Chocolate Cafe

The Chocolate Cafe is fantastic! The products are of the highest quality, the service was excellent and the atmosphere is welcoming. There is a small Chocolate Museum inside that is informative and fun. They offer a nice selection of chocolates, ice cream and beverages.

We always went to DJs ice cream! But since they closed down, we tried this place. I'm not sure why it doesn't have more stars.... The ice cream was to DIE for. I got unicorn dream and cotton candy!!! Delicious. .my son got a piece of cheesecake , and my husband got the 12 layer chocolate cake! So good. Atta helped us and he was awesome. It was super busy, so be patient with the workers. Portions are huge! Prices are "cheapish" for the Island. Will definitely be returning here. .

The perfect place on the island to get hot or cold chocolate beverages. The ice creams and drinks were both pretty good.
The place was moderately crowded when we arrived there at 11 am on a Sunday. However, the service was quick and I'll be sure to give them a visit every time I go back on the island.

Wonderful German Chocolate. Had a history of chocolate with plenty of candy, chocolate, popcorn, ice cream, fudge, cake..EVERYTHING chocolate. Definitely a must go for yourself and great place to grab gifts to bring home. Also had seating outdoors with a small germen hot food restaurant where we sat and ate amazing ice cream. The popcorn was "the best caramel popcorn" the person i brought it to had ever had. The décor of the museum was very cool with a great history of chocolate. My friends all enjoyed their ice cream very much. We did not try the hot food outside at the Biergarton which is attached to the museum but not part of it.

Museum area was far smaller than I was thinking, but super cute! The coffee and chocolates were great too. Fun location beside beer garden!

If you skip the Chocolate Cafe when on Put in Bay island you've cheated yourself. Various Chocolates and others from Chocolate fudge to walnut maple fudge. Plus other Chocolate treats.

Such a neat place!! My favorite part was watching the girl (barista) at the counter, work. Britain (I asked for her name), was the sweetest, most helpful person I’ve ever had wait on me.

I loved the variety of the place, the atmosphere outside, everything. The museum was neat, and everyone was just happy to be there.

It’s a walk, so I would suggest using a golf cart, but it’s worth it!!

This is in the bottom level of Frogs and Whiskey.
My husband and I walked up from town. The chocolate was delicious, the cheesecake was amazing. Also had a sundae with a scope of ice cream of your choice and a shot of espresso over it, it was the best!

Best place on the island for breakfast and coffee! Hot chocolate to die for. Mocha Frappe is decadent. Right next to GOAT, a quick ride from downtown.

Very cute shop with many options of sweets, ice creams, coffees, and souvenirs. Loved the beer garden outside too! By far the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had! Will return every time we visit Put-In-Bay!

Breakfast was nice the croissants were fresh and the chai latte was Starbucks worthy.

Go!! Get ice cream, chocolate and t-shirts! Watch, "I Love Lucy" while her & Ethel work the chocolate factory assembly line! It's a fun place to visit!

Great ice-cream, coffee, and sweet treats. Part of a larger complex with aBiergarten and an upstairs restaurant. Plenty of outdoor seating.

The staff was very friendly and prompt to help. Neat place, lots of delectables to choose from for ANY level chocaholic, and the museum displays were really cool to see! Turtle sundae was amazing, and Tofts is delicious icecream. Will definitely return!

Stayed 3 days on island and went to this cafe all three days! Amazing place to have breakfast! Especially the hot chocolate and Bagel.... must try!! Beautiful cafe! Very friendly staff! IMO, one of the best place on the island!

Please note that this cafe is SEASONAL and only open during the warmer months. Their sign wasn't kidding when it said "World's Best Hot Chocolate". We watched as the spooned warm, melted milk chocolate into our cups and then added steamed milk. It was a cooler, rainy day and that hot chocolate was perfect to warm us up! Most in-store hot chocolate tastes watered down, but this was delicious! The malted milk balls were by far the best we've ever tasted. The company that runs the cafe is the South Bend Chocolate Company out of South Bend, Indiana. They have numerous cafes in Indiana and their website has online ordering.

Had coffee and breakfast here on a busy holiday weekend. The owner was WONDERFUL. Friendly service, helpful, patient staff and delicious coffee. Perfect place to start the day. Cheers!

Excellent service, poor ladies were professional but very understaffed. Great museum and chocolate with ice cream. Excellent beer garden outside as well which also caters to lunch or German pub food.
