Essex County Library - Amherstburg Branch

Attended one of their March break events with my kids. The children's area is a nice size and layout, and they had lots of fun doing their activity and listening to the books. The librarian seemed really engaged with them and like she was enjoying herself which was really nice to see.

I love the children's section. My boys always want to visit the library. They have a great selection and are always very helpful!

I work at a nursing home and the staff would go out of their way to bring books for the seniors. We are blessed to have this in our small town.

Fantastic library and with the elevator it is very accessible.

Very helpful staff . And the library is clean and well organized.

The people.

The library is small and pleasant looking. Unfortunately, there is a loud squeaking noise that comes from the ceiling. It radiates throughout the entire library, and makes it impossible to concentrate on reading or studying. The librarian behind the desk is unable to speak at an appropriate volume on personal phone calls. These two factors made it very difficult to study or read at the library. Since reading and studying are the main functions of a library I found the experience at this one unpleasant.
