Park and I try to come by when I'm in Towson.

Excellent local book shop, pictures are of books on my "to buy" list after my first stop in and getting a short stack! Raided their 50% off selection outside plus got a book I wanted when Ivy was at a convention I was at, excellent customer service too! Get there early, always a crowd!

Beautiful space inside and out with helpful friendly staff. Great kids gifts and stationary as well as book selections. And I always appreciate the option of complimentary wrapping!

This place was so sweet! I loved this shop. They had lots of indie, BIPOC, and LGBTQA authors. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The shop was set up comfortably with plenty of space between shelves and lots of windows with natural light. I will definitely be coming back!

Fabulous, helpful staff and lovely curated selection of books. Also willing to work with local nonprofits and schools, which I especially appreciate. Highly worth a visit to this local book seller!

What a cute shop! They had a lot of new books and a great collection for all preferences. I was able to find a popular book for my bookclub and they offer gift wrapping as well! Plus a free sticker!

The vibes are immaculate!!! We spent like an hour in here just browsing and left with some great reads. Everyone working was super friendly and respectful of the atmosphere. Reading the personal reviews of some of the books was a highlight. 11/10, grab a book and read it in the park!

For me, a local bookstore’s value is in curation, promoting like minded cultural events and providing interesting new titles.

This did all those things with a personal touch and a cozy venue.

Love going here with my mom and getting different books we also got my son a puzzle here.

I love this charming bookshop! I live down the road and love walking over to check out their selection. They also have a great selection of small trinkets and gifts! All of my favorite things in one place 🤩
