Easy well marked hike from I70. 1500 ft elevation gain. No fish in the lower lake...just salamanders.

3 mile hike with views of ten mile range and Copper mountain. Lots of wildlife.

The trail was well maintained, but you could hear traffic noise and sounds from Copper Mountain on most of the hike. We prefer to go where we can enjoy the sounds of nature.
