Kuku's Beauty Supply

My experience the first time coming into Kuku's, was transformative. I came in just to get some hair oil and shampoo, and left with a buddy😁. I don't know how it happened, but Kuku and I ended up discussing everything about life, and I was hooked. It's the only place I consider getting products from for hair, (unless I happen to be at a pop-up and I want to support a new start-up entrepreneur). Kuku is SO cool and down to earth. She is also great for our community, as she provides a plethora of services to those in need and vulnerable communities. Just go by there and talk to her. You'll leave with a new buddy too☺

As a first time customer, I loved the positive feel of the store and owner. I went in for press on nails (great, unique selection) and grabbed a few other things I needed

First time customer and was highly pleased! They have a wide variety of items to choose from. Not to mention some jewelry that is handmade by the owner, Kuku! The customer service is outstanding! Owner came out to meet me! Also, a special shout out to Shaniya, who was especially helpful and kind to me!

This store has amazing and professional customer service. The owner, Kuku was respectable and helpful from the moment I walked in and extremely accommodating. The store is laid out neatly and easy to maneuver. When they didn’t have enough packs of the hair I wanted, she immediately made a call to her other store and went out of her way to make sure I got the hair with no questions ashes. I can’t thank her enough and would highly recommend!

I was buying hair for braiding. An associate helped me identify the number that matched my natural hair and a good detangler. Both worked great. She was honest that some features listed advertised on the hair packages were just gimmicks. I will be going back. Suggestion to carry #3 color hair.

I love the excellent customer service at KuKu’s Beauty Supply. My very first visit and experience was with young adult staff, who greeted me with vibrant smiles on their faces and willingness to help me. I had called the supply store looking for a particular product and the telephone call experience was the the same, welcoming and inviting.

The products are reasonably affordable priced. It’s wonderful to see African American owned businesses, especially beauty supply stores in the community in which I live and can walk to.

Please neighbors and hair salon owners let’s support Kuku’s by making purchases, attending the “Pop Up” events held monthly, and welcome the business in our community with a friendly gesture.

Best customer service I have ever experienced at a beauty supply store. Kuku is very passionate about her business has everything you could need, and if not she is determined to get it. I always leave the store feeling welcomed and appreciated. I love the owners energy and how she displays other local African American small business in the community. I am a customer for life.

Let me tell you about Kuku's Beauty Supply! The owner is wonderful and her customer service is OUTSTANDING! This woman is so personable. She does not talk you into something you don't need. If you want something that she does not have, she'll help you find it. I had to visit/call a few times before leaving a review. Her customer service has been consistent. I'll go back over and over again. She's a gem!

Kuku helped me with not only finding the right kind of hair for the look I wanted to achieve but also helped me with the installation and supplies for this look! I found everything from my brush to hair to beading and crotchet tools! Her wide range of items , makes this the perfect place to get yourself all the way in tact from head to toe with outfits to feel your best and upkeep materials to keep feeling yourself.
She even helped me install during the beginning of this process, since it was my first time doing my own hair like this, using her awesome hair product line!

I absolutely love this beauty supply store. This location has a lot options to choose from and amazing customer service. Rose also has beautiful waist beads and always a pleasure to see.

Rose, the owner, has to be one of the most personable and compassionate people that I've met in a while. She was so patient and sweet in helping me to get sorted out in choosing the hair that I wanted and she made me feel very at home in her store. She also has a great selection and features a ton of products from other local Black vendors that folks should support.

Kuku's will definitely be my go-to beauty supply, just based on Rose's demeanor alone! I always try to support Black women-owned businesses on principle, but Kuku's gets a gold star from me for their customer service

Kuku was so nice to me. She helped me a lot even when I was very indecisive about the products I needed, she was very patient with me and helped me look up some products online to know which brand best works for me. Her prices too are very reasonable too, unlike other beauty supplies that I have been to. Even when it was past her closing time, she still let me in and waited patiently while I shopped with my sister. This is my honest review and I will be definitely coming back to shop with my friends.

Kukus Beauty supply is my favorite neighborhood Beauty supply store. Almost every time I walk in, I get a warm welcome from Kuku herself. This is definitely not your average beauty supply store because it has an array of hair and skin care products - What is most unique about this store is the inclusion of Afro-centric items like waist beads, African inspired head wraps and her hand made Shea butter products are amazing! Oh and the crochet passion twists I always get from there.

I couldn't imagine how any business can have a 5 star rating after so many reviews but I now understand why. Kuku was wonderful and I'm so glad I drove the 40 minutes to visit her shop. Loved meeting and chatting with her. Got what I needed for my hair plus a smile on my face.
