As a welding hobbyist, I appreciated the customer service and quick walk-through on some things I should be conscientious of when choosing materials to work with. This was completely unsolicited, but very welcomed.

I never felt stupid for asking questions like suggestions on gas, ways of handling it, etc. They respect the customer and their level of expertise and want to make sure you're getting what you need vs selling you what they want.

As a small time welder i got excellent customer service. Gas solvent prices are a bit higher than some but its in a really convenient location right next to the highway. My favorite thing there is the regulator swap program with victor. I got the exact regulator i needed at a discount( for my regulator series, it may be different for you)

Shy on fittings and grinding abrasives. Tried for 2 months to get acetylene, from ANY of the 3 stores in my area. Got all kinds of excuses, and half the time I didn't even get a call back. First call on saturday morning to the only supplier in Muskegon that was open, I had acetylene, oxygen, and propane in one trip!!
