One of the best meals of the week. Definitely the best breakfast we had all week. The burrito was so worth it, and the maple bacon pancakes with the mac-nilla sauce were incredible. It is also fairly priced. Service was awesome. We got there early and didn't have to wait long. I wish I had time to go again.

One of our favourite places on the island for breakfast. They are always consistent. Came on a Tuesday. Usually they are really busy but something happened in the back so they were only open for takeout. We ended up ordering takeout but while we were waiting they reopened their dine-in and ended up with a table. We lucked out because they are usually slammed! Ordered the kawabunga breakfast and 808 grinds attack, both with crispy hash browns. Food came out quick and hot. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the crispy hash browns were so good. All time favourite thing here is the pancakes with their homemade mac-nilla sauce. I don’t often order pancakes, but I make an exception here just for that sauce. It’s so good

The breakfast food here is delicious! It was a little under 1hr wait for us, 2ppl but well worth the wait! We ordered 2 items from the special menu: ube pancakes and the kalua pork moco on a bed of hash. Wife had the steak, shrimp and eggs with hash browns. All were great. The pancakes with the ube sauce is sweet and doubled as a dessert.

It's family owned and run. Pops (Patrick) and daughter run the front and wait. Daughter also cooks in the kitchen. They are friendly and chill. It's good to come with island time mentality.

Delicious, affordable breakfast! We got a Ono Benedict special, as well as an order of the macadamia pancakes with coconut sauce, plus a side of spam and eggs. All of the eggs were cooked perfectly, as was the hollandaise on the Benedict. Creamy with just a little tang. The pancakes were soft, fluffy, buttery and subtly sweet, a perfect vehicle for the sweet gooey coconut sauce. With an iced coffee, a perfect, affordable breakfast in Lahaina. Also awesome that iced and hot coffee were the same price! This a popular place so expect a bit of a wait. Staff were super friendly despite the rush!

*Note: Grindz is what Hawaii calls food. Has nothing to do with coffee. You can get drip coffee here.

We liked this breakfast place. We were in a hurry to get to church but the pancakes were great! Crab cakes were nothing special.

Let me start by letting you know that you will have a wait a very long time to get seated and that choice will have to be made by you. If you don't want to wait long order take out and eat your food at a beach somewhere. Restaurant only has 7 to 8 tables at a time. It's small but the food is good and relatively cheaper than anywhere else in the island. We arrived at 7:45am knowing we would have to wait sometime. We got seated at 8:30am. We ordered food right away since we had time to take a look at the menu. Food arrived at 9:30am. We were done eating by 10:00am. You have to keep in mind that this is a privately owned establishment with minimal staff and seating which will lead to longer wait times.

Parking. Before I headed out I noted some reviews stating people getting cited for parking violations. I played it safe and moved the rental car from spot to spot but I didn't see any parking police activity while I was there. I also saw people parking where it clearly said not to park and nothing happened to them. If I were you park where it clearly says 1 hour parking and move your car around. Option 2 would be find paid parking on front street if you want peace of mind.

The food was great! I've never had anything like the breakfast burrito which isn't like your tradition burrito. It doesn't have a tortilla instead it's an egg blanket on top of rice topped with a special sauce that apparently you can get on the side if you ask. Macadamia pancakes were great as well. The macadamia glaze also had a very distinctive taste which followed me back home. I went to various breakfast spots on the island and without a doubt 808 was the one that left the biggest impression.

TLDR: Long wait to be seated. Order to go instead. Order breakfast burrito sauce on the side. Try macadamia pancakes. Park in 1 hour parking and hop around.

Absolutely Amazing!! Definitely worth the wait! I got the rainbow French toast with a side of fried rice and it was great! Best fried rice I’ve had in a long time! Highly recommend! Staff was so nice and kept updating us on the wait time. But we didn’t mind the wait at all, we had cups of coffee and just enjoyed our time there!

This place is a local MUST VISIT!! The food was fantastic and this family owned and operated business is a must for a quick breakfast bite.

Sadly the inside was closed but we grabbed take out & sat outside as the weather was just wonderful.

My husband and I were able to chat with the Father of the family and he was just so sweet and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast & much success to your restaurant!

The best breakfast we had all week. Definitely worth the wait. I enjoyed the crab cake bene & my hubby had Da bene trio. So good!! We also had to spilt a 2stack of the pancakes with the Mac-nilla sauce. Everything is excellent and the prices are reasonable.

OMG! The best breakfast by far on the island. This place can generate huge waits. There’s a sign in book out front and the inside only seats about 20-25. It’s worth the wait. It’s a family owned business.

We had the fried rice with eggs, breakfast platter, hot cakes and waffles. We will definitely be back. Check this place out which is off the beaten path but close to al the action.

The BEST breakfast in Maui. All take-out and phones get busy as soon as they open, so make sure you call early. You can order once you get to the location, but you will have a long wait. However, I'd say it was worth it. We had breakfast here twice during our stay because the menu had so many items we wanted to try! Super tasty

First time here at the 808 Grindz. Recommended by a friend from yelp! Everything they said was 100% true! The food is great and the people are super friendly! The older Filipino lady who served coffee is so cute! We got unlimited coffee served! The price was awesome literally there was food that cost $8.08. My favorite of course was spam, eggs, and rice!!! They got my eggs the ways I like it over medium!!! Only downside is the place is kinda small so expect a bit of wait time.

I would come back for the pancakes alone. Highly recommend the macadamia nut + ube pancakes. Don’t forget the macnilla sauce. Super delicious! The loco moco was on the saltier side, maybe because of the fried rice sub. Expect a long wait if you want to dine in.

This is an awesome little diner! You can tell by the line waiting outside it’s going to be great and we were not disappointed. Be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes. Really nice staff and delicious food!

We got the Mowie Wowie omelette with fried potatoes. Got to try some macadamia nut pancakes too and both were delicious!

Hawaiian portions are insane. Delicious and fairly priced, but SO MUCH FOOD. we waited about an hour and we arrived right at opening. You just put your name on a list and they call you as seats become available. I recommend just calling in your order!

Family run restaurant. Super friendly, great food and reasonably priced. Pictured 808grindz steak and eggs, Crab bene, and breakfast burrito sauce is excellent and helping is sizable. Bring your appetite. 😁 Would recommend this spot to anyone looking for breakfast / brunch. 🤙🏽

Tiny little cafe, seats maybe 25 at max, if there's a wait I'd say it's worth it! The banana pancakes with the mac-nilla sauce were seriously some of the best pancakes I've had in my entire life. So fluffy and flavorful. It's a small, friendly staff with a fairly good sized menu, prices were very reasonable, the coffee was fresh and the refills were frequent. I had the Kahlua pork benedict, my husband got the steak and eggs with the fried rice. Both were prepared exceptionally well, everything was fresh and came out so quickly.

Yummy breakfast and a fun spot. Be prepared for a long wait and cash only in terms of payment. The macadamia nut pancakes were heavenly and there were lots of options on the menu as well. Definitely going to have to try it a second time!

Up early on our first day in Lahaina figured we would try this breakfast spot. Let’s just say it was worth heading there first thing. Several eggs Benedict options and Moco options as well….they were amazing. Got a short stack of macadamia pancakes with the vanilla sauce. Super sweet so worth sharing this! Must get there early and get your name on the list since it’s first come first serve. Small staff so it did take a little to get the food but it was worth it. We will be back before we leave.

Delicious breakfast! The line was too long so we opted to get take away and eat in the car. Amazing experience regardless. The eggs benny were melt in your mouth and the meat is cooked to perfection. Get there but expect to wait. Well worth it!
