Fantastic Nepali ambiance with the best veg momos! Visited three times in just two days, tried Veg Jhol Mo:Mo, Thukpa, and Chow Chow Sadheko – all excellent.

Have ordered delivery several times and finally got to dine in. Delicious food, lots of vegetarian friendly options, and kind people. Great thukpa, chili momo, and jhol momo. One of our favorite places for a hearty and soul warming meal.

The food was delicious and super fragrantful. I wish they sell the mango pickles extra. It’s soo spiced in a good way.

I was there with friends and family for dinner. The food was great and friendly environment.
We try a band of drink , all the drinks was great we love it . 5/5( oh keep in mind you can asked the drink that you like,, my drink was not in the menu’s ( spicy margarita) )they make perfectly the way that I like 👍.
Must order fried rice ( beef). 5/5

For the vegetarian must must order vegetables soups.. will comings back.

Best nepali restaurant I know, the food is sooo close to being similar like what we get in Nepal, starting off with panipuri I have never had pani puri this good. The taste of the food is heavenly. The workers are so friendly and the owner is so sweet❤ will forever be my favorite nepali restaurant!!!!!

Amazing Nepalese food, I was craving for local taste and this place serve best Nepalese local delicacy. Space is not that big but food and service is commendable. Love every bites of local cusine I and my wife had here. If you are craving for Nepalese food around Jackson height, New York this place will be a good choice.

Ordered the Wai Wai Sandheko, Chicken Thali, and beef Thukpa. Everything was delicious.

Was in New York for a few days work trip and I happen to try most if not all Nepalese restaurants in Jackson Heights. And by far Gorkhali was the best in terms of food quality and customer service. I found Bhancha Ghar to be the worst among all (maybe it is on the prime location and the owner had enough already ...but again it was open during Dashain when rest were all closed..). Food at LaliGurans was good too but I was bit disappointed with the serving lady as she refused me for wifi saying they don't have one ...but clearly they had it (my holafly was't working ..also not everyone coming to these restaurants are from the US with network availability...some like me travel from abroad for few days and rely one wifi for internet and connecting with family). Anyways, it's not only taste of food that matters, it is how you serve that food. Sometimes just a short conversation with a smile does wonders. Many thanks Gorkhali. Will visit again in near future :)

And btw, during my two weeks stay in NYC, I found the tipping system to be very disappointing. I live in Europe and never had to worry about tipping for the service, as everything is included in the final bill. I read it somewhere that the staffs rely on tips as they are poorly paid. Why is that? Increase the wages ... increase the cost of food. Don't expect from customers to pay for the food and also wages to staffs, and roll eyes when they deny. Call me rude...that's okay but this tipping system is utterly disappointing.

This place is a GEM! The momos are so tasty, flavorful and you have to try them all (pork/beef/chicken), although, the steamed chicken may be my favorite! These days, it’s my favorite momo in Jackson Heights (and I go to momo crawl!). We had questions about items on the menu and the staff were super helpful and kind in helping us choose what to order. Speaking of the staff, they are amazingly accommodating and make magic happen! We had a birthday in our party and they truly went above and beyond in providing us with a special dessert and candle to make our experience so special. The vibe of the second floor is also very unique, warm and cozy. It feels like walking up a treehouse to a magical and homey place. Next time, I want to come back when they have live music, I think on Thursday nights? Thank you Gorkhali team!

The thali was one of the best I've had. The tarkari and daal was *chef's kiss*. I wish they added an option to add more meat for extra charge so we can enjoy thali food better. It's also great that there's some parking space available.

Best thali in NY. Highly recommend fry pork thali.

Update: Sadly their food is not consistent. However service is good but was not expecting a service charge of 15% with included in the bill. Very disappointed with the experience.

Food was delicious, and flavour was on point. Very friendly staff, customer service was Fab. Do recommend you try out their goat thali.

Best Nepali thali in NY. The owner and staffs are very friendly. Authentic Nepali dish. They have full bar. I go there multiple times a week.

Absolutely delicious!! By far the best Nepali food I’ve had in NYC. The staff were extremely friendly and the prices were great for the good quality cooking. The thenthuk was flavorful and made with delicious hand-pulled noodles. You can definitely tell the work that went into all of the food. Of course don’t miss the momos!! Incredible!
