Stunning meal. Don’t miss this place on your next visit to St. Augustine! From the ambiance (historic house, lovely French music, beautiful wallpaper and seating) to the service (our server Josh was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, and the dining room manager checked in on us), to the FOOD. A simple Bibb lettuce salad had the most delicious vinaigrette I’ve had in a long time. Simple yet scrumptious salted French butter and warm homemade baguette. The best croque madame I’ve ever had. My dad loved his lobster bisque, my mom loved her duck, and my husband couldn’t believe the wine list. So happy we were able to have a meal here on our vacation!

Took my husband for his Fathers Dinner and it was phenomenal! I can’t say enough at how amazing our dinner was and how lovely and romantic it is sitting on the front porch, having a glass of wine and listening to the music in the back ground. It honestly felt like we were in a movie 🥰 Matthieu Landillon is an amazing Chef!

5 STAR EXPERIENCE! I had my birthday dinner there on May 15th, 2024. What an experience recommend by our local friends. Our Server, Claudio, was amazing. He articulated everything so well. Paul, the GM, took time to talk with us and give us a lil history with kindness and like our visit mattered to him. The food was spectacular. The Filet did not need a knife and my Branzino was absolutely exquisite. The Orange dessert was magical. In presentation and taste. They gave myself and husband a one of a kind experience for the books. Thank you.

This is a lovely Restaurant in St Augustine. It’s in a renovated home with a beautiful wrap around porch and tasteful interior decor.

We started with the escargot and beet goat cheese terrine. The escargot were prepared nicely, and in a nice garlic butter. They add a little Pernod to liven it up a bit but it was pretty much as you would expect. The French baguette was amazing to complement. The Terrine was very heavy of the goat cheese and it overpowered the beets a little. It was good but I would have liked more beet flavor.

The Vertes Salad (bib lettuce with dressing) was a lot of lettuce (which I love). The vinaigrette was a bit too vinegary but with salt it was better. The Chèvre Salad was nice, and the fried goat cheese was a nice size and flavorful.

For entrees, we got the hamburger, the filet and the chicken. The filet was a perfect medium rare. It came with a cognac pepper sauce which I got on the side. I’m glad I did - it really didn’t add much to the steak in my opinion, but it was good with any of the potatoes! The chicken was well prepared and not dry, and instead of the mushroom sauce, we got the Buerre Blanc, which took the mashed potatoes to a whole new level - highly recommend! Finally, the burger was the hit of the night! The croissant bun was nothing short of extraordinary. The burger itself was full of juice and flavor- definitely the best bite!

It’s pricey, but the service was excellent and we did not have room for dessert!

What a fabulous experience!! Highly recommend.
I have not been to many places and say "wow" after the first bite.
We started off with the escargot and the Patte flight (Chicken, pork & mushroom). Our entrees were the Sole Meunière and Filet Aux Poivre which were absolutely flavorful and amazing. Steak was perfectly cooked. We ended with the Lavendar Creme Brule and macaroons which were also fantastic. Our Waitress Margaret was very patient and knowledgeable in helping with suggestions and answering questions. Paul the manager greeted us and made sure we were happy with everything. What a great way to celebrate my birthday!

La Nouvelle Bistro is a hidden culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment you step through the doors, the elegant decor sets the stage for a delightful journey through French cuisine.

The appetizers alone are worth the visit, with standout dishes like the succulent escargot and the indulgent crab cake appetizer that tantalize the taste buds. Paired with a selection from their impressive wine list, it's the perfect start to an exceptional meal.

For the main course, the poulet roti steals the show with its perfectly roasted chicken, bursting with flavor and accompanied by delectable sides that elevate the dish to new heights. Each bite is a symphony of taste that leaves a lasting impression.

Save room for dessert because La Nouvelle Bistro's offerings are not to be missed. The blueberry tart is a sweet finale that delights with its fresh, fruity flavors, while the lavender cream brulee is a decadent treat that transports you to Provence with every spoonful.

Throughout the meal, the service provided by Margaret Z shines brightly, adding an extra layer of warmth and hospitality to the experience. Her attentive care ensures that every guest feels like a VIP, making the dining experience truly exceptional.

