Bak A Yaad Cuisine

We took a chance and ordered 4 meals by Uber eats to try Bak a Yaad. I am picky with my restaurants and stick to our regular Island spots. I read the reviews and decided to give it a chance. The food was delicious and plentiful, We ordered a large Jerk chicken and large fried chicken with rice and peas and vegetables . The flavor was delicious, not too spicy on jerk. The fried was great. The curry chicken was tender and nuff flavor, not spicy. The stew chicken had a great color. We will definitely order again. The chef does amazing dishes. Keep it up!

We ordered curry goat and it was so tender and delicious with white rice and vegetable. The goat was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of spice.
We also had to order the tender oxtail with rice and peas again. This was an excellent dinner especially with ice cold red stripes to celebrate 🇯🇲 independence.

Fantastic Mexican meal at an extremely affordable price. The food is of a higher caliber and tastes better than any other local Caribbean restaurant. The personnel is attentive and kind. Try the $5 lunch specials they provide. There will be plenty of food left over for dinner because the lunch special servings are more than enough. It's worth it to eat fried chicken, curry chicken, brown stew chicken, etc.

Amazing! Love the lunch menu deals and the staff are always on top. Beware, lines do get longer when it's nightime, so try ordering ahead on the phone! Their food is delicious!They also have a bar and regular dining seats if you wish to be seated during your wait :)

The owner and her husband were very accommodating for my party of 5. They gave us the real Jamaican experience. The food was AMAZING and we had one of almost everything on the menu. The servers were also friendly which made the experience even better.

Try their $5 lunch specials. The Lunch Special portions are more than ample, and you'll have enough leftover for dinner. Fried chicken, curry chicken, brown stew chicken, etc, all worth it.

Amaazing food! The whole experience and energy is great the staff is always so friendly and kind. The food can’t get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get Jamaican food. Especially "Faith Pen Friday’s" don’t miss out you get all the traditional Jamaican food breadfruit, roast yam & salt fish, mackerel rundung, ackee & corn pork this list goes on.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool, Food is pretty good, great music and plenty of Jamaican classic dishes. I had a couple of cold beers with fried chicken.

The curry chicken, lunch special and fried fish dinner was so delicious 😋. Will definitely go back there.

I'm writing this review as I'm experiencing the steam fish for the first time. OMG it's an explosion of flavor flavor and more flavor😋. It's BEST steam fish I've EVER had.😋 Shhh don't tell my parents.🤭🙈 You've got to experience this incredible dish. I recommend calling in your order for this dish because it takes about 20 - 25 minutes to prepare and say yes to adding bammy and crackers. Ask for Kadieann 😍when you call. She's sooo sweet, friendly and kind. So is the rest of the staff.❤

I've ordered from here many times. I've had their goat, fried chicken, ox tail and jerk chicken multiple times each! Always fresh, delicious and on point!

We had a repast for 50 people and the food that we got for the price could have served 70 people. The owner Miss Shivette was very gracious to us. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have a small function.

First time coming and the food was delicious great customer service. I will definitely come back again. The oxtail was so good and they put a great amount in the platen. I would recommend friends and family.

I had given up on Jamaican food because all of these places/restaurants (even the chain ones) pop up and the staff they have working for them have the worst attitudes. Here, you are entering to calm vibes/music or a pleasant greeting. They don't mind you asking questions about the food YOU are purchasing, will let you taste something if you have never tried it (DONT BE A JERK AND ASK TO SAMPLE SOMETHING YOUVE HAD, UGGGHH) and they don't mind explaining what's on the menu. ANNNDD MOST IMPORTANT, THEY DO NOT GET SNAPPY/SNIPPY WITH YOU WHEN YOU ASK FOR FRIGGIN GRAVY ON ANYTHING LOL. Keep up the great work : )

The server that severed my husband and I was a pregnant lady, she was patient, courteous, pleasant, and customer friendly when serving us. She smiled and let us felt really welcomed. The food presentation was on point. The food taste was excellent, REALLY JAMAICAN. I give the a THUMPS UP!
