Quack's 43rd Street Bakery

We used Quack's for our wedding cake and desserts and we had THE best experience. Kirsten, the wedding cake consultant, was my favorite vendor that I worked with for our wedding. She is so kind and responsive and came up with creative ways to work with our budget and our servings needs for both the cake and the desserts. Quack's is also the best price you'll find in Austin by FAR for wedding cake. We also really enjoyed the take out wedding cake tasting- we're going to do it just for fun with friends for dessert. You choose the different cake flavors and they give you decent sized pieces to taste along little samples of the frostings to mix and match the flavor profiles, it was very fun. Hire Quacks!!!

I have gone to Quacks for my wedding and birthday cakes. They are quick to respond to emails and reasonably priced given the quality and customer service. I purchased a peanut butter chocolate cake and red velvet cake out of their inventory that were delicious. They worked with me to make a custom banana pudding cake that was beautifully layered.

For our wedding we had 2 cake flavors, vanilla cake with raspberry buttercream and a chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting. They delivered the cake, set it up on the stands, and placed the toppers for us!

For our 1 year anniversary, instead of freezing a piece of cake from our wedding day, we decided to place an order with Quacks. Turns out, we got a free 6” cake for our first anniversary! We’ll definitely be back

i accidentally found the bakery looking for doughnuts. but when i tell you it has the best mistake i could have ever made. i ordered a few cookies and a slice of coconut pie. let’s say i didn’t even make it out the parking lot . my new favorite Bakery.

The croissants at this place are PHENOMENAL. I tried them for the first time last weekend and went back again this weekend! I am telling anyone who will listen that they need to try these things.

Our family's favorite bakery! The pastries are delicious, and they make the most beautiful iced cookies, which we enjoy for special occasions. They know what they're doing... Quacks is a 40-year-old Austin classic for a reason!!

This place is awesome!! Their products are super fresh and delish!! Coconut creme pie has fresh strips of coconut 🥥, chocolate eclair was super flaky with lots of creme filling, pecan cheesecake was delectable 😋, banana bread was awesome, and blueberry Danish was to die for! We are visiting and stopped in for a snack but couldn't resist trying some of their pastries. We will be back!!!

OMG their cupcakes 🧁  are phenomenal! And I love that they are served cold. Yes! This is how you do it!  And better than that, they even have vegan ones.
This location has seating outside and is so easy to access, with easy parking options in the area.
As a bonus, they are stellar members of Austin because they are part of Too Good to Go. 🌟🌟🌟
Skip those other, inferior cupcake offerings in Austin--you must come here!

The pastries are fresh and incredibly delicious, the line moves fast, and the prices are still very reasonable in the current inflationary period. Will definitely come back here next time I’m in Austin — recommended!

Best baked goods in Austin! I love this place. Their drip coffee is pretty great too.

Ordered a graduation cake for my son and his gf and even though they both only wanted white lol (die hard chocolate fan here), the cake was amazing! The buttercream was so light and airy- not at all heavy or greasy tasting like others I’ve had elsewhere. The team was also fantastic. Highly recommend!

Very tasty pastries and good coffee. I appreciated the attentive service by the cashiers. Parked in the lot next to it. Payment is convenient as well and they accept major credit cards and Apple Pay.

Been coming here for over a decade. Superb customer service and decadent treats. Good vibes, too!

Service is not amazing but the food quality and prices are. Really solid coffee (cheapest cold brew in the area) and there's always a few interesting seasonal flavors. I'm a big fan of the cookies and savory pastries but I've only tried the cakes a couple times so I can't speak to those. There's plenty of variety with the sweet pastries and the shortbread cookies have fun designs. As of July 2022 there's no indoor seating which kinda sucks in the summer but the tables outside at least have shade umbrellas and they do a good enough job with packaging the takeout.

The pastries here are SO good. I bought three boxes of pastries for a work event and the ladies who helped were very nice, even helped carry the boxes out to my car. $70 for three loaded boxes of well made pastries, well worth the cost.

I snuck a sun dried tomato croissant for myself. So delicious, crispy, flaky, and chock-full of sun dried tomatoes. Definitely not something you want to order if you're worried about keeping your clothes clean!

Quacks is an amazing bakery. One of the few places in Austin that makes a good vegan dessert. They have amazing regular cookies, great croissant. This is the place I use to give gifts to people because their sweets and treats are delicious. My favorite this moment is the Vegan Chocolate truffle with mint. My favorite non-Vegan item is the chocolate ganache cupcake.

Bakery is lovely and the staff is always friendly. Whoever the baker is, is very talented. Their bread always looks delicious and fresh.

Another place closed down not far from there and made wonderful pies. I then discovered Quack's doing a Google search and have been coming to try out the various pies, including their blueberry, Apple cinnamon, strawberry rhubarb… You get the idea :-) Its also a great neighborhood place to hang out and have a cuppa coffee.

Amazing flavours and cake decorations .. we always order from this place for any occasions .. game of thrones was the most recent one where we sent a google picture and she baked/decorated it to perfection.. love this place :)

love this place! very sad they discontinued their choco chips gluten-free cookies :( the GF lemon ameretti is amazing though.
