Stillwater Hostel

We had a lovely stay here last night. Gary was very hospitable and helped us feel right at home. We stayed in the camper located on the property-- everything was clean and comfortable. Cherryfield is beautiful, and definitely a town worth passing through when exploring downeast Maine-- there aren't a ton of lodging options in the area though, so it's wonderful to have such a nice place with a welcoming host to land when you're here!

Lovely, lovely hostel! Although it is a little off the beaten track and you wouldn't get there without a car. But if you are there it's so great! Gary, the host, is living there with you and is so nice! He has lots of stories to tell and we had a really nice evening with him and the other guests. It was one of the best hostel experiences I've ever had.

Plus: the house is SO charming and lovely decorated. I would move in there, if I could :D

Perfect location for overnight stay when bike packing along the Downeast Sunrise Trail .

Ratings take type of lodging into account..its a hostel...very clean, spacious common areas.

This is a simple hostel, perfect for my needs. I needed a place where to sleep while traveling at minimal costs. Gary, the host, was very accommodating and helpful in many ways. The hostel is clean, provide clean towels and bed sheets, gives access to commons area (kitchen, dining room, living room, BBQ, etc). If I return near by, I would reserve again to that hostel. Thanks Gary for my stay

First....gerry the wonderful owner. Very kind (he gave us his own bed) very helpful, a pleasant and warm person like family...the all house is very clean, calm view, good music, good atmosphir, free coffe,free parking