Whether you're looking for a leisurely lunch or a romantic dinner, La Nouvelle Bistro is the perfect destination. With its exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and beautiful ambiance, it's a culinary journey you won't soon forget. Highly recommended for any occasion.

Tucked away on a quiet street in Lincolnville, La Nouvelle offers authentic french bistro cuisine in a beautiful historic building. With an extensive French wine list, excellent service, and perfectly executed bistro classics, La Nouvelle is worth a visit for lunch or dinner. The servers and managers are kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

The ambiance was the first thing that grabbed my attention. Definitely perfect for a date night. The courtyard patio is lovely and the perfect spot to enjoy a good bottle of wine and food with friends.
I enjoyed the French onion soup and plump escargot that was served with a perfect baguette to capture all the deliciousness left behind. I ended my meal with the L’orange from the dessert menu, only mistake I made was to share. Definitely will be ordering again and not sharing it was such an exquisite masterpiece and delight to the palate. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Looking forward to returning soon maybe for lunch on the veranda or courtyard with some friends.

This little gem of a French restaurant sits on a quiet street in Saint Augustine. The offerings are varied and the food wonderful. This, along with excellent service -a nod to Devon- made our visit memorable. A return trip for sure!

Obsessed with this new restaurant in town! Finally a French onion soup done right! We also had the filet and Royale with cheese… we were in heaven! Pleasantly surprised with the price point considering the cost of food these days. The location sets all the right vibes, the wine list is next level and the desserts were uniquely deliciously. Oh and I can’t forget the bread basket- 3 mini fresh & hot french loafs with homemade butter & a turnip -ya I know, not what you would expect but game changer!

Lovely dining experience at La Nouvelle! This was my second visit to this new Lincolnville gem, and the plates were just as delicious as the first. Service is top-notch, side-street veranda dining alongside the palms is wonderful. Extensive wine menu to boot. Have indulged in the escargot [not pictured], foie gras, royale with cheese, and warm chevre salad, and loved every bite. Stunning little addition to the St. Augustine dining scene.

We didn’t let the rain stop us this weekend. I adore French food and this meal took me back to a wonderful day in Paris. It was a crisp evening last night with a steady rain, but the heat lamps and extended awnings allowed us to still dine Al fresco. The manager picked a perfect Sancerre for us to enjoy while we enjoyed everything we ordered. I grew up in a town known for crab cakes and it makes we sad when they are made with too much filler. These are the polar opposite— 98% crab meat, seasoned perfectly. The French onion soup was savory just the way I like it. The poulet (chicken) and fries reminded me of a bistro I sat in Paris one snowy afternoon, it took me back. The branzino was light and cooked perfectly with the haricot verts and hint of dill. And I don’t often eat dessert but when I do I crack for a traditional crème brûlée and I think I ate the whole thing (sorry Steph!) thank you to the whole team at La Nouvelle, you’ve certainly won me over! C’est magnifique!

Enjoyed our brunch experience so much! I was so hoping that whatever replaced Preserved would be as wonderful or better; it’s the latter. We dined al fresco on the front porch. To me what sets them apart is their attention to detail…from the amazing wine and cocktail list to the daily specials, down to the amazing L’orange dessert. Began with a Kir Royale and lobster bisque, which is rich and delicious with meaty juicy chunks of lobster. My husband had the burger and said it was delicious with perfect pomme frites! My FIL enjoyed the Quiche Lorraine and I ate every bit of my Salade Lyonnaise! At the recommendation of the server, we ordered the L’orange for dessert and it is the perfect Florida ending to a delicious meal!

My husband and I just had an absolutely delicious Valentine’s night dinner at La Nouvelle! We left with full bellies and complete satisfaction! Jessie was a wonderful server that helped make our night complete! She helped advise us on menu choices, even though it seemed like there wasn’t a wrong choice, and was attentive and present throughout our meal. We started with the Steak Tartare and had the Royale with Cheese and Mustard Crusted Pork Loin for entrees. Each was cooked perfectly as well as great portion sizes. We finished with the raspberry macaroon special dessert! We are excited for such a delicious addition to our town and can’t wait to go back and try everything else! Thank you!

Everything about the meal was exceptional... From the wine to the perfectly cooked and seasoned steak au poivre to the creme brulee. Perfect. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in north Florida and i can honestly say equal to the best French cuisine I've had in France.

