Sandusky Book Bar

A really neat place to have in Sandusky! Great selection of coffee flavors and they do offer treats from Bake Erie. I do wish they carried gluten free treats as well so I could enjoy something, but their coffee was delicious. Their books are arranged already so that makes it easier to find what you are interested in. Plenty of parking and easy to find location. Handicap accessible parking and entrance available as well. Highly recommend checking it out in the area.

What an awesome new place that opened at the old YMCA! We stopped in and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. I love the assortment of books to choose from and the cozy seats to drink your drink and read a book. The staff was super friendly and took great care of us. We tried the coffee and it was delicious especially the "Lavender Vanilla Latte". The bar opens on the 20th so I'll be sure to update my review then. Make sure you stop in and read a book or play a board game or 2 while trying some of their amazing coffees!

I absolutely LOVE this place! The atmosphere is very conducive to group discussion, casual relaxation, and completing creative projects while enjoying a coffee or beer.
I work remotely, so I drive here every day from Port Clinton to work from my laptop. It's always worth the trip, because there aren't many places like Book Bar that combine friendly customer service, great ambiance, and the best coffee in town.
I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone looking for a laid back setting to hang out with your friends, host a group meeting, or just sit with a book for a few hours.

A lovely little place! Stopped in with a friend and we had the best day. A small but mighty selection of used books to peruse through - I left with four since they were such a deal! Grabbed a London Fog to drink and it was delicious - will have to come back and explore the rest of the menu. Ambiance here was so friendly and relaxing, there were chairs and tables scattered throughout to hang out. This was also just a fun trip down memory lane as I spent many years at this YMCA, so it’s interesting to see the space reimagined!

Super cute relaxing spot! My husband and I stopped in for a couple drinks: we got the peppermint martini and a peppermint cocoa and both were delicious! I can’t wait to come back with my books in hand

The space is beautiful. I was served one of the best lavender fogs I’ve had and managed to snag a few books.

Service and atmosphere is really great! Was there for the bourbon tasting and did not try the coffee or boards.

I absolutely love this place. It's very comfortable and is decorated nicely. Lexi is friendly and gets your coffee with a smile. It's affordable too! No $6 small coffee here. Go here! Lots of books and games.

Awesome place! Drinks are great -- coffee, tea, alcoholic drinks and even mocktails. The books average out to around $2 and they've got some interesting ones. Super chill place. There are hooks for your bag under the counter at the bar as well, which is super thoughtful.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Sandusky. I love the coffee, the hours, and above all the vibe. The atmosphere is super warm and cozy and I get the best work done here.

Everyone that works here is friendly. The coffee is good and they serve alcohol, as well. They have a varied selection of books that I hope can continue to grow. I appreciate that the old YMCA building is being used for something positive. Thanks, Janie and staff!

What a fun little place, we were there for the solar eclipse and they had themed drinks and live music. Would love to go again.

What a great discovery to make on a recent trip back from the UK to Sandusky. Great atmosphere, excellent offerings and genuinely pleasant staff. This is an original and unique offering in a town I love.

What a warm and inviting place! With expansive views of natural greenery, super friendly service, a uniquely diverse menu, and exorbitant amount of wonderful things to read/activities to be played by yourself or with others make this place a bright shining star for 2024 and hopefully many years to come!
