I popped into this place for the first time today, and wow, I just have to say, you've gotta check it out!
It's super cute & cozy and the view is just lovely. The menu has so many good things to pick from. Also the food was amazing and tastes super fresh. Plus, you get plenty of it on your plate. Definitely suggest dropping by if you're looking for a chill spot to eat and just have a good time out on the town.
Will definitely be back with the family! 💛

The fat kid sandwich was stunning. Considering one would never think to eat something like shut up period the roast beef with au jus was a Meaty punch to my hunger too. Do lobster bisque was every bit as good as texas de Brazil.

Love the Happy Troll! The food is delicious and the bakery produces amazing desserts. Our server Sharon was great. Would recommend to everyone. Stop by and say Hi to Dennis, the owner, whose hospitality is top notch!

The Happy Troll Deli and Pub on Bridge Street was suggested for a great place to lunch. The place was hopping, although I was seated right away. Wanting something special and new, my server suggested the Cherry Brie Burger; I wasn't disappointed with its impactful flavor of Brie, Dried Cherries, and a homemade sweet mustard sauce with a hit of horseradish. 😋

Great spot for lunch on Boyne Thunder weekend. No wait. Seated just before noon, out at 12:30. Great location, good food, fast, friendly service but didn’t feel rushed out the door, either.

Great food as always and so happy to get back from Florida for the winter to find one of our favorite waitresses (Krista) from Jax’s as our waitress! We now call the Happy Troll our “Happy” place to eat! Thanks Krista for the great service and great food from the kitchen!

It has been months since I've been here and I still think about the cherry brie burger.

Best lunch in downtown Charlevoix. Their soup is fantastic. Their sandwiches put all other sandwiches to shame and the menu is extensive.

Service is consistently great. Prices are reasonable and portions are great.

All around this is my family's favorite lunch spot.

Stopped in to try the Maurice salad on Friday evening. It was great! Had a relaxing dinner at the bar and enjoyed the salad and drink! Great service and atmosphere. I

We got stuck in town during a storm at 9PM, and couldn’t take our boat back. We stopped at The Happy Troll to see if we could wait there for awhile until our friends came for us. The owner was SO nice!!! We bought delicious cookies and coffee and she let us sit inside and stay dry for over an hour until our ride arrived, even though they were closing. Baked goods all looked marvelous but the kindness of the owner also made us fans for life!

This is one of my favorite places in northern Michigan to eat. It used to be Scovies but was bought by some new owners who kept the same menu and all of the staff that wanted to stay. They treat their workers like family as well as their guests / patrons. I was waited on today by a nice young lady named Sharon. Sharon went out of her way to explain the menu and help me with my order. The best part being that Lisa the front of house manager checked with me to see if there was anything else she could do for me or any other questions I would like answered. Such an amazing experience that totally made my night.

Have to laugh at people complaining about a $13 burger. The burgers and everything is great.
We live in Traverse City. You can’t find a $13 burger unless you go to a fast food place. When you eat out in a resort area where help is hard to find, you pay the price.
The food and service here are GREAT! We drive up for the scenery,boating and lunch here!

Great views and great food. Good vegetarian options as well as great grub for us carnivores.

I enjoyed a wonderful salad here a couple weeks ago. Our service was great and the atmosphere was really nice. I would love to stop back in to try other menu items!

Lovely place by the bridge in Charlevoix. Had an awesome brue and turkey panini with caramelized onions. Super!
They also made a great negroni.
We had a wonderful server ,Abby, filled us in on all the good stuff, made great recommendations.
Oh yeah. The BLT is huge!!

If you’re panicked like I was, about Scovie’s being gone, you’ll be glad to know that while ownership has changed, it’s still the same delicious food you’ve loved for years. We always stop for their Northern Michigan Chicken Salad, but they also have many other delicious choices. ❤

1/2 sandwich and soup combo was very filling and delicious. Hailey did a nice job.

We will definitely be back. Everything was good. And decent prices.
