If you are looking for a high end meal, drinks and intimate atmosphere for date night, anniversary or other special event. I highly recommend On The Edge! Every time I have eaten here the food has been AMAZING! The staff is always so friendly, welcoming and efficient. The Chef Dee is PHENOMENAL at creating her menus with quality ingredients and you can tell she puts thought into each dish.
This restaurant serves water to each guest along with plated bread and custom flavored oil, each plate comes out "family style" meaning: each dish serves up to 4 people, and each guest gets to plate exactly what they want to eat. The wine selection is extraordinary, she goes out of her way to find unique flavors to pair with her menu items.

I have not had anything I did not love come from this kitchen! ENJOY!!

We really enjoy the food and the experience. It's not a big place, so it can get noisy, but we felt it was worth it. The prices are great and the food is very tasty. The service was also very good and everyone was incredibly friendly. It's a good idea to make a reservation. A group of four is perfect for the servings, but as a couple it would also be fun. We will be returning very soon.

We had such an amazing dinner experience! The restaurant is right on the water with a direct view of the bridge. Our server was very attentive and even made us some DELICIOUS cocktails because the bartender wasn’t there. I’m picky when it comes to my drinks, but my Old Fashioned was very well made and everyone else at the table was impressed with their drinks as well.

The food was incredible- we had the salad (a *must have* that they always have on the menu), meatballs, patatas bravas, shrimp, and frog legs. You could hear all around the restaurant every table saying, “WOW! This is the best ____ I’ve ever had!”
The chef is top notch and has curated 27 different dishes that she switches in and out weekly.
Overall, a very impressive establishment and we will definitely be returning!

Had a wonderful dinner here today! Beautiful food, view, and plates made to share. The venue included fresh flowers on each table with a panoramic window of the Lake Charlevoix and raising bridge. Classy music matched the atmosphere. Kind staff with a skilled and personable chef. Service was timely and attentive. A rotating menu made with high quality ingredients offers new options for each visit!

My husband and I came here on a whim and ended up having the most incredible meal and great conversation with Chef Dee. It felt like our own private chef dinner as we sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen talking and taking our time selecting 3 great dishes. We ended up staying for nearly 3 hours chatting away and enjoying a nice bottle of red. Don’t pass on the lamb!!

Excellent everything! We were there for the couple's dinner with comedy entertainers afterward. The evening was very special, the food was outstandingly delicious, and the service was excellent. Definitely have been recommending edge to all our friends.

Purely outstanding menu options. Every item ordered was beyond my expectations, the service was superb, and the view was stunning.

This is the perfect spot to watch the boats going in and out of the canal, while enjoying a cocktail and fantastic food. The menu changes weekly, but while we were there we had the salad, lamb chops, and whitefish cakes. Everything was delicious and very creative! Highly recommend.

Awesome food, every time. Every seat in the house has a gorgeous view. The Capone cocktail is the best, London broil is *chefs kiss*. Rotating menu keeps everything fun and fresh, open kitchen for dinner and a show, live music on Mondays. This is exactly what Northern Michigan needs, highly recommend!

Darlene is AMAZING to work with!! All of the food that she currates is amazing and all of our guests complimented both the different tapas, the selection, the drinks, and chocolates that her daughter made. We hosted our rehearsal dinner in this space with ~30 guests (while you could fit a few more) and it was honestly the most perfect set-up! Darlene and her team were so awesome to work with and they ensured that every single one of the guests there that night walked out feeling full with amazing food and that they had a stunning time. I personally am gluten free and she ensured that there were plenty of options to eat which made it specatular experience for guests with different allergies. To top it all off the location is stunning overlooking the water so that was the icing on the cake to know people coming from out of town and the state got to experience what a Northern Michigan summer looks like overlooking the stunning lake views. Highly recommend both for dining for a dinner out or for an event in the Charlevoix/Northern Michigan area!!

What a great find on our trip to Charlevoix for sky diving. Found the restaurant on google reviews and their website and had to try it. So glad we did! Awesome little restaurant and phenomenal service. Appreciated not only the great service and attitude from owner Chef Darlene and server Laura, but the excellent food was 5 out of 5 top tapas quality food. Food was reasonably priced and for the quality and service was well worth it. Chef Darlene’s menu had the perfect amount of tapas options and normal tapas portions. Tried the house salad, ahi tuna taco, and the seared lamb lollipops. Couldn’t have been tastier! Will definitely be back and telling eg coworkers, family and friends about the great experience and food!

OK, so this place was a well hidden gem. They had the best seating overlooking the river and the drawbridge. The service was fantastic Even the bartender came over and asked us how everything was and if we needed anything. Now let’s talk about the food. OMG The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish we had was absolutely gourmet. Then the bill came. Like WHAT? Two of the entrées fresh gourmet bread bottle of Cabernet and the bill was under $60. What?? Every place we ate earlier in the week in downtown Charlevoix was over 100 bucks. Don’t miss out this place is amazing I would give it 10 stars if I could. ❤❤

Wow, what can I say! THE best food in the region. Amazing flavors and tastes! So glad that the chef opened this location after the Horton Bay General store stopped serving tapas! This was my birthday dinner and I will be back here as often as a special treat to be had. All of the other dining establishments in the area, you have been challenged, the gauntlet has been thrown down, good luck!

Literally some of the best food I’ve ever had. Can’t stop thinking about it. Chef Kline was incredible and so was the server! Highly recommend if you like a fine dining experience and elite level made from scratch food. Fantastic views too!

We were visiting from out of town and decided to try on the Edge since we love tapas.

The meal was excellent. We had the pajamas bravas, calamari, lamb lollipops, and the margaritas pie.

With the exception of the calamari frites, everything was fantastic. The service was also very nice.

If we are ever in charlevoix again, we will come back.

Best food in Charlevoix, probably in North Michigan. This is a new restaurant and a golden find. Go eat there right now. Elevated menu, fresh food, organic. The chef is an absolute delight. Don’t even think twice just go up there right now. At the time of this review they didn’t have a liquor license but we’re working on it

10/10 could not recommend on the eDge more!!! The food was phenomenal, and the service and ambience overlooking the water were just amazing! We loved the salad, patatas bravas, and lamb :) This is a must dine place in Charlevoix!
