Everything is made from scratch (except the onion rings, which are still darn good). Heidi is an absolute gem of a server/bartender. Prices for drinks are reasonable. Food prices are a touch on the high end, but since it's a scratch kitchen, it's well worth a few extra bucks. We definitely will be back!

An unexpected find in Old Town Scottsdale when looking for a late evening eatery. It's bar food, but not your typical bar food - it's much, much better. Varied and creative choices served in a cozy atmosphere. Well worth a stop at this hole-in-the wall eatery.

My new favorite! Karsen’s atmosphere & food are incredible. Rocky, Wick & Heidi make it all even better! I’m still thinking about the Mushroom Noir burger and sweet fries two days later. I will definitely be stopping in every time I’m in town.

It's been about 4 years since my last visit. Still great food, great atmosphere, and getting to meet Rocky and Chris. We are definitely coming back. Sadly, the food looked too good and didn't get a picture, but it was amazing. It's definitely a good place to hang out and get some chow. Thanks.

We had the most fun at Karsen’s grill! The bartenders were great and made us laugh so much! We really felt welcomed here! The food was incredible as well! You’ve got to check it out if you’re in the area!(:

Absolute gem of a find, do not hesitate to go. Food, drinks, service all impeccable. Cannot recommend highly enough. The guys that own/run the place really offer a great service, you can see how much pride and passion they have for the place. Portion sizes were big, great value for money, drink selection large.

Tacos here are delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Great variety of side choices too; the garden salad and potato salad were excellent. Service was top notch; both fast and friendly. It's a small restaurant but comfy with a fun atmosphere.

This is a must go to for most of its menu. My favorite or the jalapeño cheese, curds and the salt and pepper chicken wings fried pickles, their french fries, all the way to their French dip sandwich. Their chicken wings are very good size and their salad is enough to feed two people. Great small intimate setting for a bar and grill. The food is amazing. The service is amazing.

This is an intimate, under the radar place with seating for about 25 people max. A classic neighborhood spot with excellent food and attentive service. The sandwiches are unique takes on the classics with generous portions. We’ve lived nearby for 8 yrs & this was our first visit. We will definitely be back!

This spot fits about 30 ppl at a time but if you have to wait it’s worth it! The bartenders are friendly and can make a good drink! The place is small enough that the food is made to order fresh and is very tasty! This spot is above anything with a big flashy name so stop by and have no regrets.

So glad I found this spot. Had an absolutely delicious lunch. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Great energy from the place too. Definitely a spot for regulars and newbies alike. Highly recommend

Good food, small place, two table outside….under a dozen inside. The bar had a lot of seats however. I felt it was a bit pricey, but the service was great. My friend’s burger looked delish. I already forgot what I got so I guess it didn’t stand out. My only disappointment was no to-go cups!

OMG.. with every bite OMG… You must come in and try this GEM in the heart of old town Scottsdale and don’t forget to say hi to SAM…

Went for a quick bite before catching our flight. Squeezed in right before happy hour and it was great. We both got the American burger and it had great flavor. The chips at homemade and the tots are seasoned well!

While I'm reluctant to share this gem, I must commend the restaurant. Grateful for always snagging a bar seat, I hesitate to spread the word, but this small local business deserves the recognition for its excellent food and inviting ambiance.

I've visited Karsen’s a handful of times and the consistently great food, inviting atmosphere, and friendly staff make it a standout experience every time.

Stopped in for lunch, and the bar is very intimate, but the staff and food were excellent!
Had the Jalapeño Club, Spectacular, and the Dip. Also ordered a side adobo Chipotle ability that was amazing.

We stopped in there for something to eat late on a Saturday night. We had an amazing server. It’s so cozy in there. The food is wonderful. Does service is fantastic. I love their onion rings. The best I’ve ever had!

If you are anywhere need this place YOU HAVE TO COME! We stumbled upon it after viewing the gardens and will be will back every time we are in town. The bartender was also our server and he alone would be a perfect reason to come back. He was hilarious, joking with my husband and I like we were locals. The food was AMAZING. Can not recommend it enough. We are from Michigan and can’t wait to visit again soon.

Incredible! hands down some of the best food we’ve had in Scottsdale! The chicken pot pie soup was to die for. The service was amazing, Michal Anne was so kind and so fast! We will absolutely be back (likely tonight)

Staying in Old Town Scottsdale, we wanted to find a good place for dinner that the locals recommend. We stopped to have a drink at Rusty Spur and asked the bartender and security guy where they would eat. Unanimous. Karsen's is the spot they both suggested and we were so grateful they did. Walking in to the restaurant, our server greeted us with a genuine smile and was super nice. Our appetizer, the Jalapeno cheese curds should have their own food group; they were so good. Homemade ranch to dip them in was the bomb. I had an amazing shrimp salad with pickled jalapenos and goat cheese and my husband had a Philly sub, made with Delmonico steak! Fries were some of the best we've ever had. The other customers were friendly too. If you haven't been here, you're missing out.
