Owners were extremely nice! We enjoyed sitting out back, their grandkids were a delight, really enjoyed watching them play. Loved the food! 10 out of 10 suggest trying this place out.

Listen yall the street corn plate is life!!! Not to mention the fresh juice available and the fruit cups is my favorite!!! I love this cozy place perfect fit for the Burgaw! Owners and staff are always welcoming and friendly! 🥰

Wow these tacos are amazing The quality of the pulled chicken and flavor! Great little place. The chips were light and crisp with light seasoning and the salsa tasted authentic and so good. Best street corn omg. Brought home the carne tacos for my husband and he wanted more! Very friendly nice guy working there. Oh and the red velvet cake, wow so yum. This place will bring us back to Burgaw from Hampstead often.

Great service, portion sizes, friendly staff and loved the separate vegetarian menu! Went here today around 4 pm with my partner and was impressed by the kind and attentive staff ( perhaps owners). I will definitely return as I need to try their desserts and freshly baked bread.

Was in town for the Blueberry Drop and noticed this little gem! There are vegetarian options, and the burrito I got was huge! I could only eat half. The prices are competitive as well. The gentleman that waited on us was super friendly... All in all, a great spot 😊

Was in town visiting family and this gem was highly recommended. Their Salsa, Shrimp Tacos, Taco Salad, Cheesecake & Chocolate Cake was beyond amazing. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed everything. Outstanding customer experience from the Gentleman operating the register. His recommendations were on point. Looking forward to returning again soon.

I went there on 9/13/2023. Because of surgery, I was unable to get out of the car without it being a long task, so my 9 year old son went in to grab a menu and then back in to place my order. They were so nice and even brought the order out to the car for us. The service was great and so was the food! I had the red velvet cake, and it was absolutely delicious! I will go again!

The day after Christmas... came with rain and gloomy skies. The type of weather that makes you say, " Let's stop somewhere to get something small to eat, rather than a full meal." Little did we know... that the sun was shining, we just didn't know where to find it.

As soon as we stepped into the doors of Burgaw Alimente. You could slowly feel the positive and relaxing atmosphere fill you up with joy. We met Opa and Mimi, who both had a very unique and loving dynamic between themselves, as well as with the customers. You can clearly tell their hearts and souls are designed to focus on taking care of their customers. Naturally, this reflects in the quality of their food that they serve.

The food at Burgaw Alimente was OUTSTANDING. The very first bite of the salsa lets you instantly know "this place... its different... its fresh, and its clean". The main dishes, that followed soon after were filled with the freshes and fulfilling ingredients. We were blown away at how HEALTHY and refreshingly LIGHT the food was, when compared to the more greasy and heavy food that most other mexican restaurants tend to serve you.

Opa and Mimi both are very personable. As Opa kept our tea refilled to the brim, he gleamed at the chance to show us a genuine conversation. It wasn't one of those "shallow" chats that most business owners try to appease their customers with either. While chatting, Opa mentioned a drink called "Horchata", and how he wished he had some to let us try. Mimi, in the kitchen, secretely whipped us up two samples of Horchata.... and they were just... heavenly. It instantly brought back memories of my vietnamese-cultured childhood, where I ate a street-dessert called "Che Dau Den". The Horchata hit the perfect balance of being sweet and savory. It was the perfect ending to the experience with this beautiful, "hidden gem" of a restaurant.

Great food... I used to be a executive chef and my opinion this place was great.. the chicken was full of flavor quaso was thick and creamy. And the Tortillas we're fresh and the best texture iv ever had.. I would like to see those Tortillas fried for chips with the quaso and salsa.. also desserts looked great will be back soon to grab one... 😀

The food is amazing, everything we ordered was delicious! The service was also fantastic, highly recommend, worth the drive.

OH MY WOWWW! This tiny place was a very pleasant surprise! We were passing through & stopped for lunch. My husband couldn’t stop commenting on “the most amazing steak tacos he’s ever had” & we decided to get dessert to go. I “sampled” my choice of the Black Forest cake & it was HEAVENLY!!! I finished it in the car. So moist! Absolute delicious!

I was craving something sweet and remember seeing this storefront when walking in downtown so decided to try one of their bakery items, and oof I did not go wrong! I got a carrot cake, and it’s to die for 😆

First, I would like to say the gentlemen and lady working there were the nicest people we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. We had quesadillas, tacos and street corn. Everything was great. Then we had cake… it was absolutely delicious. The chocolate cake was awesome and the tres leche was perfect. The front counter is a bit small to eat in, but we found out they have a cool area around back with 7-8 tables. All around great experience for our family!

I am from the Raleigh area and was working in Burgaw for the day. Looking online for a local lunch spot I found BURGAW ALIMENTE. Holy cow! The bowl was delicious and the desserts were divine! I purchased 3 of them so I could bring some home. Great food, wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff. I wish y’all had a place in Wake County. Highly recommend this place.

Great food that is amazing on its own merit, non-processed, not stored with preservatives. Simply delicious! I love Mexican food, and I love the Chipotle restaurant bowls....but there are alot of times those places serve up some less than desirable meats, I hate all the flubbery (for lack of a better word) fat and mystery stuff hanging off the sides of chicken or steak and alot of times, that's what you'll get at chain restaurants.

Then here comes this lesser known slice of heaven, BURGAW ALIMENTE. The food is incredible, I tried as many items as I thought I could handle lol. I had the street corn, and Alimente Bowl, a fruit cup, a slice of incredible red velvet cake, and a slice of regular cheesecake and I have to say, I doubt I'll ever visit a Chipotle again, EVERYTHING was so good. I live near 2 hours from Burgaw, in new places I like to Google search "food places near me" and this one came up, relatively new, not a ton of reviews, but ones given are great reviews so I tried Burgaw Alimente and I was not at all disappointed. Even the way the food is presented on a to-go plate is just mind-blowing, you can EASILY tell this place is ran by good people that GENUINELY care and take pride in producing good food. For that reason alone, if I'm ever within a 40 minute drive of this awesome little town, I am going out of my way so I can make through the rest of their menu offerings lol.

ALSO, the Elderberry Tribe lemonades they serve in bottles are the best fruit flavored lemonade I've ever tried, LEGITIMATELY. Arby's and other places sometimes come out with lemonade that are good, but their stuff comes out of a bag that was filled in some factory somewhere with who-knows what other ingredients....the Elderberry lemonade are the real deal, all organic, and even offerings immune system benifits....are you kidding me?! I sincerely hope to see this place get so big that they'll have no choices but to expand over to the Fayetteville area near me.

I don't do reviews, maybe 2 or 3 on Amazon orders over the past 10 years, but I'm ridiculously excited about this place and am glad I tried this one. If any of you guys are ever in the area and looking for something new, produces amazing quality food and ran by good people that seem to love their community, try Burgaw Alimente...it's really good stuff going on in there.

Delicious food. Two great menus, regular and vegetarian. You can customize your meal to your own preferences. Enjoyed my quesadilla immensely. Everything fresh and delicious! This is a new favorite for me!
