Old Firehouse Books

I love bookshops and this one is a gem in Fort Collins. I feel very welcomed and there is a good selection of books! I've always found a book to delve into or a specific book I wanted to read from fiction to sci-fi to nature. And I feel like I can peruse the shelves comfortably thanks to the staff. Bonus: there is an exceptional tea shop connected to Firehouse Books! I love the Fort Collins tea blend paired with a good book.💜

BEST Customer Service: I have been a customer of this store for a little over a year. They know me by what I order and read. Mostly Patterson and Connelly. I had recently placed an order and called today to check on it. The young lady assisting me found my order and let me know it was ready to pick up. I relayed that I had paid to have the order mailed and inquired how long that usually takes. (I finished my last book last night.)She asked for my address and said that she could deliver the order later today. Now that my friends is customer service at its best. Five stars is not enough!!!!!

We had the pleasure of visiting the store for the first time on Pride night last week. What a wonderful place! My four year old and I went with some friends and found some great LGBTQ representative books. Friendly and helpful employees as well. We definitely will go back!

Our local bookstore. Great selection, friendly, knowledgeable staff. We love taking our little guy there to pick out new kids books from their extensive, well-organized children's books section. I do not miss ordering books from Amazon in the slightest, they can get whatever I want within a few days

Best bookstore in Colorado! The staff is so friendly, the selection is amazing, and the atmosphere is so well done. They treat their local authors extremely well and are a cornerstone of this community. Go check them out if you're looking for an outstanding indie bookstore experience in the heart of Old Town!

I love this locally owned book store. The have new and used books. Staff is very friendly. If they don’t have a book in stock they will order anything you need. I love coming here, taking my time to wander around and usually discovering a new book.

Fantastic independent book store. The staff are voracious readers. And can recommend multiple books in multiple genres. Great selection. Perfect spot for supporting local businesses.

Wonderful little bookstore that makes good use of their limited space. A good selection in particular of classic literature, sci-fi, and fantasy. Also quite lgbt friendly. I was able to pick up a couple Terry Pratchett novels I hadn't seen in stores before.

Had every book I was looking for (and hadn't yet found elsewhere), plus the store was cute and the staff is adorable/nice! Can't wait to go back!

Despite people being Karens about a surcharge for using your credit card (and there are MULTIPLE signs that indicate this), this store is INCREDIBLE.

They’re incredibly accommodating, kind, LGBTQIA+ friendly, POC friendly, and above all else, just an awesome store that does amazing events (be sure to check them out :)) to help bring the community together. Don’t listen to these negative reviews, they’re just silly people wanting to pick a fight with customer service employees.

Tons of options for books, and they're all well sorted. Staff is very friendly. Books are slightly higher priced. Then you'd find that big box or online retail, but it's not a crazy difference. It's definitely worth supporting the locql businesses.

The bookstore shares a wall with a tea shop, and there's a doorway that connects both of them. Grabbing tea and walking around the bookstore was definitely fun.

Such a wonderful store! I love taking my friends here when they come to visit. The employees are very kind and helpful and I always leave with something new. There's a great variety of books, notebooks, calendars, etc. The location is awesome, too! Go support a great local business!
