Springmaid Pier

We didn't pay o go onto the pier but we walked down to get some pics under it. There were a ton of shells between the Nash St free parking and the pier. The parking is right beside the beachfront campground . It really seems like a lot for a family of 5 to pay $15 ($3/person) to just walk out on it but it helps them with upkeep I'm sure.
Either way ....it was pretty to look at the waves under the pier as they were crashing.

It's a beautiful pier but you do need to buy a walking or fishing pass. The walking pass only cost $3 though. Lots of benches along to rest on with a fantastic view. The little gift shop was nice as well with plenty of trinkets and souvenirs. A nice place to sit down and take in the ocean!

Fun evening fishing with my family. Mostly Caught a bunch of baby sharks but a guy beside us caught some awesome midsize flat looking fish (not sure what he said they were) we also saw a ton of full-size sharks that would immediately eat the baby sharks we threw back in! Best part was seeing a giant sea turtle surfaced! Ladies at the shop were nice and helpful. I tried to go to the restaurant on the pier but at 8 pm Saturday they already closed their kitchen and were only serving drinks.

We love it!!! Lots of room on the pier. Friendly staff and clean restrooms. My boyfriend and I both caught a baby shark. Of course, we had to throw them back. Every time we go, we see at least 2 big sharks. This time, we saw 2 huge sea turtles. It's never a dull moment. We love it ❤

Our son has been begging to go fishing at a Pier, this place did not disappoint. Spring maid Pier was very clean, prices were great, and not too crowded. Has a cute little gift shop and place to grab a quick bite right on the pier, good for someone who's not fishing to be occupied.

Standing on a pier, gazing out at the vast ocean, can be a serene and introspective experience. The rhythmic sound of the waves and the expansive view often bring a sense of peace and connection to nature. While fishing may not always yield the desired results, it's the patience and the practice that make the experience worthwhile. Each trip is an opportunity to learn and improve, and indeed, there may be better luck next time with a catch worthy of the wait.

We had a blast fishing from the pier. It wasn't too crowded. It was quite peaceful. The restaurant beside the pier was very accommodating with the food & drinks.

Beautiful pier in a pretty and fun area of the beach. Three dollars to walk the pier. Fabulous views. People of all ages love it.

Very well maintained pier with lots of fishing and sharks. It's the longest pier in Myrtle Beach and ypu can rent fishing poles and equipment if you didn't bring any.

Love the view, the pier was beautiful it was so peaceful took lots of pictures of birds and the ocean motels sand everything it’s cost 3 dollars to go and n the pier.

Very nice walk, would recommend buying a ticket in the morning and going back at sunset with the same wrist band.

The people were great. The Pier was clean. They have seats, cutting stations, bathrooms and fresh running water with sinks on the pier.

A very nice pier that is great for fishing or just a walk out for a great view. The beach around it is very nice so everyone can stay happy. The small shop on the pier has all the essentials. The time I was there everything was very family friendly.

Really pretty. You can fish and there's a gift shop with necessities right there.

It’s a little bit of a rip off you have to pay to fish but hey it’s a great pier that’s kept in good shape and there is actually fish. Caught four different fish in two days and six total. Not a bad spot. Plus it has cool sharks that go up and down the pier you can watch.

Loved every minute of fishing. Store is convenient attaches to pier but $3.00 for a candy bar and $3.00 for chips os a little over kill. They have bait in store as well. The guy that walks up and down the pier (that works at the pier) screaming at surfers and at people that take their shoes off while sitting down fishing needs something else to do instead of disturbing the people fishing! Be glad those kids are not doing drugs and sitting at home playing video games, when someone is sitting and fishing why does in matter if their shoes are on? That was only issue while we visited but the pier itself was nice and accommodating for fishing.

Off-season, so beautiful views and small crowd. Pier is wheelchair accessible via front ramp. There are bathrooms past the public area, for folks who pay the $3.00 pier access fee. Bathroom is also wheelchair accessible.

This pier is (in my opinion) the best pier around. You do have to buy either a walking or fishing pass, but the walking will only bring you to 3 dollars. The pier goes pretty far out into the ocean as well and has amazing views.

Love this place! No I'm not a fisherman, but it was still awesome to walk onto it and see nothing but ocean as far as your eye would allow. It costs $3 per person and if you want to go on it from being on the beach, you can be in your bathing suit, but you must have shoes on. No shoes=no entry. No dogs are allowed