Food:

PETITE BAGUETTES 10/10
butter salted 10
Came with radishes and french butter. You will be able to taste the difference and appearance. Wish there was more butter with the three baguettes.

LYONNAISE SALAD 8/10
poached egg. bacon lardons, brioche croutons, vinaigrette 10
I really liked the overall balance of the salad. Wife would have liked more dressing and a touch more salt. The poached egg was done perfectly. The lardons really added to it. I wouldn't have denied more of them.

DUCK CONFIT 10/10
crispy duck leg. red wine braised grapes, duck fat potatoes, frisée 38
Substituted for puree potatoes and would do it again. I really loved this dish. No gamey flavor just a nice rich taste. I think having them with the puree potatoes is a must and should probably be the intentional design. The grapes and sauce were perfect with the potatoes and duck.

FILET AUX POIVRES 8/10
filet mignon, cognac pepper sauce, duck fat potatoes 42
The steak was done to a medium rare but closer to a medium. I would have preferred closer to rare. The sauce helped me over look the cook of the steak and paired well. I liked the duck fat fingerling potatoes but I think I would have preferred the puree with this too. Wife liked her dish and agreed with 8 out of 10.

The meal overall was very pleasing. I wanted dessert but wife was full so next time. Paul, the manager, came over to ensure we were helped and had the correct table settings etc. Claudio our server was excellent. Great service. If you are a local ensure you are pit on the list for quick in and out service during peak times. I assume this might be the express method and not as fancy. I'm goid with that since I do want to come back and try other entrees and also their burger as a quick bite.

The restaurant is where the old preserved restaurant was. A Victorian era home with a wrap around porch. The inside was a little fancier and quieter. We sat on the porch and enjoyed ourselves but the tour buses and trolleys might be annoying if you wanted an intimate dinner.

All in all a great time and will be back.

This place is beyond superb. Stopped in for a drink at the bar and almost immediately made a reservation (recommended, even for a Wednesday) for the next night. The GM Paul is really good at showing you hospitality; and if you think Paul is really good then ask for Jesse as your server. You will then witness greatness. And the menu, everything is wonderful. Have you ever dined at an establishment where you know you're full, but the dishes are so fantastic you just cannot stop eating? If not, call in your reservation NOW! Kind of sorry I'm not a guy that takes food pictures, would have so much more to say...

Had a wonderful birthday dinner tonight. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. the menu has a good choice of varied French meals. We had the escargot, which was excellent. My husband had the steak frite, which he said was delicious and tender. I had the fish almondine which was cooked perfectly. I would’ve liked a few more almonds on it but otherwise it was perfect.. The wine prices are a little extreme.
My choice of Chardonnay was $14 a glass or around $100 a bottle. I think they should get a midprice Chardonnay. Our bill for 2 was Was $200 (2 beers & 2wines). I think this may be my new favorite restaurant over La collage!

Wonderful food ! VERY authentic! We loved everything! My husband loved us Duck Confit. My Quiche Lorraine was not my favorite. But our other dishes were great! The profiteroles were awesome! I mentioned it was my hubby's birthday. He brought the dessert with a candle and a sip of sparkling wine. Such a nice touch! We will be back. We live in St. Augustine and are very happy to have a great French Restaurant to go to again

La Nouvelle made us so happy! I was worried about sitting on the porch but we were delighted Sarah squeezed us in since all of the reservations were taken.

Now about the yummy food! The French onion soup kicked things off just right – seriously flavorful and comforting. The Croque Monsieur was like a warm hug in sandwich form, with all that gooey cheese and ham goodness. And those Duck Fat Potatoes? Insanely delicious, fluffy inside, and just bursting with flavor. My husband ate the cheeseburger and gave me a bit. We both loved it!!! After everything we ate we were somehow still able to polish off the Pot de Creme. ❤

But what really made our night was when Michael Lugo, the owner, swung by our table. He's such a a great guy, chatting with us like we were old pals. You can tell he's super passionate about great food food and making sure everyone has a wonderful time. Having La Nouvelle in the neighborhood is seriously awesome – can't wait to hit it up again soon for another epic meal!
