Laz's Cuban Cafe - Fort Wayne

I can't get over how amazing this place is! The food was incredible, the staff were so friendly, the atmosphere was perfect! I spoke with Velma who runs the restaurant and she was born in Cuba and raised on this food. They used a bunch of Laz's grandmother's recipes even! So you are getting at authentic as you can get Cuban food AND coffee! I tried for my first time the authentic Cuban sandwich and it was perfect! I tried the yuca fries and they were so good! I've never tried those before but I will definitely get them again. I need to try the sweet fried plantains next time though because Velma said it's her favorite. I also got a shot of the Cuban coffee and it was so perfectly smooth and sweet and delicious! I can't say enough food things about this restaurant! You have to give it a try! I will definitely be back!

The place itself is super cute, everyone is so friendly and the food is amazing! We always get Cubans, a beef potato ball and the sauce that comes with it is delicious! We come here every few weeks

Overall, everything and I do mean everything was amazing. kudos to management and staff. My only criticism is the price. A meal with a drink is going to costume around 20. if you’re With a friend, plan on dropping 60. Here is a good idea, on Mondays and Wednesdays. They have two sandwiches for 20 bucks. I will definitely come back again, but sad to say it will only be on Mondays and Wednesdays. I just wanted to say it was a real treat to have their food. Everything and I do mean everything was amazing. :-)

If you love Cuban food & decor, this is the absolute best place to be! The ladies behind the counter were extremely helpful and extremely upbeat. We ordered a whole bunch of food and loved all of it. Even the bathrooms are a sight to see.

Laz's def fills the void left when Caliente closed. Their Cuban sandwiches are really good, but the loaded Cuban is fantastic! One of the best sandwiches in town. Love the empanadas, too!

The food here was really good, especially the sweet plantains and the Cuban sandwich. The service is great. The restaurant itself is nicely appointed and vibrant. I love the bathroom. The pictures were aesthetically pleasing. Nice 2 ply toilet paper as well.

By FAR top 5 places to eat at in Fort Wayne!! Definitely the BEST Coffee!
My favorite is La Bombon. Sides of maduros, yucca fries, or empanadas are all delicious and made fresh daily.

Great experience from the moment we stepped in. The cafe has such a lovely atmosphere. I didn’t get a chance to try the pastry offerings but they looked beautifully crafted. The staff was friendly and helpful and the owners made sure our experience was top notch. We enjoyed our sandwiches, but my personal favorite was the yucca fries with the garlic cilantro sauce. Talk about a flavor punch! I can’t wait to come back and try more of their offerings. I have my eye on the empanadas next.

First visit. Attendants behind the counter were incredible hosts. Very friendly and helpful. The place is spotless and colorful. I thought I’d eat a light lunch but the Cubano Salad was a full meal. Lot of tender chopped pork, ham, Swiss and pickles on a bed of crispy lettuce. It came with two small pieces of a fried flatbread that was out of this world. Washed it down with a can of Pineapple Soda. I’ll be back. A lot.

The food is delicious. There's lots of space. It's perfect for a meeting of 2 or 4. They are open take early for breakfast and they serve breakfast all day. They have a "family room" area that was super cute. They have a beautiful mural on the wall. It's a unique place to try. Would come back. Passes the vibe check.

What a fantastic find this has been!! Recently moved to Fort Wayne and we are thrilled to have discovered an amazing cuban restaurant. The staff is great, they always have a smile and great recommendations! The food is sooooooo good. We ordered several different dishes to try....we ended upbeating everything and not taking any home.....amazing!! This is definitely our go to for a great lunch or dinner out!!

Best place I have ever ate in Ft Wayne. Well worth the money and the time to come visit this lovely place. They also have espresso, which just adds to the Cuban experience. Very well maintained and very friendly staff. Not ever busy and very quick turnaround to get your food. 100/10 would recommend 👌!

This is one of my boyfriend and I’s favorite places in the whole NE area of Indiana. If you want seriously good food every single time, and actually get your money’s worth, Laz’s is easily top 3 in Fort Wayne. If you think this place is anything less than 4 stars I have bad new for you, you need to get your tastebuds checked. The staff are so, so awesome. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place and will happily continue to give my service and hope Laz’s stays around here for as long as possible ♥🥺

I got the Cuban sandwich and rice & black beans. Everything was fresh, delicious, and so flavorful. The service was great! The lady was so friendly. I will definitely be back to try more soon!

Friendly service very patient with us and the woman took her time to explain the choices to us since it was our first time here. The items we tried were delicious including the Papa rellena, cuban sandwich, chicken Empanada, and the bonbon coffee! Looking forward to going again soon.

Great new restaurant in NW for wayne! They have some authentic Cuban food with amazing coffee. They really did a nice job building it out.

There is a larger semi private room out front for events or general seating.

We had the empanadas with their signature garlic/cilantro sauce. Yum!!! Had the Frita shown in the picture. Takes about 20 mins to make but it’s great. Huge portion so might need to share!

The food is really good. I love trying food from different cultures and this is definitely a good place for the adventurous types. The coffee is incredible. Puts Starbucks to shame.

I went tonight to first time to check this Cuban place and I must admit that I had tears in my eyes. Every single detail reminded me of my precious Cuba; the food , frames , music, the Cuban paintings on the walls and the little Cuban flags in the papas rellenas. Cuban coffee makers as napkins holders :) I guess I didn’t know how much I miss Cuba. I give this place 5 stars not because I am Cuban , but because the food was amazing and the service was very good. Only wish they had a Cuban employee at the front with whom customers could interact in Spanish and have some kind of conversation about Cuba, its culture and food offering customers the ultimate Cuban experience!

Laz's Is a Wonderful Restaurant!
I recently placed a relatively complicated take-out order for 7 people during their busy lunch hour. They accurately prepared, boxed and labeled each meal exactly, according to my request, and had it ready BEFORE the estimated time. The Team loved the food and appreciated everything coming out correctly (not always common, as I make a lot of these types of orders). The venue is beautiful and the staff was amazing to deal with as they provided world class service. They are now on our regulars list!

The food, service and the employees were top tier! I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door but not only the employees but also the owner. Everyone was super nice and answered any questions I had about the menu. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone! I will be going back!
