Hit N Run Sports Cards

Preparing to move here in Virginia, I found a big shoe box of appx 1000 baseball and football cards in my closet that I’d just forgotten about. They were from 1968-1972. Lots of big names — Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Joe Namath, etc., etc.

I dug in. Did my homework. Looked at PSA, eBay and countless other sites. At a quick glance it looked like a huge windfall — cards that, if they were in perfect condition, would yield huge money. But they were not mint. They were, 95% of them, in the lowest range of condition.

And then I did more research. And then I found Eric and his team at Hit N Run. They validated all of the research I’d done. They gave me a free education beyond what I’d learned. Yes, I had big name superstar cards, but the condition of the cards was lousy.

These folks are total pros. They’re salt of the earth and honest to the core. They bought my 1000 cards for a good price. Didn’t talk down to me.

I wasn't aware of this place until my daughter and I got hooked on collecting pokemon cards so found out we had a local card shop in our backyard! The gentleman that was working was quick to answer every question I had and was patient while I was having issues with a gift card on my end and this was 5 minutes before they were to close and as someone that has worked retail I know the feeling.

While I'm not really familiar with sports cards they seem to have a good selection there and I have visited all the big box stores and a couple other local game/hobby stores and this place had the largest stock of sealed Pokemon cards by far.

Most of the prices were pretty fair on the sealed product. The daughter and I are hooked on the Pokemon 151 set so hoping prices come down a bit on those products but I'm nitpicking as the prices are certainly fair and the other pokemon sets including the new Paradox Rift were at really good prices! Maybe once I become a regular possibly there is a little wiggle room on those 151 prices 😀 fingers crossed haha.

I didn't want to hold the gentleman from closing and getting out of there but saw a ton of binders full of cards so I'm excited to come back really soon it might even be today.

I'll have to find a part time job to support my incoming Hit n Run and pokemon spending problem lol.

Enough of my rambling though. Bottom line if you're looking for sports or pokemon cards this is absolutely without the doubt the place to go and I can't wait to tell friends and family to check this place out asap! Keep up the awesome work you just earned a new regular!

I love this shop, and I haven't even stepped foot in it.....Yet. Be Eric and his team are a pleasure to work with, and are very accommodating. I ways enjoy receiving packages from the shop; that I completely forget about half the time. It makes for a fun surprise in my mail. Mail day!!! Thank you for being around still! We seem to only have one hobby shop in my area, and it's wonderful to have; but sad that it's the only one in town.

I joined in the summer of 2020. I had never done much online shopping, or had pay pal. They helped me through every part. Were responsive to direct messages, and still are. Cards are shipped promptly and professionally. Have tried about five different auction sites now. They are one of 2 that ive stuck with. Eric and his staff are amazing! Super knowledgeable and we always get a great deal when we go see them! My kids love looking at the Pokémon cards he has in his store.

I buy through Facebook, they offer a ton of cards for auction. It's a great assortment from lower level base cards to higher end stuff. Once you pay your invoice (which is really simple) your cards are shipped out quick. These guys put in the work and it really shows. I appreciate you guys all the way from Maine.

I recently got into sports cards and a friend recommended I join his Facebook group “hitnrun breaks and pack wars”. Have yet to visit the store in person, but have frequently purchased his Wednesday night live rips and cheap mixers in recent weeks. The customer service has always been great, any questions or concerns I’ve had have been addressed in a fair and timely manner. Awesome card selections! Same/next day shipping on your purchases. I think some people up bids sometimes but other than that, great site for purchasing cards.
