Such a special company with beautiful and unique products! I have multiple items from Les Indiennes - a beautiful shower curtain, multiple pillows, and most recently a matching duvet to go with the euro shams on our bed! Beautiful quality and patterns that elevate any room!

Worst experience ever, their manufacturing process is totally flawed and all the colors run, see attached photo of what happened when I washed my white sheets with blue patterns in COLD water, with mild detergent and on Delicates cycle. I sent it back to them, they refuse any refund. Look how insulting their response is, as if I am a professional hand laundry outfit:

We are sorry to hear that the first washing did not go as expected. Can you please let us know which products you purchased. Also, may we ask which detergent you used to wash our products?

Our printed fabrics do require special care. Due to our natural dyes and the hand-block printing process each wash releases dye in to the water, this is normal. The trick is to avoid releasing too much dye at one time. It is very important to use the maximum water setting despite the size of your load followed by an extra rinse. This ensures that the basin fills with water so that the products can rinse thoroughly and not absorb the excess dye. In the past when excess dye has been absorbed by our products we have had great success by re-washing the items on delicate with cold water and distilled white vinegar followed by an extra rinse. Drip-dry is recommended followed by a hot steam iron for pressing.

Our return policy states we accept returns on unused/unwashed items within 30 days of purchase. The reason we specify "unwashed" is due to the fact that laundering is specific to the individual, machinery and cleaning solutions.

Please let us know if the re-washing process is able to clarify the backgrounds of the products and rectify this situation.

Wish I would have read the negative reviews before spending over $900 on a bedspread and pillow shams. After washing AS INSTRUCTED, the colors ran and the quilt looked horrible; see photos! I complained and was told by the clerk in the store that she couldn't do anything, that it was very much past the warranty period (how often do you WASH a quilt??) and that I would have to talk to the owner. I got an email from Nicole giving me very detailed instructions on how "I" could possibly tackle this problem: buy Grandma's Spot Remover and treat the affected areas ($15 and it took the whole bottle), wash in cold water in a laundromat large washer in vinegar ($9.50) and air tumble dry ($9.50) (all this taking about 3 hours of my time as well). This whole process did NOTHING and now the quilt looks more worn from another washing and there are lumps where the batting has gathered inside. I wrote a long email to her asking for my money back and have heard nothing. This was the worst consumer experience ever. I would NOT recommend buying anything from them unless maybe you NEVER intend to wash it. I'm so disappointed, as I love the look of the fabrics, but I cannot possibly recommend their products or their customer service.

I got a duvet set for Christmas , I washed it as indicates little soap , cold water , very little and mild detergent , organic , no enzymes etc . Cold water very gentle delicate cycle . it does recommend hand wash but it is a large duvet , is not very realistic for hand washing. It has come out a total mess , it was white and blue indigo polka dots , the white is now grayish and spottier then before washing. I m not happy about it and I do understand is hand made. HAnd printed etc . But it had just one use before completely changing to something not very appealing anymore .
