Koto Hibachi Express & Sushi

We ordered our food To Go. I had the 2 roll lunch special. It was the California Roll and Spicy Crab Roll. They were soo good! So fresh! The California Roll has nice big pieces of avocado and crab. The Spicy Roll was the perfect amount of spiciness. I really appreciate that they were bite size and did not have a ton of rice on them. It came with a salad with homemade ginger dressing that was delicious. I went back three times this week to get the same thing. My new favorite lunch when I'm in Gainesville.

The shrimp hibachi lunch was full of flavor and had tons of flavor. The shrimp was delicious and they didn't skimp on it as you can see. I like that it comes with sauce and a little salad with ginger dressing. I could eat here every day!🤤

A counter serve sushi restaurant! That is a fantastic idea. I ordered online through their website the sushi lunch special and takoyaki totaling under $20. The sushi lunch special included two rolls and online, it said with a salad, but I did not get one when I picked it up. It's my fault for not checking the bag. I ordered the eel avocado roll, which had large pieces of avocado and overpowered the eel unfortunately, and the spicy tuna roll, which was okay not great. The takoyaki was yummy but also just okay.

Overall, it was quick service with convenient online ordering, and the sushi was decent quality for the price point.

Will I be back? Maybe. There are other places that have better sushi, but I may try it again if I order something else.

The food was so good, we got the family meal with steak and chicken and it was more than enough for 4 adults and 4 kids, the sushi was really good and fresh, we also got the udon noodles with steak and they were excellent! We will definitely be going back!

The sushi rolls were beautifully presented and bursting with fresh flavors. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend trying their signature rolls for a remarkable sushi experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went here for the first time tonight and had a great meal with hibachi chicken and two sushi rolls, soup and drinks for $40. Food was great, served up in a timely manner, staff was super nice. 5 stars and will definitely be coming back.

We went to camp at Bowman’s Landing.
It was very nice and clean restaurant. Hibachi was delicious. And staff are friendly.

ive came here so many times and its still one of my favorite affordable restaurants! the menu is posted on the outside so its really good for people who have social anxiety or just want to make sure they know what theyre ordering before they enter. the people have been really nice every time i went! i haven't tried a lot of the menu but the veggie rolls are all pretty good. i have a gluten sensitivity and the people were super nice about it, answered my questions, and accommodated to my diet with gluten free soy sauce and other stuff :)) they're also super helpful in general too - twice now ive bought canned corn from the publix next to it and theyve so kindly opened it for me when i asked haha

I like going here it is better than the many many many chinese restaurants in town. Like their decor all the food tastes the same. Just MEH. But at Koto's the restaurant is small but it's cute and has personality the food is good and you can have a variety mix and match. So you're not just stuck with the same food every time. You can have a whole night out just walking down the sidewalk in Butler plaza you got dinner dessert. And with some of the people that run up and down in the parking lot racing their motorcycles and cars you got to show. What more do you need.

Every time I order, the food is always well prepared and fresh. I absolutely love their sushi.
It's never a long wait for my food to be ready either.

Friendly staff who give warm smiles. I ordered the takoyaki and the peppered tuna tataki. I will definitely be ordering again! I have a hard time finding good takoyaki and they nailed it. Crispy outside, soft and flavorful inside. Smoky bonito flakes and sauces rounded it out. One order is definitely not enough. The tataki was cool, spicy, and melts in your mouth. Delicious!

I get the vegetable fried rice and my daughter gets the vegetable Japanese noodles and we both love it. Food is tasty, prepared exactly as we requested, the restaurant is clean and it's made quickly.

I went here with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised. The interior has a lot of space and the food service is rather quick which was nice considering the size of the crowd that was in there at the time. I got one of the sushi rolls and it was particularly good. I would recommend them if you're looking for good sushi quick or good hibachi quick. The hibachi meals in particular are a good value per dollar

Our Hibachi, chicken katsu and sushi were all perfect and delicious! We did takeout for our first Koto experience and it was ready when we arrived. Looking forward to dining in at the nice restaurant next time.

Stopped here while out of town for my job before heading back to Georgia. Really delicious hibachi and sushi, with great service. If I ever come back to Gainesville I’ll be sure to stop here again.

Friendly staff, my husband and I always get the chicken hibachi meal to go. It's so tasty and the prices are reasonable
