This is a must to stop in and see. It’s absolutely insane the work that went into this canal system back in the day. Plenty of parking right off the road with picnic tables.

Really cool series of old Black River Canal locks in fantastic condition at a roadside park in the median of the highway. Quick but neat stop.

A unique stop through history here at the black river canal locks. Picturing the boats going through these channels is absolutely fascinating. Only wishing there were a sidewalk through the center, to get the full mass of its construction.
