Pepper Palace

I had no idea there was another store so close to parking! Love the other locations bit this one is an easy in and out.
Devin made suggestions on spices he recommended along with some sauces I haven't tried. Was nice to chat with him.
I'm sure I'll be back!

We found a nice flavor shopping experience. The store was super clean and the manager was friendly when he greated is when we entered. He told us that ask their products were made by them

Seriously - my favorite part of our trip so far! The two gentlemen that helped us were incredibly personable and kind. We loved trying various sauces and sauce combinations while chatting with the employee behind the counter (I wish I would have gotten his name!). We left with four sauces and are eagerly awaiting our return home so that we can put them to use.

While there, he also recommended some great spots in the Smokies to explore to get a break from the hustle and bustle of a heavy tourist location. Thank you!

Very cool spice shop. They specialize in hit sauces, but also have bbq, wing sauce, seasonings, etc. They have samples of everything, so you can make sure you like it before you buy.

Love hot sauce but haven't shopped at a Pepper Palace in years as I dismissed them as touristy nonsense... I was wrong about that and Devin did a great job giving us suggestions and recommendations based on what we like to cook.

Counters and sample stations were very clean and sauces were resting on ice packs.

They had a great sale going on and I walked out with about 7 bottles of various rubs, sauces, and salsas. Highly recommended!

Devin was amazing! Very knowledgeable on any spice or sauce I asked about. Even convinced me to try a rub that I probably never would have even gave a chance. The place was clean and had a great atmosphere. Right next to downtown flavortown, you can’t miss it!!

Devin was great! So many great hot sauces to try that we have to come back! Pricing was pretty fair but of course more than you’ll pay for some big brand sauce. My girl loved Sweeter Reaper and I loved the Black Rose. Definitely recommend for the spicy fanatics out there!

I've purchased from several different stores, and have my favorite sauces; however, Devin lead me to add a new favorite! Great young man, and salesman. I will be back to this store!

Wish I could say I shared the same positive experience others say they had. Devin was rude, aggressive, and sarcastic from the get-go, for God knows why. I greeted him and complemented the store on the fact that you could try before you buy, and I had been to many other stores where you just had to take a chance on bottles that were $15+ and that the sampling they had was really nice, and he responded so absurdly inappropriately that I thought he might be off his meds or something. I immediately called my husband, who was in the parking lot, to "come in to try some of the stuff", but really, I just wanted him to be there if this guy was going to keep picking on me. My husband immediately picked up on his attitude, so it wasn't just me. When I was ready to check out, I explained that I was trying to give the business a compliment. Devin cut me off mid sentence to say something irrelevant and unrelated to my husband. I have never been disrespected so badly by a stranger, let alone someone in customer service. I've worked in customer service for 15 years, and I've never seen anyone behave this arrogantly even to customers who were extremely rude, and frankly, it was quite shocking. I was so upset my stomach was turned for over an hour. I didn't deserve to be treated that way.

My family and I stopped by today and were all sampling some items. We made our way to the jellies and my sister-in-law asked me if we were allowed to sample them. I saw there was one with the lid sitting loose on top and clean spoons sitting in front, so I assumed we could. Out of nowhere, a VERY rude aggressive worker "Devon" came over and immediately said she would have to pay for it because she opened the jar and should have asked them for a sample. My SIL apologized and said she didn't know. Devon told her didn't need to hear her defence. We were all in disbelieve of the way he acted and spoke to her. How would anyone know that you have to ask for a sample of only the jellies when you could freely sample anything else on the counter, there were spoons in front of it, and no signs saying to ask for samples? In the end, the already opened by someone else sample jar was payed for, immediately tossed in the garbage, and our family put all the items we had intended to purchase back on the shelves. We will not be returning.
