Unorthodoc

I love the Unorthodoc model and it has worked really well for my family. But, what I love the most is the rapport I experience with the entire staff. They really listen and take quick action to get me the diagnostics and treatments that I need. I'm very excited that they are expanding, and look forward to the next phase in their development of space and services.

This is truly a unique and wonderful practice. The office space itself is cozy and welcoming. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and Dr. Nayo has the best bedside manner of any doctor I’ve ever seen. My first visit, she actually sat and talked to me for over an hour to get my history and address concerns. Over an hour, with the doctor! Recommendations (and afterwards, test results) were explained clearly and thoroughly, and they are always mindful and open about costs of procedures. They schedule visits in such a way that you’re never left in a waiting room for an extended period of time, and they use a messaging app that enables the timely answering of questions. Visits with doctors at other practices have felt mechanical, rushed, and inattentive to my voiced concerns and needs, but Unorthodoc goes above and beyond to make one feel valued and cared for. This is what all medicine should be.

Dr. Annis has been my primary care doctor for over five years now, and I could not feel more taken care of by her and the Unorthodoc team. Unorthodoc is beholden to neither a corporation nor insurance networks so it feels like what it must have been like to visit your family doctor decades ago: a doctor caring for a person rather than a data and income point on corporate and insurance spreadsheets. Dr. Annis doesn't rush you through an appointment and checks on your overall health, top to bottom, physical and psychological. I feel so lucky to have found this team.

Firstly, Dr Nayo is my physician. My husband and I joined the team a few years ago and found her to be sincere, thorough and she's also very likeable. Qualities at the top of our list. Secondly, the direct pay model has worked out amazingly for us. A conventional doc sees a staggering, 2000k patients! Direct Pay doc is more like 500! We no longer put up with being part of a heard, sitting in wait only to be rushed once face to face with a white coat. We are now "seen" and "heard" and "cared for". And it means everything.

We love the personal care and attention we get at Unorthodoc! We started out with Dr Annis as our pediatrician for our kids and then we were so satisfied that the whole family joined. We love being able to quickly get answers electronically and we feel like we have the whole Unorthodoc team watching out for us!

Ever since we moved from Europe about 7 years ago, and still going strong with the Unorthodoc! Dr. Annis and Jodi know each one of my family better than we know each other, and there is not more reassuring way to medicine today! Thank you to looking and taking care of us! We’re an Unorthodoc family and really love this practice. We have two kids and any time I’ve had questions they get right back to us and fit us in if we need to be seen. They have always gotten back to us super fast and the systems they use make it so easy to communicate for tele-health issues. Lovely people, lovely practice! We feel very well-cared for by Darly and Jodi and Drs Nayo and Annis.

The excellent doctors at Unorthodoc provide such a wonderfully humane, personal service that it may be unfair to compare them to other doctors, who are forced to see so many people every day. Dr. Mayo packs so much focused attention and thoughtful responsiveness in to every visit, i am amazed every time I see her. And if I forget something, I just text it on the app they use and she gets back to me very quickly. She treats every question with respect, even if she disagrees. I appreciate them very much and wish them all the patients they want to have!

This practice is what primary care should be. Doctors that are incredibly intelligent, knowledgeable, caring, competent and kind. Communication is excellent. Dr. Nayo is the epitome of what a primary care professional should be. I'm so grateful to have her take such good care of me.

Dr. Nayo is amazing! She’s friendly, easy to talk to, non-judgmental, knowledgeable, and easy to get a hold of. I wish all doctors used the Unorthodoc method because I feel seen and heard as a human, I don’t have to deal with middle men and instead can go straight to the provider, and it just feels nice to have this resource after moving across the country. The monthly membership fee is super reasonable (almost too low) for what you get. 10/10 recommend Dr. Nayo!

They are a relationship-based practice and knowing that they care about my health and well-being has honestly increased my health and well-being! Dr Annis knows me and takes time to fully engage with me at every scheduled appointment. A couple of times I have experienced a minor emergency situation. Their response was quick, easy (using secure electronic platforms), effective and mindful of cost. I hope Unorthodox will become a model for responsive, timely and competent patient care for the medical profession writ large.

Dr Nayo is the best there is out there. The perfect doctor. We are moving to Florida and wish we could take her with us. She has looked after my parents as though they were royalty, they are aging and as such each have a couple of medical problems. The Good Dr Nayo took time through all the problems to determine the best way to help them. I am a doctor myself. It doesn't get much better than this. Love her.

Unorthodoc is an absolutely wonderful practice. We have been going to Dr. Cory Annis for nearly 15 years. She is an amazing physician. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Putting the care back in healthcare! Dr. Annis and Jodi are on to something special here. After years of dealing with the typical insurance based practice where I was kept away from the doctor at all cost unless I would have an in person office visit it is so refreshing to have a question and shoot off a text and get an answer two minutes later. The access and convenience of this practice are the absolute best. Dr Annis always takes her time, is thorough and never makes me or my family feel like she needs to move us through to get to her next patient. The payment model is a bargain and we feel lucky to have joined this practice when we did as they are filling up quickly.
