The Salvation Army Family Store

I have been going to this thrift shop for many years now and since Jessica took over it has more warmth to it and Linda and Judy are absolute dolls.For the people that have made comments of how high they are,if they did have to raise prices unfortunately it has had to do with them only able to take donations while the store is open because there were so many people stealing the donations while they were closed,that plus prices go up in general everywhere.They try to be as fair as they can in pricing so please take other things in thought before judging.The Salvation Army does more charity for the public that you could never imagine.

8-19-22 Lots of variety, and friendly, staff. Ms Linda is a very sweet lady, that runs cash register. She makes you feel like family. """"""" Udate: 2/21/23. They have reorganized every thing in the non-clothing side of the store, so nice now. It was really a pleasure to shop there today. Able to shop quickly and be on my way.

Wonderful. We found 5 lovely sweaters, 2 for hubby and 3 for me. All lovely and only $5. We were very happy as we had been looking in Wal-Mart and other stores, but all were gone, and we really needed some nice heavy ones.

Great place and the prices are good. People that works there are so friendly.

The staff, and manager Rafael, are excellent! Highly recommend Salvation Army of Dalton, GA to anyone for any type of community service hours , or even just to shop. Who doesn’t love a good thrift store with a good purpose?

Got some nice new clothes today!!! 2 pairs of like new boots, purse and other good stuff. Thrift stores most of the time if you look have really nice stuff.😊😊😊

II STARTED A FULLTIME JOB, AT SALVATION ARMY I HAD TO GO THROUGH A TEMP- AGENCY TO GET HIRED , I REALLY LOVED IT THERE, JUST HANG UP CLOTHES AND TAG THEM WITH LITTLE PLASTC TAGS WITH A NEEDLE GUN ,I WASN'T AWARE HOW IMP0RTANT TO MAKE SURE I PUNCH IT THROUGH THE SEAM , I RUINED A WHOLE RACK OF CLOTHES I EVEN TOLD MY BOSS THAT I WOULD BUY THE WHOLE RACK .COME TO FIND OUT THEY EVEN RECYCLE THE CLOTHES TO GO TO ANOTHER COUNTRY , MY BOSS SAYS THEY CAN'T SELL THE ONES I DIDN'T TAG PROPERLY BECAUSE WHEN CUSTOMER'S PULL THE TAG OFF IT MAKES A BIG HOLE &THEY COMPLAIN SO THEY CAN GET IT CHEAPER !!!
I COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I WAS HEARING. I'M THINKING ALL THIS STUFF WAS DONATED THEY CHARGE TO MUCH AS IT IS . ANY WAY , I WAS FIRED 3 DAYS LATER , THE MGR. COULDN'T EVEN LOOK ME IN THE EYES HE LOOKED AT THE FLOOR THE WHOLE 10 SEC FOR HIM TO FIRE ME . I ASKED HIM WHAT WAS THE REASON HE SAYS BECAUSE I WAS TO SLOW ,SLOW,,SLOW !!! IT'S STILL HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE. IN THE SMALL PRINT OF ANY JOB , THE EMPLOYER CAN FIRE ANY EMPLOYEE FOR NO REASON . WHO GIVES A RIGHT TO JUST FIRE WHEN TOU CAN ? I DON'T THINK ITS THE AMERICAN WAY IN OUR COUNTRY TO MAKE EMPLOYEE'S LOOSE THEIR INCOME NOR THERE DIGNITY , I WAS AO EMBARRASSED WHEN I TOLD MY FAMILY & FRIENDS I GOT FIRED FROM SALVATION ARMY. WHO DOES THAT ? I THOUGHT SALVATION CARED ABOUT PEOPLE AND WERE CHRISTIAN ORG.
I GUESS IF I WAS RINGING THE BELL AT CHRISTMAS FOR THEM , I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN FIRED FOR RINGING THE BELL TO SLOW. ! I HOPE THAT ANYBODY READS THIS CAN UNDERSTAND FULLY HOW UNFAIR I WAS TREATED.

Awesome prices n tons of stuff. Well worth the visit.
