Great experience for multiple services. They pressure tested my lines and identified a couple of leaks where my liner meets the steps and installed a new safety pool cover. The process from start to finish for both services was very professional and transparent. They responded promptly to all of my inquiries, quotes and detailed statements of work were sent via email and signed for, installation dates were accurate without any delays, and they took the time to answer any and all questions...and I asked a lot. Huge thank you to Jason and Courtney.

I feel confident I've finally, after 10 years, found the right company to help me with my future pool needs.

The company that installed our inground pool last year kept giving us the run around this year about servicing some ongoing issues so we called Affordable Pools. Customer service at the office level was great & even though they said it would take a few weeks for them to come out ,because it was the beginning of the season, we agreed to wait since we couldn't even get a call back from other places. We knew we had to have someone that was a Hayward dealer for warranty reasons. A couple days before they called & gave us a time window for their arrival & then on that day I rcvd a text letting me know they were on their way. From the second he arrived Austin & his coworker (sorry I didn't catch his name) were friendly, professional & beyond helpful! They blew us away with their knowledge & willingness to help. Austin discovered that the original company hadn't programmed the system right to begin with!!! 😳 He fixed every single one of our issues (there were quite a few) in about an hour. We most definitely have found our new pool company & will highly recommend them!!! 🥰🥰🥰

This is a 5 star rating for AFFORDABLE POOL & SPAS but I need to give the nightmare that preceded finding them. Anyone who has owned a HOTTUB in the last few years understand how frustrating it is to have purchased poor quality products and experience shoddy customer service. In early October our HOTTUB had a leak and we were told by the company we purchased our tub from that they could come in 7 weeks and to keep filling it up daily so the pipes wouldn’t burst and freeze once the temperatures dropped. By the way that info wasn’t offered , I had to ask what to do in the meantime. Another company said they could winterize it around the same time. I asked about the leak , leaking out the winterizing solution. They couldn’t guarantee it would stay in the pipes because of not knowing where the leak is but couldn’t fix the leak until the spring. After 5 weeks of pure stress and upset where my husband wanted to blow my HOTTUB up he stumbled upon AFFORDABLE POOL AND SPAS. I spoke to their office person Julie who immediately put me at ease with her calm and caring voice. She was able to get me on their roster the following week. Even their phone message suggests keeping a heater plugged on in the inside engine compartment to ensure pipes don’t freeze. That would have been nice to know 7 weeks ago! Maintenance techs Austin R. & Justin E. worked their magic in the dark freezing cold wind and snow. They were like a surgical team with a whole menagerie of gear prepared for whatever the issue was going to be . 2 plus hours later they had the problem fixed and were at my door explaining what they had done. WOW! Talk about professional. I know one thing for sure . I won’t be calling anyone else but Affordable Pool and Spas the next time I have an issue . Thank you!! P.S. It’s so easy for people to complain about a problem but when you have a positive experience, even a little one, tell the business you are dealing with. It’s goes a long way to keep morale up and let them know what they are doing right.

Affordable Pool and Spa has been taking care of our pool for the last four years. I cannot say enough good things about the care they have given to the pool, the consideration they have given to me, the reasonableness of their costs and the timeliness of their service. I would recommend them to anyone in need of pool/spa service. ALL of their employees, technicians and office staff, are considerate and will answer all your questions in a timely manner. Recently Austin Padilla and Cody opened our pool for the coming season and they were terrific! They really know their stuff! Very, very satisfied with Affordable Pool and Spa, Inc.

Our pool was in such a bad state, we didn't know if it would even be salvageable. It was left with a tarp at the bottom, completely neglected for 3+ years, with zero maintenance. Affordable Pool were able to give us direct & accurate pricing & quotes. The pool needed extensive cleaning & the tech, Jens, has been the one to do it all. He came out, time after time, working tirelessly to complete the days tasks, while communicating everything he was doing, why he had to do it & what all we needed to do to maintain it. As first time pool owners we were very much in the dark, as far as maintaining & working the pool. Every time we called to ask a question or request a service, the reply was quick & the tech, Jens, was promptly sent to our aid. I can't thank him enough for his hard work & honesty. I would recommend this company to anyone needing any/all pool services.

We just moved into a new home with a pool and we were very bummed out to find that the heater was not working. We called several places and some did not do pool heater repairs and everyone was booked solid because of the pool opening season. I had one company stop by and look at my heater (while I was not home....not happy about that) and said "my heater was Shot".
Lucky for me, I called "Affordable Pool and Spa" and they we able to come out and assess my pool heater.
The skilled technician determined that my heater was not bad, but that there were a few parts that went bad and needed to be replaced. They ordered the part and advised me that the part would be in within a week to 10 days and they would call me to schedule a time for the repair when the parts came in.
I did not have to wait long, they part was in within a few days, they called me and sent me a detailed invoice (so I knew exactly what was going to be repaired and the cost) and set up a time for the repair.
They came out and repaired my heater and it is working great!!

My family is so happy that we can now enjoy our pool in our new home!!

Very responsive and took the time to help me with balancing chemicals and show me how to use the new (to me!) spa that came with the house we purchased! Took the time to help order filters and even delivered them to our home while we were working, placed them in a safe place which was much appreciated! Austin and another young man came out on May 3rd to open the spa and Austin came again to do the delivery according to the work order! The first work order was 65370 and according to an email if I mention his name and the work order he will get a reward so please reward him and the other man he was working with because they were truly very friendly and did a great job, even offered to help put everything back in my garage and remembered my name!

We purchased our new above ground pool though Affordable pool and spa. They were such a pleasure to work with and found us the exact pool we were looking for. The pool was easier than we thought to install. We had one hiccup we did not know how to fix and Ed went above and beyond to help us with his knowledge. Great service! Would recommend them to anyone.

