Duke Primary Care Meadowmont

Serena Zhou-Talbert is my primary care physician. I had to wait a while for an appointment, but glad I did! She is very kind, patient, and probably the best listener of any physician I've had. It's clear that she cares about finding out the right diagnosis for her patients and ruling out other potential diagnoses. Great care team here! The scheduling team is very pleasant as well.

Friendly and Attentive! The staff is highly professional from the desk clerks to the phlebotomists. Dr. Schmidt is my favorite, always taking time to listen and help.

Decided to switch my primary care over to Duke after going to UNC initially.
Very happy with my first visit here! Friendly staff, the provider I saw (Kelli Tart) was wonderful, and a very convenient location. Labs were done the same day, quickly -- and results back within a day or so with helpful commentary from the provider.

I just got off the Phone with Casey from the Meadowmont office. My husband is in acute pain and in need of a timely appt. None of our primary care providers were available till tomorrow. Casey went out of her way- searched, read reviews and found a more timely appointment for today. She was the perfect example of a patient advocate and we are grateful!

I have not had a good experience like this with a Primary Care in over 20 years. The staff is so knowledgeable, treats you with the utmost respect. It is not claustrophobic. No, it's not "old school" where you see a GP. But who needs old school when you have a team?! You don't need an advocate bc they are advocating for you! it is a team of people, each with their own expertise (impressive educations.) The phlebotomist was perfect! I am in awe.

Dr. Larson is phenomenal. She is welcoming, knowledgeable and committed to her patients. I have never had any issues with scheduling and find that all the staff at this center are very kind and professional.

Excellent staff that I feel truly go above and beyond for their patients. I don't know what's up with some of the negative reviews on here, but I have gone here several times, and the quality of the visit has always been absolutely outstanding. I highly recommend this Primary Care center.

Dr. Dancel is amazing. Conscientious, thorough, kind, caring and always on point. He manages a variety of health issues for both myself and husband. We have followed him from UNC to Duke over the years. You can trust him and he will endeavor to do his very best for you. All with an engaging smile on his face.

Easy to schedule appointments. My healthcare professional I see helped set up a bunch of specialists appointments recently. They listen to you during the appointment.

Professional , kind and helpful

After my husband attended a recent visit, we were stunned at the bill. It would seem that there is a little bit of a disingenuous billing practice occurring. My husband has loved the care he received at Duke Primary Care, but his annual physical ended up costing a lot of money. Apparently, if you voice a complaint at your visit you are charged once for a wellness visit and again for an office visit. Which begs the question, what really is the point of an annual wellness visit if you are going to billed for both the annual visit and a problem visit? Clearly Duke Primary Care is trying to make as much money as possible on the visit. However, we have a high deductible health plan, so it is also crushing to be billed for an additional visit when you thought you were receiving an annual visit that is covered under your plan.
