Dale is an extremely upfront and honest man. The gun prices are always reasonable in if you have thoughts, he will sit down and spend the time explaining any questions that you may have. Also has a nice selection of ammo which is always competitive with everybody else. Sometimes it’s a little bit cheaper from him and you’re getting a better quality.

Have you ever dealt with a neighborhood friendly firearms professional with generous prices and straightforward customer service? This is how i see this shop every time i pay a visit.

walked into the store and was greeted with a smile, questions about what I wanted, and jokes galore. owner is extremely funny, knowledgeable, and really down to earth. highly recommend.

I enthusiastically recommend this store for firearms. I see all the reviews and honestly I felt the same way in my first few minutes in the store. However, I realized that it wasnt arrogence but dry humor and regardless of the state of the inside, there is still a large selection and decent prices.

They handled a firearm transfer for be promptly and efficiently. That was my first visit to the store. It is small but the place has loads of a variety of stuff. More than stores many times its' size. Probably has that one thing you are looking for. I will go there before I go somewhere else or online.

This is a great store, was pleasantly surprised to find a great inventory of firearms.... Exactly what a real gun shop should be... Could have spent an entire day just looking at the wonderful vintage firearms on display. Dale is a gentleman and a fine American. Highly recommend.

I have purchased a couple of firearms here over the years, but have stopped in to look around many more times. If you have a problem with the owners attitude then you either have no sense of humor or you really are an idiot and you should probably go back to playing in traffic. The prices are easily the best you will find, most likely the same or less than you can find at a gun show. If you are near by you should go check out the selection and the WWII and other war memorabilia one of the other reviewers is so ashamed of. The store is cramped, the owner is very knowledgeable and accommodating (even willing to mail your ID to your house if you walk out with a new purchase leaving your aforementioned ID on the counter).

I was a little reluctant to go here based on some of the one star reviews that I saw on yellow pages, but decided to check it out anyway because a few other shops didn't sell Kimber products. Overall, I had a great experience here. The owners know what products they have and were friendly, courteous, and respectful. I found the pricing here to be pretty fair and competitive, and would recommend to anyone in the market to purchase a firearm to check out their shop.

Have made a couple of purchases there. One was for a extremely rare Coonan Compact which Dale had. He has a great shop with a fairly large inventory of fire arms and ammo. He may be matter of fact, but extremely knowledgeable. I have always found him to be rather pleasant.

I'm not really sure as what people are saying in their comments. Really,...I called the store & was looking for a single barrel shotgun and was looking for a specific model. The owner knew exactly what I was looking for and there was no BSing. He told me the price over the phone which by the way was cheaper than other three stores (1 in MD and 2 in VA) and made sure if he had it in stock. Very quick and easy transaction. I drove 20 Miles to his place and the gun was ready for me!

This guy knows his stuff. I'm really glad that I actually went there and wasn't discouraged by some of the comments that I had read online.

Always a great time getting what I need (or mostly want). I'm not to sure why the few bad reviews, especially the one from "MIKE HUNT". I think his name says it all!
If you are looking to wander around and hold every gun you see, try Gander Mountain or Dick's. those guys get paid by the hour to just answer questions and let you fondle the merchandise while your wife is Bra shopping!
When you know what you want, just ask the owner (he is a one man operation), and you will find that the prices are ridiculously cheap compared to Loudoun guns and the big box sporting goods stores.
If you try to haggle due to a cheaper price on "Cheaper than dirt", remember that that price does not include shipping or FFL transfer fees!
If you are looking to sell, don't go in looking to get the same money you over paid for. Everyone is in business to make a profit. if you don't like the offer you get, try a pawn shop! (you will get even less).
This store has got to be the coolest "old school" gun shop around.
basically, if you go in and waste his time, you will be treated appropriately!

Love shopping at the store. was in last week and he has far more inventory than any other shop in the area. he has some of the best deals in the area nad some are even better than what you can get on the internet. his case pricing on ammo is even cheaper than what you can get at walmart. Great guy and fun to shop. will always be going there from know on.

Big selection for a small store. Owner was friendly. It is cramped but that's because he has a lot of stuff in there. RE: the swastika flag mentioned by one reviewer. Get a grip, it is displayed as a war relic, a note that it was captured by an American Officer.

If you want the place to look like Macy's go to the shop down the street.

The prices can't be beat and selection is pretty awesome considering its a small store. It's got a hometown feel which is very nice! This is going to be my go-to gun and accessory shop in the future!

To be honest. Purcells is a great shop. Dale is cool. The past 15 times ive been in there I havnt bought a thing and he hasnt thrown me out yet!!

Found exactly what I needed here on the first trip and really enjoyed speaking with the owner. Got a great price on the gun I wanted. A+