Had a different company come out to close and clogged up skimmer line with pine needles etc so I’m a 20 year remodeler and thought I knew it all so how hard could it be to blow out lines myself? After 5 days, 3 different drain kings, 2 compressors, a 50 ft snake, a vacuum and a leaf blower, I was pretty frustrated that this clog wouldnt move-
The water would move from skimmer to pump but not from pump to skimmer- it would come back at me using a drain king-
Now cold snap is coming in 2 days and I dont have a choice now, but EVERYONE booked solid- uh oh…cracked lines in my future etc
Called Affordable and Julie bent over backwards to help me- they went so far as to have a guy (Jason) come out on his day off- they sent me the price which, initially I thought was a little high (ended up being best money I ever spent) Jason came out when he said he would- had to cut off the 90* elbow at pump, BECAUSE THERE WAS A BACKFLOW VALVE THERE, which was why I couldnt get at the clog in the first place- 5 days and about $600 wasted on tools, materials, rentals- Jason was very professional, listened to me whine for 2 hours, explained the entire procedure and what to do in the future not to mention some great tips-
In the end, he repaired the clog, fixed the pipes, Winterized the pool properly, installed huge pool cover etc etc all on his day off…- I got the final invoice and it was $100 less than previously stated and all I could think was how much I appreciated a job well done

Had our pool opened this last week. Austin and Rob did a fantastic job. We had great communication from the entire staff setting up and confirming our appointment. The guys were on time. They had my pool up and running in no time. I am a pool rookie, so I had lots of questions which they answered all of them. I will request Austin and Rob in the future for all my pool needs here at the house!

I am very impressed with the service I received when I had them close my pool. Austin and Mike were really friendly. They answered all of my questions, trust me I had many! This is my first pool and they gave me some very good tips on what to do and how to keep my pool safe during the winter. They arrived on time and worked quickly. They also told me that they deliver chemicals to your house! That's awesome considering I work nights. Based on my experience with the pool closing, I have decided that I am going to have Affordable Pool and Spa open my pool in the spring. I can now sit back and relax with no worries and wait for spring to get here! I would highly recommend using this company for all your needs!

I went to 3 different pool and spa suppliers before I ended up at Affordable. Ed was immediately attentive to what I was looking for. I ended up ordering a hot tub cover from him. He came outside and measured my old hot tub cover and made sure that the dimensions were perfect. They have a customer for life.

. My spa was leaking and I was not sure who to call so I asked some friends for a recommendation and they suggested Affordable Pool and Spa in Burton. I called on a week-end and they called me back on Monday. I set up an appointment and they came right out diagnosed the problem gave a printed out cost sheet (on the spot) and ordered the parts quickly. Tomorrow they come to actually fix it so I will post another review on how the repair went! They also measured and ordered a new cover for my spa and we are waiting on that to come in too! Looking forward to my spa being ship shape again soon! UPDATE!!!!!!!!
Austin Clark is awesome! He came out to do the repairs once the parts for my spa had come in. Austin was very polite and patient with all my questions. Once working on the part he realized that a different part was needed. Instead of making me wait longer for the correct parts he drove to Waterford (30 minutes away) to pick up the part, came back and repaired my spa. He made sure to top off the spa with water and check and make sure everything was in working shape.....Thanks Austin!

I just had Affordable Pool and Spa close my pool for the first time. I was impressed with every aspect of this business interaction. The person answering the phone was polite and efficient, the two people that came to the house were courteous and proficient. The charges are spelled out prior to the work. When I called to tell the manager how happy I was with the service I learned this was a small family business. They do it right folks. I've had a pool for twenty years. The best experience I have had.

I want you to know how impressed I was with the young man Austin who came out and performed my pool inspection yesterday. He was prompt, polite and very considerate of my lack of knowledge; explaining procedures and any questions I had. I really appreciated his professionalism as well.

My name is Ron. I have been through a couple pool and spa companies to fix my hot tub. To no avail. I found Affordable Pool and Spa on the internet. Thank the Lord for that. They are a great company. The owner was very professional to speak with, and gave prompt service. Austin Clark, the tech, spent approx 9 hours fixing my tub. There were several things wrong with it, but Austin figured them all out. I appreciated him staying that long through the rain/snow mix and the winds. He wanted to make sure we were up and running before he left. Thanks Austin. Great guy, great company and affordable, hence the name. Affordable Pool and Spa will be the spa store of my choice from now on.

Our pool was in terrible shape, it looked like a frog pond in June. Affordable Pool & Spa came out and worked diligently to get it clean and explained all the steps during the process. The pool was crystal clear when Jens finished it. It took a few days and a lot of chemicals, but he was able to get a great outcome. He brought extra chemicals out for us too, which saved us a trip to go out and buy them elsewhere.

Doug and Courtney closed my pool today. They were professional, kind and knowledgeable about fiberglass pools! I’m relieved, impressed and thankful for their hard work!
Scheduling the closing was excellent. The phone calls, text and emails were appreciated and made sure there were no questions.

Affordable Pool was very responsive when called to repair my hot tub. They advised of immediate preventative measures I should take until they arrived. When the day for service was scheduled, I was given a time window. On the day of the repair, the techs advised when they were on the way and arrived as scheduled. As it turned out, two trips were required to replace the broken parts. I was very pleased with the reasonable cost of the diagnostics and repairs.

I've been using Affordable Pool and Spa for 4 years now to service my 30,000 gallon in-ground pool. After having trouble with pricing and work completed by big local pool service contractors, I found Affordable Pool and haven't used anyone else since. The prices are fair, their communication is great, I instantly receive emailed copies of my receipts and service schedule, and Ed and his crew are always extremely nice and knowledgeable.
