From the many bookstores I have been to, this store is definitely up there on my list of awesome bookshops. Not only did it have a queer section of books for Pride Month (which I loved).
Note: They have queer books in general not just for Pride Month!

They also had a Children's section (which looked very cozy and cute), and a banned book section!
I especially loved the banned book section, you don't see that everywhere. So it was neat to see a bookshop selling those books that have been challenged by other people.

River Bookshop was clean and organized and it was amazing to go there!
And I hope I will be able to visit this store soon.

Rustic little bookshop. A great place for bookworms. Bring your wallet tho, its a little pricey.

What a beautiful bookstore, they offer such a large variety of items outside of books as well. Service was awesome, and it smells really good in there haha

Charming bookstore with an excellent selection of books and puzzles. There’s also a gorgeous little event space above called ‘The Hole in the Wall’ that hosts lots of fun and interesting events. The River Bookshop has gone a long way toward creating a welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere in beautiful downtown Amherstburg. We do a lot of socializing and gift shopping here!

Heard about this store on AM800 this week. I planned a trip to the large retail bookstore in our area but thought I'd stop in here first. So happy I did! The store is perfect and the customer service is fantastic. So glad to have you in the community. You're my new go to.

We were enticed inside on a Sunday evening by the promise of an array of jigsaw puzzles. We were not disappointed! We bought a limited edition Boblo puzzle for our collection. This is a well laid out and appealing book shop with a variety of books, games and puzzles for every taste and age. The employees were friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. I look forward to book hunting there soon.

My favourite bookstore. Offers a big selection of both classic books and more obscure gems, as well as puzzles, stationery, tea, and candles. Strives to be a community space, hosting events and always welcoming conversation.

From the minute you step through the doors you feel like family! Staff is amazing! Pet friendly! Even if you are just passing by, your fur baby can get a drink on a hot day from the bowl left on the step! This town needed River Bookshop! 💜 Thank you Richard for investing in our town! I would rate more than 5☆s if i could!

My sister house is a library, total book lover. She came down for a visit from Brampton and had purchased the Harry Potter Book set and Love you to The Moon and Back book set for my daughters. I had got lolly pops from them in the summer so let her know where I had seen a book store in Amherstburg as we are newer to the area as well. She loved it and so did the girls. We are trying to make it there now before they close. nice to find great new places for all of us. xoxo

Great little bookstore. I needed things to do for a week while on vacation and stopped there and got several great books and puzzles. They have all the top selling books in addition to other interesting titles. I love that they have things propped in the window so you can see what's available. They were extremely friendly and courteous.

Wow! Love this Bookshop! A very cool spot to visit, and looking forward to attending live and online events. What a great set up, and the second floor is a very warm, cozy, and inviting area for any bookworm.

Nice to see a bookstore in Amherstburg again. I saw a book on Facebook, ordered it online and by the time I got off of work it was ready for pickup. Nice looking store. Very cozy. I've yet to check out the interesting looking events they've held but look forward to doing so (with the exception of the sports related stuff. I get why there seem to be a lot of sport focused programming but it's just not my thing. Looks interesting if you're a sporting fan).
