I have seen Dr Jansson for 30 years and been very impressed with his care. He explains everything weii, is patient, and refers appropriately to subspecialtists. I highly recommend him.

MD’s are great, and support staff as well. Some of the billing practices and habits have been sloppy, however. This has lead to my being threatened with being sent to collectoions over the amount of $7.76! This was voided a year ago. By a manager and not at my request. Instead of taking the accountable approach of investigating WHY it was dismissed, instead now I find myself faced with a threat of collections and credit score damage. An old EOB, was cited which I do not have in front of me- so for the sake of transparency, send me a copy perhaps?? But not offered. Then I was chided for making such a big deal over $7.76!! Indeed- why is the billing department making a fuss over it? I strongly object on grounds of principle. NOT because I cannot afford this. I did not request this to be removed. It simply was, without notification in the software or me apparently and now there is once again collection attempts. The bill that did come was unclear and so, being responsible, I called for clarification and was treated to this. Way to go Humboldt county healthcare. This is one of many reasons folks look outside of Hum Co. for healthcare.

I have been receiving treatments at north coast ophthalmology and had an appointment to get cataract surgery. After waiting for my appointment i received a letter telling me Dr Gibb isn’t doing cataract surgery
Anymore and sorry ! No referral to anyone else . Why is that? It’s like having a restaurant and no cook!!
