Moka & Co

This is so far my favorite Moka&co location. Absolutely stunning to have the finest coffee while sitting outside. I’m absolutely obsessed with the Caramel latte with almond milk and the saffron milk cake. I highly recommend every single pastry, they are define made with love. The drink menu is by far the most finest and sophisticated drinks in East Lansing area.

This lovely Yemeni coffee and tea shop has some delicious teas. We tried two different ones and they were both spectacular. The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable, helping explain the menu offerings to anyone who needs help deciding what to order. The variety of delicious options make deciding difficult, but definitely worth it. Stop by and enjoy this wonderful shop.

The most delicious pastries I’ve ever had! The workers help to explain the coffee and the menu, and were overall very nice. I’ll be coming back far too often!
Oh and the coffee was phenomenal as well- obviously.

The staff is always so friendly! If you aren't familiar with any of the drinks or sweets, they're happy to give suggestions or explain what each one means.

And the drinks and sweets are delicious! Not too sweet but you can still taste the sweetness. Have like each one I tried so far!

I have been twice to this place and I like it. They serve Arabic and Turkish coffee and tea, and they are good in doing it. I should mention that the coffee is made on an American style with Arabic flavors and spices. They were playing the songs of Fayrouz also and that was great. Highly recommended place to visit.

i LOVE their coffee! i’ve never had it before. i was walking around E Lansing/MSU and didn’t want the usual places so i decided to try this and i’m so glad i did. service was great, i think it’s family run, and the coffee was HOT! not tepid like most places. i had to let it cool down first. i got the mufuwar which is the first one on the menu. i guess it’s the cardamom that gives it the kick of flavor that has me becoming a devotee of this place. i can’t wait. to go back!

This place is lovely! They actually serve decaf drinks, which for serious health issues is important for me. And their pastries are to die for! I had cheesecake, but I think they also have savory pastries too. The staff is really helpful explaining things as well. My new favorite work spot!

Love the place, coffee and specially Basbousa. It is addictive.
Must try place on grand river and Free wifi makes it easier to work. will try to taste other items of the menu as well.

This place is beautiful first of all a lot of seating for any sized group. tried the pomegranate refresher and the rose milk cake it they were both delicious I’ve never had a pomegranate refresher before and it genuinely tastes like they juiced hundreds of pomegranate seeds will be making this a regular study spot.

I haven’t had a single bad experience here! The staff has been incredibly welcoming and quick, all while being knowledgeable and friendly! I’ve tried and loved both the Turkish and Sana’ani coffees; they’re both great.

Grab yourself a cinnamon muffin too and you’ll be wowed!

Guys…this place is so incredible. The first time I stopped in I got a slice of their cheesecake and a house cup of coffee. The coffee took a few minutes and I was kind of surprised because it was just coffee. Except until I tried it and was blown away by the taste. Worth the wait. Then today I went to get a pastry and a coffee. The girl working then lifted up a fresh tray of chocolate croissants and offered one…needless to say I got and ate both and they were the best croissant and pastry I’ve ever had. 10/10 go here order one of everything and plan to be amazed. Thank you for your hard work with this place 🙏🏼

I am absolutely blown away by every aspect of Moka -- the delicious coffee, the mind-blowing pastries (the rose milk cake is divine!), the beautiful atmosphere inside, the kind and warm service, I could go on forever. I'm so excited to make this my new go-to spot in Lansing!

We had Mufawar coffee, a secret specialty blend with cardamom and cream, and a Lotus Basbusa cake slightly warmed up for a chilly day. Both were delicious and highly recommended. Excellent baristas and bright, airy space great for convivial social interactions and productive schoolwork.

Amazing coffee and treats. Tried this place when I ended up in the area by accident and now I need to go back! Pistachio latte was flavored perfectly and you notice the quality ingredients used. Brought home a few cheesecakes for the family who loved them. Next time looking forward to sampling the savory danishes. Highly recommend this place not only for it's great coffee and treats but friendly service.

This place has an amazing atmosphere. It's new so it's super clean and the staff are extremely nice. They were very helpful in guiding me through the menu and explaining all the different drink options. It's great for family and friend gatherings; It accommodated my large family with ease. I secretly wish I didn't stop at this coffee shop because now I'm addicted to their date cake with ice cream:/

Today was my first time being there and I got everything to go. Even from the first impression this will definitely not be my last time coming here. It’s such a nice peaceful area to study with nice art work on the walls and even the Yemeni sweets and drinks are really good!! I got the Shai Adeni and sabaya twists and they taste just like my moms which says a lot. The people who work there are so sweet and kind! Would definitely recommend checking it out because finally we have an Arab owned coffee shop in East Lansing!!

I'm a regular at this place and it's awesome. The coffee shop has a bunch of different coffees and teas that I really like. Personally, I'm a fan of the Yemeni tea. I totally recommend this place - it's one of the best spots for a coffee or tea in Lansing.

Moka & Co has become my new staple!
After the Blue Owl's tragic relocation in Nov 2023, the downtown EL area was lacking a local, friendly coffee shop for community members to meet and enjoy that serene coffee shop atmosphere. Thankfully, Moka & Co has filled that void!
In the menu, there are some staple coffees that you can get anywhere, but I haven't tried any of those yet because of the main attraction of the menu: authentic Yemeni coffee recipes, rich with premium coffee and spices. I haven't gone through the whole menu, but every coffee and tea I've had so far has been expertly made and delicious.
Like the drinks, their pastries section has a few standard treats (muffins, croissants, etc) but mostly has Yemeni treats! I've only tried a couple of the foods so far, and although the sweet ones were usually too sweet for my taste, the high quality craftsmanship of each food is obvious.
The employees are always kind (even when people botch the menu item names) and very skilled at their work.
The space itself is larger than it looks from the outside, with tons of natural sunlight streaming in! There are beautiful hand painted murals on multiple walls and a variety of spaces to sit and either work/study, chat with friends, or simply enjoy a hot coffee in a peaceful environment.

The coffee, the aesthetics, and the customer service all of it was absolutely amazing. From the minute we walked in the set up of the shop was amazing, it had a nice welcome feel to it and a lot of space. Then being greeted by the sweetest girl who was very patient with us I believe her name was Jude she was awesome and very informative. I recommend the Mofowar and saffron milk cake, definitely a must try. 10/10 would recommend, definitely will be back. If you want a nice spot to chill there’s an area for that and then if you’re looking for somewhere to study they have isolated dedicated areas for that as well. Honestly a great spot!
