We LOVE Pura Vida Açai bowls! They are literally the BEST! We have been coming here for years! We highly recommend for a bowl or Costa Rican coffee. Amazing! Check it out!

Wow! The Mango Cheesecake Bowl is deliciously refreshing!!! The best Açaí I have ever had and big bonus, this one is topped with toasted coconut, mini cheesecakes, fresh strawberries, mango coulis, whipped cream, and a mint leaf. Not a mango lover? They have a wonderful variety of flavors to choose from.

The portions are generous and I could have shared, but …. I didn’t 🤷‍♀. It is always a pleasure meeting the smiles of the people behind the business who are passionate and work hard every day to bring a bit of “Pura Vida” to us!!!

I had never known what good açaí was.

My açaí has always been runny, and taken eons to get prepared.

I was in and out in 3 minutes and it was truly the best açaí bowl I’ve ever had and didn’t know existed.

But the reason I’m writing is because I want to thank the owners for making this place look like a little piece of Costa Rica ❤ I was born and raised in Costa Rica, for 10 years I haven’t visit my country. Today, as I walked in this place I couldn’t hold back my tears. This place is so beautiful and it reminds me so much of home ❤ is really sooooo rare to find places like this. You made a Tica homesick but in love with this place and food. Thank you 🙏🏻 🇨🇷🥹

These açaí bowls are my favorite! I go almost everyday its so good! The coffee is also amazing! Employees are also very nice and friendly! Never disappoints!

Pura Vida has the best Acai, period. Nothing comes close to their acai in terms of taste, texture, toppings. If you've never had acai before, try Pura Vida first!

Like their food. Tried it for the first time. It was pretty good. And really filling. I had to share mine, cause couldn’t finish the bowl. It’s healthy, filling, and delicious. Tried the one with coconut and oatmeal.

My wife and I first tried Pura Vida from their food truck at First Friday’s in downtown KC. Both the bowls we had were amazing and we’ve been following the truck ever since. When we learned they were opening a physical location we were pumped!

Since Pura Vida has opened we make the trip from downtown at least once a week. The bowls are always awesome and Ethan and Liz (the two owners) are always great to chat with.

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a healthy treat! Way better than ice cream!

Absolutely amazing. The acai base was super thick and creamy. The toppings were fresh and delicious. I have had acai bowls all over the country and this was easily the best one I've ever had. Can't wait to return!

Delicious! I wasn’t too familiar with açaí before I walked in, but after tasting my first one, it will not be my last. I’m glad I’m not too close or I would be there daily.

We have been following Pura Vida ever since they started with the food truck and followed them all around town. It was great to see them be able to open a brick and mortar store and I love having the ability to get my Acai fix now year round. Great food and great people!

Absolutely amazing. Ordered a bowl to go, but could not make it home before I had to open it up! About crashed my car trying to eat it. Unfortunately got home to sit and enjoy it but only had 2 bites left !

I had the rainforest bowl! It was delicious and will be returning to hopefully try their coffee and other acai bowls. I love the environment and island vibes as well!

We discovered Pura Vida KC as a food truck and fell in love. We had bowls like these in Aruba and never thought we would be able to have them here so, needless to say, we were very excited! And even more so when the cafe opened within walking distance of our apartment! I get the Garden Bowl which has granola, chia, hemp berries and a honey drizzle - the combination is amazing. My wife gets the Pura Vida and adds all the berries. Lol the atmosphere is light and airy with our favorite island and reggaeton music playing. They also have amazing coffee from Costa Rica roasted just for them - I grind it at home and put it in the French Press for a rich, delicious cup of coffee. They are pricey so a visit to Pura Vida is a treat for us but well worth it!!
