Flowers Bakery Cafe Laurel

I was in town for the funeral for my aunt. After the service my cousin was hosting a "dessert bar" as my aunt had a serious sweet tooth! After using Google to locate all the bakeries in the area I choose this one based on prior reviews and the photos! Although the bakery is small there was a good selection of different cakes to choose from. I choose a small cake that was Marble (white and chocolate cake) with a mousse filling and white chocolate frosting with white and dark chocolate flakes on top. The nice young lady even asked if I wanted something written on the cake which I declined (not sure what I'd put for this occasion). I was a little nervous and didn't have many expectations on what the cake would taste like. I bake a lot and know that many cakes purchased can be dry and have little to no flavor. This cake was DELICIOUS! it was soft, good texture and a creamy filling! Several people complimented me on the purchase. My only regret is that I didn't buy the larger one! Thanks for the great cake!

Very yummy 😋 this place has a very relaxed atmosphere and the employees are very kind. The sandwiches, drinks and baked goods are great, so you really can't go wrong.

But you definitely need to try the chocolate eclair.

Called the bakery for a last minute order and they were super nice and accommodating, they even offered to decorate but with the time crunch, I didn’t want to bother them. The guests loved both the Key Lime Pie and fruit tarts. Grabbed some coffee during pickup and it was really good as well. Definitely will return for other occasions. Service was great as well, both on the phone and in person.

I order a custom cake though a picture and online, and they did an amazing job creating the cake just how I imagined it, the cake also had a good taste and it wasn't too sweet; on top of that, they had the best price in town since other bakeries were almost double the price I paid here.

This cake is like no other. Beautiful cakes and affordable prices. The thing my wife and I like the most are they aren't to sweet like normal cakes but rich and fulfilling taste

I recently bought a cake from Flowers Bakery. It was vanilla and chocolate sponge with strawberry and chocolate mousse. It was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be buying cakes for any special occasion from here more often. Thank you to the bakers at Flowers Bakery.

Such a cozy and warm inviting bakery. Their strawberry shortcake is amazing. I. Ought this for my daughter’s birthday and she said it was the best she ever had. It was so moist and delicious. Everything freshly made here. Definitely ordered more cakes. There sesame cookies also addicting because they are so awesomely delicious.

I went early this morning to get a Birthday cake for my mom as I somehow let this month get away from me. I was greeted by a very pleasant young lady who told me about the cakes and which were the most popular. I decided to go with the raspberry mango cake and it was so delicious. So fresh, and light and perfect. No one was there to write on the cake that early but she asked if I didn’t mind coming back to pick it up which I didn’t. It was perfect. My family loved it and I will be sure to return!

Came here to get a chocolate mousse cake for my daughter's birthday. The cake was so delicious and well balance. Everyone was pretty nice also. I got this small chocolate mousse cake for $24. Will definitely be my go to place from now on!

The young lady was so nice and explain what type of cakes they were. We ended up getting the mango and strawberry and dark chocolate they were amazing not dry at all. Delicious will recommend this if you got a sweet taste.

I reached out to them last minute as I found them on google, I showed up there to order my birthday cake after all other cake places turned turned me down. I placed my order on Friday & it was ready by Sunday as requested. My cake was beautiful as I wanted it to look, it was soft, fluffy & sweet. All my friends loved my cake & asked to be hooked up with the bakery. I would definitely use them over & over again.

I came to celebrate with my in-laws in laurel and I tried the mango cake, it was amazing! It just melted in my mouth. The icing is fluffy and lite, and they decorate them so pretty too. I’m definitely going to get some for my home and for my friends.

What do you know.. This is a hidden gem !. Its their Laurel branch.
Happened to chance on their Bakery @ 14300 Layhill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20906, looking for something Sweet for my Wife. . She is a foodie ;) .. They have Kahlua Cake and Mango cake .. The taste is just awesome. Id say probably the Best bakery in Maryland.. Must try Five Stars...
