love this place, their mushroom cheddar scone is one of the best things i’ve ever eaten. also absolutely love the option of purchasing a day old scone or other pastry, amazing way to help with waste and save a couple bucks. I ask them to warm it up and it’s just like new. my only criticism is that i wish they left the simple syrup out for customers to add themselves. great place to work as well, with free wifi and a 2h time limit

The atmosphere is totally fine. I wouldn’t go there for atmosphere, but the food was great and it is a great place to work! It has some indoor and outdoor seating, with plenty of power plug ins at the communal table inside. Conveniently next to the T and a pretty fountain, but the Farmwich sandwich was really the main reason for the great review!

Great vibes and delicious food and drinks!!

We had the spicy noodles, ube toast, egg sandwich, and mushroom melt, and all were delicious! The dirty chai was also one of the best I've ever had.

Really cute little cafe with such a cool aesthetic!

Love Cafe Iterum! I've been watching Chef Matt's journey digitally from the very beginning and it's absolutely beautiful to see the effort put in to create a sustainable restaurant. Every detail was put in place with sustainability in mind.

Environment: The cafe itself has Amazing natural light, great for getting work done or clearing the mind. There are a ton of plants to create fresh air and a calm interior. The wood interiors pair nicely with natural brown tones and living plants, which have cute little names. The music is a positive mix of all types, not too loud or distracting, fresh. There is a ton of outdoor seating. It's also conveniently located by the Mav T-Stop (Maverick Blue Line).

Sustainability: From the recycling to the carefully thought out use of ingredients, Cafe Iterum has a large focus on creating a one of a kind restaurant experience revolving around Sustainability.

Coffee- The coffee is wonderful! I had a house-made hazelnut oat latte and also tested out the chai. The hazelnut and chai worth both balanced and flavorful. I'm so happy to have drinks that aren't over sweetened. They were quite delightful! The beans they use are Intelligencia. There are a ton of high-quality barrista blend milk and milk alternatives, I prefer oat. The brand they use primarily is Califia which is a great brand. They also have a ton of other drink options for non-coffee drinker likes sparking water and fresh pressed juices.

Food: They have a wonderful selection of healthy and delicious food, even gluten free and vegan options! I absolutely adored the eggplant bacon, so flavorful. As a meat lover, it was enough to make me pick eggplant bacon over real bacon. That's saying something. I had the breakfast sandwich and a chocolate Orange scone. It was 100% what I needed after a long day on the airplane. The egg was the perfect texture and Sriracha mayo was delicious.

Staff: Don't be surprised if the Chef himself is out there serving you and cleaning up. It's a team effort vibe here and everyone is a fan of helping out. The staff is kind and quick to help you navigate their unique menu items.

Be sure to pay them a visit!

Great local Eastie cafe! Good quality ingredients and nice vibe with lots of plants. Also they pay their staff a living wage and don’t ask for tips which is a bonus.

Nice & convenient. You can hang out if the weather is good (or just walk out on the ocean front for a great stroll and watch the sunset while sipping your latte like we did!)

Just walk out of the Maverick station and be there…

Loved this cafe by the harbor, we needed a place near the airport to kill time after our red eye flight to Boston. The location is great, offering amazing views of downtown Boston. The coffee and food is great!

I’ve here twice now and have had the breakfast wrap, blueberry muffin and a large coffee. Then walked down to the pier/shore and ate breakfast while Boston joggers pass by and watching downtown from across the bay. These simple things are great in life! Also good food which the breakfast wrap is! Dense amount of egg, bacon, spinach, tomato, oils and herbs. Delish. Highly recommend and the mochas (ice or hot) are refreshing and lively. I highly recommend if you’re staying near the airport because it is a really nice walk through Maverick to the shore

Update: Coffee is much better! Got the breakfast wrap and it was very good - packed with eggs, bacon, etc. Considering the rise in competitor prices, I now think Cafe Iterum is very reasonable.

Very nice inside. Lots of outside seating. The issues are the prices and brand of coffee used (IMO). A small coffee is listed at $4. I added half and half which they charge 50 cents for, then there was a 32 cent service charge followed by taxes. So, a small coffee came to $5.13. Only extremely high quality hand crafted pour overs should cost that much, not regular drip. Also, I simply don’t like their coffee - it’s weak, acidic and has a very light body. Of course, that’s just my opinion on the flavor. At the very least, they need to do away with those ridiculous up charges for cream (don’t want to hear about zero waste - cream is cheap) and “services”, and maybe add a richer heavier body espresso. Let me repeat - No coffee shop in the area charges for cream and “services”, so they really shouldn’t either.

This is the ULTIMATE gathering spot in Eastie!! Let’s first talk about the menu! A+, off the chart. EVERYTHING is deliciously and meticulously crafted but you get to enjoy it in the most unpretentious and warm setting!

Family friendly! They have a huge patio area and your littles can be occupied with many of the books and board games while you nurse on your speciality bevies. And the patio area is SO CLEAN. I know this sounds weird but if you live in Eastie you know that most common areas are sometimes not properly maintained. I didn’t feel like I was eating next to a trash can, or homies hovering over (think some parts of Boston downtown!).

This joint is owned and run by Chef Matt McPherson. He took the time to get to know us, having being there for our first time.

This is a gem in Eastie and we are so blessed for this local top notch cafe! This is top notch food in a top notch setting without the fanfare of long queues and oz of pretentiousness!

Breakfast Egg sandwich is amazing, with soft brioche bun and crispy juicy bacon. My daughter and I loved the Avocado Toast too, portions were plenty. Great location and vibe!

My favorite place to get work done and love their lattes with seasonal flavors. All syrups are house made and they have a yummy house made eggplant bacon.

A delightful cafe. The coffee and espresso are both amazing, and any food item I’ve had has been excellent. They have little games hanging around, the chairs are comfy, and the tables have outlets on top making it a great place to grab some coffee and get some work done or catch up with friends.
