Nestled in Porters Neck in Wilmington, is this quaint little restaurant called Bridgewater.

The attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience was remarkable. The ambiance was elegant yet inviting, providing the perfect backdrop for the culinary journey that awaited. Each dish that graced our table was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It was evident that the chef’s dedication to using fresh, high-quality ingredients shone through in every bite.

Furthermore, I must commend the impeccable service provided by the staff. Their knowledge of the menu, coupled with their attentiveness and genuine hospitality, truly enhanced the overall experience.

We will definitely return!

What a nice relaxing atmosphere. Hidden little spot. I enjoyed the conversation with my fantastic server Eric. What a gem! He suggested a delicious red wine, made sure I had everything I needed and made me feel welcome. I came in for restaurant week and got the tomato bisque, beef tenderloin and crème brûlée. WOW! The entire meal was fabulous but the tomato bisque was my favorite.

I honestly don’t want to share my review because this place is a hidden gem!! The wine,the service, the food! All chef’s kiss! Eric waited on us and made the best recommendations! Everything about our experience was top notch! We will definitely be back!

Is it a wine shop? Is it charcuterie? Is it gourmet yet casual dining? YES. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is great. We went during Port City Restaurant Week.

Scout made the night! Absolutely delightful and personable waitstaff.
The lobster bisque in a bread bowl was amazing! Not too big and amazing flavor.
Both the tuna and chicken Marsala was amazing; glad we shared because I don’t think I could have chosen.
And no one, ever, should never ever order the chocolate cake!! (Because they run out and we always order a piece)

We went Tuesday for the half priced entrees and had such a great time. The braised short ribs were fantastic and paired perfectly with the red wine flight. The best part of our night was the service. We were taken great care of by Scout and thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Highly recomme d

If you are wanting to do tapas and wine, this is the place. Affordable and great quality wines. The charcuterie board is out of this world, and way more than anything downtown. If I could eat here every day I would.

Scout, Eric & Chloe are amazing! If they serve you or help you, then you can automatically guarantee a great time. I love the BW staff!

Incredible. I love the atmosphere and selection. The food was delicious and the service was great. I absolutely loved the seared tuna salad; and my friends ordered a flatbread with goat cheese and fig (I can’t remember what it was called) and it was divine!

So happy with my experience here. The wine tasting was low key and delightful. I’ll definitely visit again when I’m in the area!

Great place to learn about wine and try something new. The staff are always friendly and excited to help us find something we enjoy. Everything we have eaten has been delicious. We love having this place on our side of town.

Cozy little nook with lots of extras! You can sample lots of small plates or order a full meal. Staff was very kind and helpful. Food is Amazing! Prices reasonable. Great date night!!

Charcuterie tray was delicious we loved the duck salami and the man chego cheese. We also had the Baked brie oh my it was so good.

Fun experience. Four of us came and sat out on outside patio. Did a couple of flights and then ordered glasses of wine. Many of the wines were things we had never had so that was great. Server was a delight and we ordered way too much food. Favorite was the Rueben flatbread. Holy surprise. Ok the chocolate fondue was also fun and delicious. Looking forward to going back.

Both locations are great but this one is over the top!! Brooke, Chloe, Scout, and everyone else have always gone out of their way to provide exceptional service. Everyone is knowledgeable and provides their own recommendations that will always help you find something fun to take home.

Lorna was an amazing server and hostess. I wish I would have taken pics of what we ordered but we ate it far too fast. We were seated and served quickly, we chose to sit outside, even with the cool weather they had outdoor heaters so we were plenty warm, the food was delicious, and the wine selection was fantastic.

I recently hosted a luncheon at Bridgewater for 14 people. They did an excellent job from great service to delicious dishes. Highly recommend!

My visit was 4 December 2021 for dinner. I had stopped the night before but there was a private party going on in the inside. You could still eat outside but I thought I would just get a takeout. I talked to the host (Wes) who was most pleasant and with my allergies and party guest still coming in door, I told him I would be back tomorrow instead and he mention some places to eat. He felt bad his time with party guest and regular customers was divided. So, I did return the next day because he was so kind, I wanted to try one or two of the dishes and it was next to my hotel, I could look through wine collection, get a drink and walk safely back across street to my hotel. Well, he remembered me the moment I walked in, remembered my allergies, and help me make my choice for a takeout. The atmosphere was so pleasant that I ended up sitting at the bar and eating my meal. All staff members to include the manager were extremely pleasant. My meal included, the Margherita Flatbread, a glass of Don David Malbec and Castellani Sangiovese. This was a nice meal before going home the next morning. This restaurant was practicing Covid precautions. Everyone was pleasant but Wes and Brooke were my host and waitress. When back in this area, I will definitely be back. Nice selection of wines as well. Smile!

Spent the afternoon with Eric and David. My goodness service was exceptional, food recommended was extraordinary, and the space and feeling of comfort and positivity was everything. Don’t waste time and head over to Bridgewater Wines.

Bridge water is a lovely wine store offering delicious meats & cheeses, fruit spread, honey, nuts & olives while tasting various wines. Looking forward to returning there soon!!
