Rev Simmons performed our vow renewal ceremony on 6/19 with the utmost professionalism....it was such a beautiful service! He recognized the importance of our family to us and helped to incorporate them into our sand ceremony. He made us laugh and feel very comfortable with him. He stayed in contact with us leading up to the day of our renewal ceremony. On our special day, he went above and beyond keeping a constant eye on the weather as there were storms rolling through and communicated with us frequently. He was flexible in moving the time up a bit to make sure we could have our renewal ceremony on the beach as planned. He is a true professional and truly cares about your service being exactly what you hoped and dreamed!!

Rev Simmons was terrific! He made our wedding ceremony very easy for us to plan. Ben is a super nice guy and Randy and I enjoyed getting to know him. My husband has quite the sense of humor as you can see when he took the vows out of his coat pocket! Lol

My husband and I found Benjy through internet search. We live in Virginia and visit SC often during the summer and knew we wanted to get married there. Benjy was heaven sent to us. He made everything SO easy from the first conversation we had until we said I Do. He assisted with planning, coordinating and even sending out signed wedding licenses at the end so we didn’t have to worry about it. When our venue got changed last minute (literally the day before our wedding due to weather) Benjy spoke with the DJ, coordinated with our other planner and didn’t even blink with the transition to new space. He even was willing to help us find a new venue to use. We had multiple family members come up to us after the wedding saying how wonderful he was, how eloquently he spoke and how perfect his choice of words was. We felt so comfortable with him during a time that is extremely nerve wracking standing in front of a bunch of people staring at you. One day, my husband and I will renew our vows and we will go right back to Benjy. Even though we didn’t get to utilize his full services provided including getting sand on the beach prepped and having him set up/take down chairs on the beach strictly due to weather, I have no doubt that everything still would have gone smooth. We put full trust in Benjy! Above all else, he is a really genuine and great person, which assisted with the process being so smooth. We recommend Benjy 1,000x over!!

I don’t know where to start! Reverend Benjy Simmons was an absolute blessing! Our wedding was better than we imagined! From my first phone call he helped with planning the location, timing and vows. We were eloping and keeping it small but he said he could help with flowers, baker, etc. He was kind, helpful and communicative. We hired a photographer, Randall Hill, at his recommendation. The two of them work together frequently and are a great team! We were happy with him as well. We had a small, religious ceremony and Reverend Simmons made it meaningful. He asked to say a prayer for our marriage and we were so thankful. The photos I have attached the reverend took for us on his cell phone after the wedding. Rev. Benjy Simmons was a very important part of making our dream wedding day come true! (Benjy came HIGHLY recommended from our venue and the various vendors absolutely love him.) From the very first day we talked via phone, it was clear that he was there to listen and make our ceremony personal. Pastor Benjy Simmons of Simple Wedding Day in Myrtle Beach was amazing to work with! We contacted him just a couple of months in advance of our wedding and he helped us plan our July 4th Sunrise ceremony at Surfside Beach. He was very helpful in telling us where the best places would be to get our marriage license ahead of time since we live out of state. He was also very patient when our service of only the 2 of us turned into us plus 15 guests! We talked a few times before the date and he made sure we knew what to expect, where to meet and even helped us with our communications with the photographer. Our ceremony was absolutely perfect and we couldn't have handpicked a better pastor than Benjy! He is very personable and you feel like you have known him for years. All of our guests had nothing but great things to say about him and his professionalism. I was planning a wedding in Myrtle Beach from Illinois. I saw the great reviews for Rev. Benjy and his service. Throughout the whole process, he was great at explaining everything and giving recommendations! We wanted a beach ceremony and he explained all of our options. He was easy to contact and communicate with. On our wedding day, the weather was not that great and we were trying to rush before the rain started. Rev. Benjy made sure everything remained in tact through the rushing and hectic guests. I wanted a simple wedding day and Rev. Benjy's service delivered! He set up the decorations and booked the photographer. Would recommend to anyone planning in the area.

Very communicative and was able to please my family because they are pretty hard to deal with. He had everything organized for me as the bride so when I got there all I needed to do was walk down the aisle. I recommend him to anyone that would love to have a destination wedding! Rev. Simmons was perfect to work with! Even having never previously interacted with him. Picking an officiant was one of our harder tasks for the wedding, as we are not affiliated anywhere and he was the perfect choice. Rev Benji was fantastic to work with! He is very caring and takes the time to get to know you and what your looking for in your wedding day. There was rain predicted for our wedding day and all week he was reassuring us that it would work out and sure enough it did. We got married in the perfect spot on the beach and no rain!

From the weekend we drove out to meet with him (he called us the night we arrived at Pawley's Island to make sure we got in ok), various dates between our initial meeting and wedding day and the week of our wedding he would check in with us to make sure nothing had changed and everything is as we expected it to be; he made our wedding so special and more than we had hoped for!

In addition to the great services he provided for us (officiating our ceremony, providing chairs and decorations, set-up, and take down, verifying the tide, reassuring us of the weather and providing us a back-up plan just in case) he also helped us with a videographer, photographer, excellent recommendations for a local bakery, florist, and restaurant for our reception. All of the vendors he recommended have been fantastic to work with!!!

My husband and I got married in December 2022 and hired Benjy as our ceremony officiant. Benjy is absolutely INCREDIBLE! He came highly recommended from our wedding venue, Pawleys Plantation, and I can absolutely see why. Benjy made the entire process so easy and stress free, and has very reasonable prices, especially compared with how crazy expensive wedding vendors can be. He answered all of our questions very promptly and met with us as much as we wanted. He made our rehearsal and ceremony perfect and we couldn't ask for any better.
