Miss Cheese Tea Cafe

This place is a little gem. Don't expect quick food but it's worth the wait. We got the popcorn chicken, the crispy cheesey waffle and the Taiyaki with taro and red bean. The popcorn chicken was good, and very filling, although it isn't anything exactly special. The crispy waffle was interesting, starts off as strange and ends up where you want more. Its rice cooked with cheese in a waffle iron. The texture takes a few bites to get used to (starts off seeming like uncooked riced and cheese) but once you get used to the poppy crunches its very good. The taiyaki is exactly like all the other fish waffles out there. We recommend the taro over the red bean.

1st time newbies. The guy was so nice & patient w/us. Answered our questions; offered suggestions; on top of that, gave us portion-sized samples @ no charge ( without us asking for it). The latter was the 3rd time for me, in my 59 yrs of being in the US. He's a treasure for business. 👍
Everything was in generous portions. And so yummy. A worthwhile trek from Huntington Beach & back. Will certainly do it again.

I was accidentally in the area and was too curious not to try! All I can say is...WoW, what a fluff!!!
Souffles are amazing and delicious! I also had a tea. There is a Minnie pool table and a few games around as well as the book shelf. This place is amazing! Good job Miss Cheese!

i got the strawberry sunset 🍓🌅 and it tasted so ✨astronomical✨, words can’t describe how much the yogurt complimented the strawberry smoothie. i always see this place when i go on drives contemplating life and hesitated on going because it’s called “miss cheese” and i hate cheese😤! not a bad place, they have miniature pool table that my friend and i sucked at but nonetheless we had fun. ☺would def comeback for that strawberry sunset. a little pricey tho? 🤨i did see somewhere in the reviews the owner say that it’s because employees get payed more that $20 but they seemed mid😔. cute place tho!🤍

Nice little cafe with friendly staff.
The popcorn chicken was very good. The soufflé pancake was also good and very moist. Portions are big so it’s good to share. Got the taro milk tea with 50% sweet and it was just perfect, not overly sweet.
This cafe have classic video games or you can play board or card games. There’s also books. There’s parking but is 30 minutes.

Cute little shop specializing in snacks and milk teas! There’s a few outdoor tables and plenty of indoor seating. Tried their Ceylon with cheese foam and it was pretty good but on the pricey side. Overall not a bad choice for the area.

It’s a very cute cafe. We were able to park on the street. There was quite a bit of seating inside and outside. The staff, Denise and Alexis, were friendly and attentive.

We tried the Japanese soufflé pancakes, the mango and the Nutella flavor. I had preordered online so that the pancakes were already being made by Alexis when we arrived. There were lots of activities when we were there including a mini pool table, games and books.

The soufflé pancakes were very light and airy and perfectly prepared. The drinks we ordered, matcha red bean and boba milk tea were also good.

I've come here every 6 months or so, the owner is always reinventing the cafe to make it better. I find it is a great place to hold meetings.

I love it here, this cafe is truly amazing!! The soufflé pancakes have a wonderful, fluffy texture and the fruits are very fresh. The popcorn chicken is seasoned so well.
I definitely recommend this trying cafe.

I'm in town for the Rose Bowl (Go Blue!), and I enjoyed a delightfully fluffy and jiggly Lava Cake Souffle with green tea ice cream topped with cheese foam and some creme brule on the side. I requested a happy face on the souffle, and they flawlessly executed that request, also.

There are plenty of fun little games to play while you wait. I had a non-competitive shot at pool and then some air hockey.

5 stars. Would come again for sure.

The matcha pancakes were delicious, fluffy and melted in your mouth. The Hokkaido Milk Tea was smooth and I added boba to it. It does take some time for them to make the pancakes, but it is worth the wait!

This is my go-to boba spot. The boba flavor reminds me so much of when I was in Japan, so it’s very nostalgic for me. They have tons of boba and fruit tea options that allow you to customize the sweetness, which is nice. And I always add Taiyaki with custard filling whenever I go, it just hits the spot ❤

We ordered delivery at night and it came like this. It was perfect and everything tasted amazing. The pancakes were fluffy and the sides and toppings are yummy.

Quiet place with a simple and clean interior. The souffle pancakes are as good as advertised. A nice selection of unique teas and coffee. Pancakes do take 25 mins so if you are in a rush I'd call in your order.

As fluffy and delicious as expected! It's like covering your tongue in a cozy blanket; definitely worth a 45min wait for those thick, fluffy souffles that dissolve in your mouth. Ordered the Oreo Crepe, Custard Taiyaki, Nutella Taiyaki, Original Souffle, Nutella Souffle and hot Sea Salt Caramel Coffee (less sweer). The crepes were way better than expected, like 12 layers of paper thin crepes and fluffy light creme in between that cuts through like butter. The souffles are amazing, a fluffy dream, they just dissolve and have a delicious egg and butter flavor, cream on top is delicious. The Sea salt caramel coffee washed everything down warm and smooth. It had thick foam, delicious flavor and not too sweet. The place itself is very cute, tall ceiling and nice interior design, clean with about 10 or so seating tables and a bathroom. It's located on the corner with street parking or a lot across the street. Guy at the counter was a little grumpy but I personally don't care; my experience there was awesome and I'll be back sometime for more

Checked out this place from San Francisco after so many recommendations from my friends in LA.

My husband ordered peach oolong with cheese topping and pudding. He loved the peach flavor from the tea and the slightly salty cheese flavor. I had a grapefruit green tea with 30% sugar. I tried this beverages in multiple place and this one is pretty much the best I ever had. I actually get a lot of fresh grapefruit (not from canned grapefruit, and not just one thin slice for the appearance).

We also tried their soufflé pancake with Nutella. (Which takes ~10 minutes to prepare, but you can call in ahead of time to skip the wait) This is my first time trying any of the popular Japanese pancakes and they are gorgeous. The pancakes are fluffy and light as I expected, and the sweetness is just right.

Overall we had a great time stopping by Miss Cheese it is a very nice sweet spot to check out in LA.

I was EXTREMELY satisfied with the overall presentation and flavor of my milk tea. This is a cute place. There is free parking in the back as well as street parking on the Arroyo Prkwy side. I like that you can adjust your level of sweetness (No sugar, 25%, 50%, 75%, regular, extra) as well as level of ice (no ice, less, regular, extra). Boba was fresh and to the perfect texture. Plus, the bottom of our cups were warm which from what I’m told, indicates freshness of boba. I did happen to show up during their peak hour but service was quick. There was about 5 people ahead of us and we waited less than 7 minutes. Place was clean and although it was busy we still had somewhere to sit. It is walking distance to Old Town, about two blocks and the Del Mar Metro station, about one block away.

I love this cafe! All the food I’ve had is great; the tea is great. I wish I could eat soufflé pancakes and popcorn chicken every day.

Legit freshly made souffle pancakes! We tried the lava flow souffle, strawberry cloud and nutella boba flow. Will definitely return to try other flavors!

I wish I had visited this cafe sooner! We will definitely be back again. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and inviting setting, drinks were great, and food was delicious. Nothing to fault here.
