Walmart Neighborhood Market

Good afternoon. I wanted to post this to the corporate site, but it is not secure: - ( I want to express my gratitude to Mrs. Peggy, Mariah, Nick, and Mr. Charles. Every time I’ve visited this store, they always assisted me, they went above and beyond and they’re always so kind truly...I also enjoy our wonderful brief conversations. They truly value customers and my presence as I value theirs. I’m a disabled veteran and sometimes there are problems with my hands, Mrs. Peggy always offers to help, and she does. I am so grateful, not only for her kindness but during the winter months when I have trouble, she helped me, and I felt less alone and seen…thank you. Nick was so kind to get me what I needed, and I didn’t want to trouble him at all. I came down his aisle, he saw all the items in my basket and hands. I was going to add more, and he quickly helped me. He ran for a proper cart…thank you. Mariah is always so sweet, approachable, and always willing to help in any way. She is very sweet. Mr. Charles is super friendly, helpful always up for a great quick chat while helping…sometimes the conversation means more than you realize.

They do some much more each visit. They make my purchasing experience the very best. I really like our neighborhood Walmart because of them. Your employees are truly the backbone of the organization. I have many great shopping experiences there. Thank you.

Today I had the pleasure of working with another wonderful 'WallyWorld' employee. I forgot to mention her in my last review, but today I bumped into her and I saw her name tag. Every time I visit Walmart the staff really is family-oriented. They greet you with smiles, laugh, joke, work, and are personable. They're very professional. Aaliyah is another example of walmart employing great and professional personal. She never hesitates to stop, say hello and help. She has the brightest smile and is very warm and caring. This makes me feels so much better as a disabled veteran who is new to this area. I didn't feel he best today, but she flashed that remarkable smile and her kindness immediately brought me back. The sunshined brighter. Thank you walmart for hiring her, I always see her and other employees working so hard or asking if I need a hand. She reminded me of what's important. Acts of kindness, quality service, support and community. Thanks again.

This is *not* a supercenter, but it's got plenty of options. It majors on grocery items, but carries other miscellaneous products too, as other grocery supermarkets do. The facility is clean and well laid out. Plenty of parking. Decent prices.

Pretty well equipped! And what a great location! Plenty of parking, Clean. . . Gas station nearby, and SPA stuff.
Hope this little lake here stays year round.

A very typical walmart. Being on a vacation is expensive, but walmart is a real blessing! We brought along our little pup for the trip and they had a wide selection of dog food! Would also like to say that they had a particularly good selection of nuts and milk. I would say this is a good walmart. Thank you, and stay hustlin' chico!

Absolutely love this Walmart. I'm from Wilmington NC But I love going here when I visit my dad. It's more like a regular supermarket and their very homey not like big wig supercenter Walmart! Here's my emotional support kitty, Serenity! Maybe I'll find out if she's allowed inside on a leash, which she's great on!

A surprisingly quality store! Marvelous selection and stocking even in the area's off season. I was a big fan of the employee attentiveness.

Great little market Walmart. Associates are very nice. Store is very cold (bring a jacket!). All self check out.

I'm a local that frequently shops at the Surf City location. It can get very hectic there and many employees are like robots shopping for other people's orders. However a gentleman named Brian seems to be there all the time. He is always smiling, personable, and helpful. Hope he is given the proper recognition. He's a valuable asset.

I love the fact that Walmart stays open an hour later than everyone else! I just wish this was a series 7 store because I’m sure they would do the business as packed as this stuff is and as great as there online site is.i really like how the seem to have a lot of younger kids working for them giving them a first chance at a good decent paying job. And now that all of the registers are do it yourself there really isn’t ever any wait times anymore. I would totally recommend this store to anyone!

I did a shout out on my fb for the young person helping tonight. This person walked out of the store to help an elderly person to their car load the items and bring the electric car back. They talked to customer and waved they goodbye. I don’t know their name but they had short hair and wore a yellow vest. All of the workers were very nice and helpful.

We ordered groceries ahead of time from both this Walmart Grocery and Harris Teeter. The service at Walmart was super fast and friendly, the items were a LOT less expensive and the overall experience was flawless. Everything we wanted was in stock. HT, on the other hand, was poor service that took 20 minutes! The employee brought out our carts and left. We loaded everything in our car. Our milk had a hole in it from being smashed, presumably in their refrigerator with other items. Not even a “thank you!” Bravo to Walmart.

Update- I love this store for the awesome staff, clean aisles and fresh products. I do wish they carried some items as my previous review stated but I stop in a couple of times a month now and do so by choice, and always leave a happy customer!

Very clean and orderly! Very nice employees, it's all groceries and toiletries, so no need to end up buying stuff you didn't intend to. I love the scaled down version of this compared to the super store I'm use to. Everything is ready to find and nothing out of place or thrown around. Way better than food Lion.

Good selections

Love having this Walmart in Surf City. Big enough to have what I usually need at great prices, but not to big to overwhelm. Love that is all self checkout, and so easy to use to compare to other Walmarts and other stores. Easy to use bags!

Never to busy. Only had to wait in line once and that was right before Thanksgiving. This Walmart only provides self checkout, which I don't mind, but some do. They do have staff at checkout o help you checkout if you would like.

Always in stock. Staff is always smiling and willing to help. The pharmacy is the best, they go above and beyond to help in any way they can. This year they have a good veriority of beach needs as well. I never have a bad experience when I visit this store.

This is a great little market that is conveniently located for tourists and locals alike! It’s got all the essentials you’d need for a week at the beach or a last minute recipe plan. There’s also a full pharmacy with a drive-thru!
