Great little coffee place with a music theme. Very nice that it opens fairly easy too.

Got a fall pumpkin coffee and breakfast, service was very quick and the food was good as well.

While doing a book tour in the area I stayed at a hotel close to this coffee shop and it was so great I went there 3 out of the 4 mornings I was here.

The coffee and breakfasts were great, nice atmosphere great service.

My uncle was with me each time and we were able to sit for hours each morning to plan our days while enjoying their great coffee cup after cup - I really love this place and wish I had a coffee shop life this where I live. I will go back anytime I'm staying in downtown south bend.

I am not from Indiana but come to the area often, and have recently been checking out all local coffee shops.
This one is by far my favorite. The customer service was great and friendly. The atmosphere in the building and the overall theme was awesome. I am a huge connoisseur of coffee and have been to 20+ coffee shops and the coffee alone blew my mind and is very unique flavor wise, even if you get a basic flavor like white chocolate.

Best coffee in south bend as a resident of the city for 35 years. In addition, they have Wonderful business and great service. I asked them to open early for my daughters wedding so we could have their coffee early in the morning and they happily obliged. I would highly recommend to anyone!

Love coming to Java for my coffee! I can't wait to try their Peppermint Mocha and new baked goods. The staff is always nice, friendly and accommodating!

Now, this is some next level stuff right here. First the place is so cool. It's modern with a rock and roll vibe. The food is awesome. I'm partial to the eggs Benedict. The BOWL OF SOUL coffee is a must try. I get it every time.

Wonderful coffee shop in DTSB. The entire space is stunning and very inviting. Everyone was super nice and helpful and the coffee and baked goods were excellent. Will definitely be going back!

5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ doesn’t do justice to the level of service and quality of coffee and food served! Definitely has that atmosphere that not just invites you in but also welcomes you to hang out, and definitely to visit again! An absolute Awesome addition to South Bend!

Tried the cup of soul with one shot instead of 3! It was delicious!!! Very clean and great service. Definitely will be stopping in again soon!

Java is great. Centrally located, great place to work and meet colleagues. Friendly staff, big windows for sunlight. I enjoy introducing Java to others.

This place is really nice. There was one person working at the counter and she was doing an amazing job with people. The drinks we got were excellent. She even created something for my kiddo and he loved it.

They have a liquor license. Which I found interesting for what Google told me was a coffee shop so they have drinks that are more interesting than your regular place.

Stopped in with a coworker the other day who reccomended this place and it was absolutely great. I'm usually a boring regular coffee guy with cream and sugar but Alvin wasn't having any of that (in the best way) I said surprise me and he made me something so delicious I was blown away. Java cafe needs to protect Alvin at all costs, It has been a long time since I witnessed someone who genuinely enjoys what they do as much as he does. Coffee was *chef's kiss* but the customer service is what will probably bring me back

First time visiting. Alvin was too kind but served a great cup of coffee for my afternoon break. I also got a chocolate chip cookie, huge, soft and delicious. Great drink selection that beats Starbucks any day. Will be back when I need a coffee fix.
