Mo's Art Supply Baton Rouge

What a great art store for the LSU, BRCC, etc students around Baton Rouge and the local artists as a whole.
You could go to a larger art store nearby, but this store provides a much more personal experience along with a great selection of specialized items you can't find most places. So if anything, always run by Mo's even if you run by somewhere else.
As a Local Artist and previous student of BRCC, I highly recommend them.

I went in not knowing what to get for my boyfriend's two daughters as a present. 2 young girls that I've only met a few times and know very little about. LaFon was able to help me and point me in the right direction. Her knowledge of what an 8 year old and a 13 year old might like were spot on. I absolutely refuse to go to box stores whenever possible and am so happy to have found a locally owned business. I will be back!

This place is my FAVORITE store in Baton Rouge! Yes, there are grocery stores and clothing stores etc but none of them compare to Moe’s art supply! Let me tell you something folks: the ladies that work in there are the most down to earth, kind, helpful , friendly, talented , and insightful people on the art filled projects you want to do! And it’s not some store where you go in and buy stuff and leave…no no no! It’s a home away from home for those who enjoy creating. It’s a place where creatives can come together and bounce ideas ! Not only is the customer service OUTSTANDING, but the ladies working inside are always excited to see and hear about the project you’re working on currently or past projects or drawings you’ve already completed! All in all love this store, love the people, and love the supplies! If you haven’t stopped in, do yaself a favor and go! You’ll feel like you just entered wonka’s candy factory!

Great store for everything art-related, plus unique items.

Quaint little art store. I’m from New York in still looking for something like Blick art supply in New York here in Louisiana. If your looking for very good canvas painting products this is the place to go. I’m more of a mixed media slash Basquiat person. Decent prices. Very helpful staff.

This very small store is rather deceptive in appearance. There is a lot more in the realms of art supplies then I had initially expected. I rather liked their selection of canvas, frames, pre-framed canvases, and various mediums. The staff were incredibly patient and polite and not pushy at all. I absolutely plan on coming to this store for all future art supply interests.

It was my first visit to Mo's and I was very pleasantly surprised. For a small space they had a great deal more than I expected. The staff were very knowledgable and friendly. My offhand remark about the "best pencil" was rewarded with being taken directly to the exact pencils I had read about! There is much, much more in stock and I know I will be returning soon.

The most amazing customer service ever! Walked in with a college supply list and walked out 10 minutes later with everything we needed thanks to the employees. Will definitely return.

Tons of high-quality products, reasonable prices, and very knowledgeable employees. Especially recommend if you're an LSU art student - they work together with certain classes (ex: Printmaking) to have the supplies you'll need available to purchase as a bundle, so you can grab & check out instead of searching the store for each individual item. Shopping for class supplies is usually a pain and I was really pleasantly surprised by my visit here; can't recommend highly enough.

The people there are friendly and knowledgeable. The variety of materials ranges from beginner to expert.

Great Art supply Store. The staff really knows about all the products on the shelf. This store has a lot ot supplies that Big chain stores don't have. Like screenprinting and printmaking supplies. Every kind of paint imaginable. Huge selection of brushes, pencils, charcoals, you name it. Prices are very reasonable!

This place was awesome. Very friendly and so helpful. Love all the stuff they had for me to look at while my artsy friend looked at all the great quality art supplies.

Went in for the first time today to get fabric dye (they have i-dye packets) and I can't believe I haven't been in before! Must check them out. They have so much stuff like Co-op used to have: more paint and drawing supplies than michaels, all the nice print making papers and inks, and so much more. I of course left with more than what I came in for...

It looks tiny from the outside, but looks are deceiving. They have a huge selection of art supplies, I could have spent hours drooling over everything but for my kid (who was drooling over the children's art section - Santa will be stocking up here!) The lady working was knowledgeable and friendly; the prices were right.

So thankful to have a local art supply shop again! The staff at Mo's is very friendly and the store is well stocked with a great atmosphere. They will try to order something for you if you they don't have it. Grateful that we do not have to order online or go to a big box store.

Great local art shop. I knew they were my best shot for a specific item. Big box stores don't have it. Online shipping is costly. Mo's didn't have the item in stock but they were able to order it for me! When I run out, I'll know to call ahead for the order.

I just did business with these folks less than an hour ago. High quality materials, knowledgeable about their stock and could not be more friendly. I highly recommend Mo's for the professional artist or serious student. Top notch.
