Javalato Gelato & Cafe

We popped in for coffee while in the area, but noticed they sell some authentic looking gelato, which we of course HAD to try. It did not disappoint! The person working the counter was super helpful in our deciding which flavors to choose. Salted Caramel, Cookies & Cream & Chocolate Banana were 3 of the flavors we liked most! Nice atmosphere too.

Their Moon milk drink was SUPER delicious. It was very unique. French toast was pretty small, but tasty!

Super chill atmosphere with great food! I was surprised to see the breakfast menu had such a great variety. I thought this was just a coffee and tea place but it's so much more! It's not great if you need to have a private discussion but if you want to get together with friends this is perfect.

A hidden gem in the area with great food and coffee. The menu is large, and the food was delicious. I usually expect less than great food with large menus but they did not disappoint. Staff was beyond friendly, and were both happy and excited to talk about their coffees, teas, and menu items with us. Lots of gluten free items, and I believe a dedicated vegan menu is available too.

Didn’t get a chance to booze it up this morning, but I’ll be back for their happy hour (everyday from 4-8pm). They have a very impressive drink menu, which includes brunch drinks, boozy gelato drinks, and lots more. Looking forward to updating about their drinks.

I should have come here ages ago. My son and I try out a different coffee place every Saturday morning. This one is right near or local Target and favorite TexMex restaurant, Vaqueros.

My son says the cold brew is good, but he puts milk and sugar in it so that’s all it tastes like to me. :)

Today is the first time for me and my friend to visit this little bourgeois restaurant. We really like the decoration of the restaurant. The food is also super delicious and fresh. My friend is a vegetarian and she said it was the best vegetarian she had ever eaten. Their homemade Italian ice cream is made with all natural ingredients and tastes great!

This is way more than just a cafe!!! It is a such a cute and fun place, they have an extensive and eclectic menu, with fresh ingredients! Our breakfast was delicious and we can't wait to go back to try more things! Oh and we were impressed by their warm and welcoming service!
Update: we went again for an afternoon treat and tried the gelato.... it was soooo good!, you gotta try!!!

Amazing hidden gem of a place. This is not just gelato! It is a full service restaurant with a full bar and lots of vegan items. We have eaten here several times and it is all so very good. The lavender latte is lovely. The waffles sublime. Love the omelettes and the avacado toast as well. And, they have vegan gelato. Delightful dining.

Excellent food and a variety of menu options, from spins on the classics to fine dining. Incredible coffee, fries, food, and Italian gelato. Friendly staff, great ambience. I'm going to start bringing my laptop and writing while munching on food and gulping down the coffee!

Got here late tonight. (8:30 arrival for a 9:00 close). They were closing up shop. They informed us before we attempted to order. I asked if I could use the facilities anyway and they obliged. When I came out they offered to restart their espresso machine and the service and coffee are incredible!!! You don't find places like this that often. Definitely worth the business.

Selfishly, I don't want to share this one! Small, but oh my...the food? Amazingly fresh & tasty. Secret sauces! This is gonna be a regular for me. They're switching things up, adding new items. Can't wait to try them all.

The gelato was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised that they had four flavors that were dairy free. The place is much bigger inside than what you would expect from the exterior, and is very nicely decorated. I also appreciated how spotlessly clean it was. Will be back to try more on their impressively vast menu soon.

So many delicious options of gluten free, dairy free gelatos! It’s a cute place, with tons of charm, and they also sell cocktails and have happy hours daily!! They offer coffee any way you like it with delicious dairy free options like oat milk, almond milk and coconut milk. I had an iced coffee with Oat milk and a mint chocolate chip gelato. It’s a great vibe in there and highly recommend checking it out!

And you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, they have everything, there is no way that you go there and you don’t order,

I love the variety they have! They have a full breakfast and lunch/dinner menu with so many options, bubble tea, coffee, gelato, and even alcohol. My family and I got the fish sandwich, strawberry and raspberry stuffed french toast, lavender latte, and raspberry cheesecake frappe. Everything was delicious, and even though they were short-staffed, the service was excellent!

Hands down, the best place in Colorado Springs for breakfast. We had the Belgian waffles and the green chili hash. Absolutely mouthwatering delicious. Huge selection of made in house gelato. Can't wait to go back to try out the lunch and dinner options

Food is made fresh - their menu has shrunk a little since our first visit but is still yummy and a good variety. Coffee is excellent. Definitely recommend for a date lunch or group of friends.

This place is soooo cute! The entire shop is aesthetically pleasing. They have a lot of vegan icecream options that's not just sorbet 😍 there's also some vegan food menu items. The owner is super sweet and adorable. It was also really affordable, which was a pleasant surprise (only $4.85 for 3 large scoops!) Love that I don't have to drive all the way up to Denver for some good vegan food and love that they're open until 9! I feel like that is very rare for icecream shops. I can't wait to take all of my friends and family here the next time I visit!

Update: Tried their vegan burrito and it was bomb!

Walking into this place made me realize how nice a quaint and clean atmosphere makes a huge difference in perception. The background music and light modern decor brings an interesting charm and welcoming vibe that can not be duplicated.

We were greeted by the clerk who was happy to have my wife try many samples and was patient the entire time. Once we picked our flavors, we were shocked to realize that he was doing a 20% off special during this COVID time today. It was a great surprise and was a very nice gesture.

Overall, this place is quaint and fairly priced with wonderful staff and gelato. We will be back for dinner to try some of their other menu items. Great first impression!
