Love Café

Stopped after yoga at Lotus Dragon. It was perfect followup. The love bowls are delicious and healthy. Got a latte that is so tasty. The place is cast with spell of love. There were others who were first timers along with regulars. And you just start chatting with people and suddenly it like you know everyone for years. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience today! We camp at Kerr lake a couple times a year and this is the second time coming to Love Cafe! We arrived 8 minutes before closing and I was SURE they would turn us away- I wouldn’t have blamed them, but Morgan said “let’s go”!!! And whipped up a delicious bowl for my husband and veggie wrap for me! Great customer service, great atmosphere (inside and out) and great food!

Can’t wait to come back!

I ordered one of their oatmeal bowls - with bananas, blueberries, granola, honey, in almond milk. Yes, it was delicious but that’s not what I will remember about this place in South Hill, VA, population 4,600.

The young woman behind the counter, after handing me a menu, immediately started telling me about her beagle, currently being treated for a horrible sounding infection (parvo). Happily, her vet says her dog should make a complete recovery.

As she finished assembling my oatmeal the door opened and she said, “Morning, Mickey” to the new guest. She turned back to me and said, “Mickey always gets that,” nodding at my bowl.
They started exchanging news the way casual friends do. Pat said she thinks she has strep. Andy hurt his back and will miss a few days of work. That kind of thing.

After I had had a few minutes with my oatmeal, Mickey, sitting two tables over, asked where I was from. I told him Minnesota. He asked about the weather there. We compared summer highs and winter lows. I remarked to him how green everything I had seen in South Hill was. Endless tall trees. Mickey said he grew up on a farm here so it was pretty natural to him, but he was always grateful for it. One of his oak trees, he said, had recently been certified as the 3rd oldest tree in Virginia, between 275 and 375 years old. We both wondered about who was here then and what they were doing.

It occurs to me that I, one of the least sociable people there is, was effortlessly coaxed into chatting for 30 minutes with two people I’d never met and will never see again, and enjoyed every minute of it.

Love Cafe gets everything right! The sweet attentive people who work there made my friend and I feel welcome right away. The food is yummy and there are many healthy choices. Music playing rocked and we could eat outside and enjoy the beautiful day. Thank you so much for being an oasis of love off of Highway 85 Love Cafe!

This is a great place for anyone who wants healthy delicious food! It is a little pricey but considering the economy and the fact that they are using fresh ingredients, it makes sense. I got a delicious breakfast wrap with eggs, Spinach, feta and cherry tomatoes while my daughter had an açaí, blueberry, strawberry, banana bowl plus we shared a protein shake. It came to $28 plus tax. Still, it was very filling and I believe worth it since I felt full on our long drive home plus I didn't suffer like I would have if I had some quick fast food glop.

The staff was friendly and sweet plus the owner was there and she was nice as well. It is an open concept so, if inside, you can easily hear conversations of others. I didn't mind as staff was also fun loving and sweet towards each other which was adorable. I have been in similar situations and to hear employees and owners talking disrespectfully to each other makes the experience terrible. Five stars for your staff and their hearts❣

I loved that they had an easy to understand menu which clearly guided anyone who was eating Gluten Free, Keto, Vegan or Vegetarian. Also, breakfast is served all day so even though it was already afternoon, I had a breakfast wrap. Great options!

I ordered three "drinks" and two other food items online to pick up. The food was ready 15 mins earlier than stated, text message let me know. The service and hospitality was out of the world great. I have found my new lunch spot for sure.

Great fresh food! The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Even when I turned my custom bowl into more of a salad. Will definitely stop by again if I travel through the area.

We stopped by here while visiting from Atlanta. The service was spectacular, the Waitress was so kind and sweet!!
Loved the cozy covered outdoor seating , but the inside was beautifully nostalgic with all the family photos.
We got the steak and egg breakfast burrito (absolutely packed with eggs and steak) and a turkey and avocado english muffin, they were delicious and the perfect healthy alternative for the fast food options in the area.

The loaded potato soup was hot and tasty; my husband’s bowl was delicious. Hurray for Love’s Cafe!

folks here are very welcoming, they have delicious coffee (the ONLY place I know which has cold-brew decaf!) - excellent bowls and granola. Several varieties of smoothies. Will definitely come back!

I've been here a few times and the food is very good, only giving 4 stars bc of my most recent visit where I found plastic in my bowl.

Update: It didn't notify me that the owner had responded, but we ordered breakfast this morning and she was super friendly and refunded the order, and as usual the bowl from yesterday and this mornings overnight oats and iced chai were delicious! Thank you!

Super delicious, and VERY accomodating of all kinds of dietary restrictions.

Came in off 85 for a quick lunch and could not have chosen better. Love Cafe's selection of bowls is wide ranging and allows for personalization if you choose. We got the Victoria -- chicken, quinoa and a whole bunch of tasty fresh veggies complimented with a Korean BBQ sauce and Sriracha mayo. Excellent, and healthy. The iced cold brew was also good. Quick service and personable staff.

I visited last Friday, along with my Dad and his friend. My Sister In Law is one of the owners and they have done a fantastic job with this business! From the atmosphere to the food to the service, all on point and top notch! I had the Victoria Bowl and it was amazing, plus it was so big that it was three meals for me! Great place, and great things to come! I 100% recommend!

I found this little gem while taking a break from the road. If you're ever in this area do yourself a favor and stop in for coffee or a meal. Not only is the atmosphere amazing so are the people inside including the owner Victoria, who was Hands-On and a pleasure to chat with. I had a grilled cheese and red pepper soup along with a caramel macchiato. That is the best red pepper soup I've ever had and I wanted to turn the bowl up while I was there and just drink it but decided to be a little more proper and use the spoon they gave me. My coffee was perfect as well. I highly recommend. I am so looking forward to my next time through this area so that I can stop in and try yet another delicious dish. Kudos Victoria and team looking forward to my next visit!

Wonderful atmosphere, True to it's name! The smoothies are creamy and delicious. The Love bowls are PACKED full of fresh veggies and pure protein; the flavor combinations are out of this world! The best part of this establishment: the people who are authentic, helpful and Kind. If you are looking for healthy, delicious food and good vibes....THIS is the place for you.
