Beech Tree Cafe

I was in the area and decided that I was gonna go to Dave’s Dream and get a nice dessert. But as I glanced over to my left I noticed a sign that read “Best donuts ever!”

So I decided to take a detour and see what it was all about.

I walked inside to discover a clean, well staffed and eclectic eatery that I had never noticed before. Now the donut offerings were what I stopped for, but I soon found out that they have a great menu including a variety of items.

They also serve specialty coffee.

So I ordered half a dozen donuts and a house blend coffee at a price that simply can’t be beaten in this economy.

…..Even more so because the high quality donuts are made and baked in house fresh EVERY SINGLE DAY!

For the price, effort and quality that goes into the production of a Beech Tree Cafe donut, I can solidly place these guys way ahead of any national donut chain.

…..You simply can’t do better than going local with these guys!

The donuts I ate were tasty, fresh and well worth the price. The staff was friendly and knew their craft well. The regular clientele were, obviously, satisfied……..this with a frequent patron singing their praises to me while I was still in line.

But I found that everything told to me by this patron was absolutely correct. So I will be back to try some of their other local and fresh offerings.

And, truth be told , I have found that Hollidaysburg is a special place that respects its historical roots, architecture and style. Truly, when crossing over into this place on a drive, one can feel a change of principality, power and spirit.

This positive spirit extends to the cuisine and eateries found in this locale. And the Beech Tree Cafe is a sterling example of the local food excellence that exists here that you will not be disappointed with.

Delicious coffee and donut shop with a variety of breakfast and lunch options as well. Beautifully decorated and kept well clean. Plenty of table space and fast WiFi for work from home employees and college students to get work done! The employees are all super nice and helpful.

I recommend the peppermint mocha latte or the vanilla latte.

L—O-V-E it! Such a great new addition to the area. The space encompass what once used to be donut connection and subway and is now spacious, comfortably decorated and accessible. The menu is great (I enjoyed the Brie and berry toast) and the coffee is of great quality. Prices are reasonable and parking is available.

Ok....SO I HAVE AN ADDICTION TO FRENCH VANILLA ICED LATTES NOW!!!! ohhhhh wowwww are they AMAZING at Beech Tree Cafe!!! My husband even LOVES their Frozen Carmel Frappes!!! The special donuts are so cute and are so tasty! 😋 Stopped 7 days in a row now and I'm pretty sure I have a new favorite place!! Staff is amazing, nice, and always smiling. So thankful for small town business! ❤ It is very clean and the atmosphere is so calming!

I highly recommend checking this place out. While I only ordered a doughnut from here, they are priced reasonably to the size of the doughnuts. They have various kinds of doughnuts which all seem quite appetizing, however if doughnuts are not your thing, they have a wide selection of other breakfast items to choose from. This place has an interesting theme as well, a modern European breakfast shope.

I love going to Beechtree. Everyone there is always so nice. It’s a great place to go to just relax with friends or to take along my computer and get some work done. Everything I have gotten to eat there has been super yummy and their coffees are delicious as well! Highly recommend this place!

Very doughy donuts & excellent iced mocha latte!

I'm gonna preface my review by saying we LOVED Donut Connection. I was apprehensive about the change in ownership and product. New ownership has done excellent! That building got the TLC it needed for years and a facelift was thrown in for good measure. Coffee, donuts and food are exceptional! Service usually outstanding. Beech Tree is exactly what Hollidaysburg needed. Stellar job! I stop a few times a week, more regularly than I visited with prior ownership. I love to drive by and see a line out the door or a full drive thru. Thank you!

The Sunnyside Bagel was delicious. I frequently put tomatoes and greens on my breakfast sandwiches and they did it perfectly.
The atmosphere inside is adorable and I love how all of the pieces blend together.

My new favorite place! Everyone is so kind and welcoming. Not to mention their food is amazing, along with the coffee and donuts. Would definitely recommend!

A great coffee shop! I pop in here to study. I ordered a drink recently and accidentally dropped it at the counter. They kindly remade it for me at no additional charge. Great service. A good atmosphere, though a little bit too open for my liking. I usually prefer a more private nook to work, but it is a nice place to study either way. Great view of the trains and mountains behind. Their doughnuts are excellent. Coffee is very good. I'll be in again for sure.

Great coffee, fresh food, and a cozy atmosphere to spend a winter weekend morning. They have added public wifi since the summer, making this an ideal cozy working spot.

We love coming here to dine in. The whole inside change is beautiful. I love the cinnamon raisin bagel sandwiches. Always fresh and delicious .

I have been coming to this location for many years before it became the new Beech Tree Cafe. Trudy is exceptional and everyone else who works there. Friendly and courteous and always with a smile. New coffee is good, atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Only thing I do not like are the new to go coffee cups!! They do not keep the coffee hot!!!! Suggestion: go back to the insulated ones. Glad they are offering more food options, which is well overdue!

Had a croissant breakfast sandwich with sausage and avacado.... amazing. Coffee was delicious and service was awesome. Will be back!!❤

very lovely place. everyone was polite and helpful and the food was delicious. great place to study for a few hours. unfortunately no hot chocolate, but everything else made up for it
